Tigershark Pool Service

Not only does Ray keep our pool looking spotless but we have had a number of stupid emergencies (breaking a glass door into the pool hours before a big pool party, heater breaking hours before a pool photo shoot) and Ray has always come out on short notice and stayed for hours to make sure that everything is resolved. He is our pool super hero!

Ray was very responsive when trying to get my business. Responded to texts immediately. Even when he left the water running when filling the pool and flooded my yard when i was out of town, he was apologetic and suggested i get a timer to prevent that from happening again. i asked him to do that. However… IMMEDIATELY after he installed it, i no longer got cold water upstairs, toilets stopped flushing, and i can’t do laundry. I texted him and FIVE days later he has not come back out to check it out. He did not «call in the morning» like he said he would. With two young children you can imagine how much fun it is not to have working toilets baths or showers and now laundry working on the floor with our bedrooms. Ray has stopped responding to my texts, his voicemail is full so i can’t leave one, and his website is no longer up. (i was trying to look for another contact number)
I will udpate this review if this ever gets resolved, but when there’s a problem with ANY business, they either sink or swim and Tigershark just sank.
UPDATE: so Ray came out and figured out there are TWO main valves outside my house. he turned them both off but then only turned one back on, and forgot about the other one when i spoke on the phone with him the day after. now, had he just responded right away instead of 5 days later, i wouldn’t have had to deal with all this hassle especially during the holidays. with that said – even though my friends are telling me i should get a new pool person, i have to say their service of the pool has been fine. and i’m not one to hold grudges so i will keep them and see if it works out. i’m just really disappointed they didn’t take this problem – and their mistake seriously enough to come back over to my house immediately to take care of it. maybe he doesn’t have kids.

We contacted Ray after being disenchanted with Leslie’s Pool Service. We needed our filter cleaned and Ray showed up promptly the next day. His fee was very reasonable and he did an incredible job. Not only did Ray leave the area clean, the filter never worked as well as it did when he finished.

This place is a life saver in cold AND hot weather! My apartment complex was cute, but the maintenance and management were fickle at best. The pool and jacuzzi were great… when they worked. After some management changes it seemed like no one bothered cleaning or fixing the pool and jacuzzi for months.
Finally, on a particularly cold day, I took it upon myself to contact someone and passed it on to the manager. This was the closest one, but with only one review at the time I was kind of hesitent to recommend it. When Ray came to look at the broken spa and dirty pool he was super friendly, knowledgable, and quoted a really good price (I do my comparison shopping, fellow Unilocalers ;). He fixed the motor and pump on the jacuzzi so it was nice and toasty and cleaned out the pool so it was sparkling again. He even did some PH or chemical checks while I was there but I don’t really know what that entails, I was just happy to be able to swim in something decent (and safe) again.
I’ve since moved out but my mom lives there, so my son and I visit nearly every week. My mom is overly conservative with the energy so we go to the pool area if weather permits. When it’s chilly: relax in the spa. When it’s a hot summer day: chill out by the pool. It had been about a year when I ran into Ray again the other. I had no idea they kept him on. He’s still really sweet and remembered me, and since the building kept him I know I’m not the only one happy with the work.
Bonus: Pool never smells overly chlorinated.

I’ve used other pool service and none by far have compare to how happy I was when choosing Tigershark they go above and beyond to make sure that all equipment is working properly and make sure that water is always crystal clear. Great service, really know what they’re doing. If you don’t like or let alone trust your pool man. Tiger shark pools the way to go!!! Convenient and true to their word. Also I’ve known ray for a long time and he really knows his craft!

After we moved from Studio City to BH, we noticed our pool service fee was increasing every month. We didn’t think anything of it until we also noticed miscellaneous charges to our monthly bill. We started to ask our neighbors and they felt we were being overcharged now that we moved to Beverly Hills. Three of my neighbors highly recommended Ray. Sure enough our quote for service was half of our old «trusted» pool man. The service is of high quality considering our complex Grotto. Ray has the experience we needed for our pool, and is honest with prices and costs. He always asks before proceeding with costly labor and repair, he explains the issue and thinks of other resolves before giving in to the costly alternatives.
His honesty, expertise and professionalism is no doubt why he services most of our street. He is trusted to come and go from our property which I know that in our area is rare.

I have very high expectations and have fired 4 pool guys in the last two years. Ray has been professional, responsive, punctual, spends quality time and is detail oriented. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. I’m glad that there is still good pool guys out there!
