I went for my first check up.Dr.Kim was very nice and very helpful. The staff are vey helpful. I would definitely recommend anybody to get there eyes exam.

I called to make an appointment and the person I spoke to had trouble verifying my insurance. They insisted it was the insurers fault and refused to make me an appointment until I cleared things up with my insurer. I spent 30 mins talking to my insurer who assured me there were no problems. I called Symar Vision Center back, someone else answered, who also refused to make me an appointment, even after I explained that my insurer assured me there was no problem.
I called a different in-​network VSP provider, who then made me an appointment within minutes and was not curt and rude to me on the phone. No one should be treated the way both of these receptionists treated me. I hope you all take your business elsewhere!

Ordered my husband’s and son’s glasses from this place. Told us it will be 5 to 10 business days to arrive. It’s been 2 weeks and still no glasses. Called to ask what deal was and now they tell me it can take up to 14 days. Got upset and told them if my glasses weren’t there by the end of the week I will like my money back. The guy didn’t take it so well and gave me attitude. These people forget if it wasn’t for customers they wouldn’t have a job

I’ve been coming here for a 15+ years I think. Dr. Stevens is my regular eye doctor. I did make an appointment once with another doctor at Sylmar Vision Center, that I was not comfortable with so I haven’t made an appointment with anyone else since then. I also have been to other places to get inexpensive glasses or checkups and I haven’t felt confident about the end results. (Eyesight — kinda serious business. I should mention I usually wear some heavy duty contacts and have an astigmatism.)
My visits have been quick yet thorough. He’s confident and friendly which makes me feel better about the visit. The staff is efficient and I appreciate that.

Just popped in real quick to get my screw replaced on my frames. Popped in and out no charge. Great service!

Not a big fan of this place. I Came in for an eye exam purchased my glasses frame and everything. After picking up my glasses i realized the prescription was very strong. I called and mentioned it to the receptionist and all she had to say it takes time to get use to them. I mean this was not my first pair of glasses. I tried wearing them «TO GET USE TO THE PRESCRIPTION» and yet all i got was headaches. VERY dissapointed for the money and time wasted me tasking off work to come to this place.

I had a great experience with Dr. Stevens during my eye exam. He was thorough and meticulous. However, when I called for a follow up for a contact lens fitting, the person to whom I spoke was rude and didn’t want to take the time to look through the record to find the prescription the doctor had already written. She told me to call back the following Tuesday.

This is the second time i try to find out if my insurance is accepted, both times with 2 different staff i was treated extremely rude. They are not customer friendly and don’t try to help you out. They just lost 2 patients. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! EVEN THE MANAGER JUAN EXTREMELY RUDE!!! I do not recommend this place to anyone! I gave them another chance after the first time they were rude but they proved me right!!!

Sylmar Vision is a top notch vision care provider. I used to deal with Lenscrafters and I was not dissatisfied with them. But Sylmar Vision is definitely on another level.
I am considering Lasik surgery and the doctor sat me down and gave me a comprehensive overview of the pros and cons of the procedure, as well as other alternatives. Also after failing with contacts at Lenscrafters, Sylmar Vision helped me make them work for me while I contemplate the surgery options. I couldn’t be happier
with Sylmar Vision. Staff is good. Doctors are great. I’m a pretty critical fellow. Check out some of my other reviews. I don’t part with 5 stars easily. Oh. And the prices are reasonable as well.

I brought in a pair of broken sunglasses and within 5 minutes they found a screw that fit in the hinge and fixed it! And they didn’t even charge me for it. They were so friendly and welcoming to me when I first walked in and also to another woman who came in after me. I almost wish I still wore glasses so I could go here for my eye checks and frames. I’ll definitely recommend them to other people though :)

Medicore service at best. Staff is not friendly and should lighten up, as should the doctors.

I always get good, friendly and honest service when I come! Been to other places and this by far has been the best.

So here we are Saturday morning 930am and no one is even here. They are supposed to open at 9am. No signs on the door about not being ooen. Just very unprofessional, we had to pick up my daughters glasses, she is very excited, only to have that excitement crushed by some irresponsible employees who can’t open on time. I will follow up with a complaint to management.

Even after some time i still avoid Sylmar Vision Center. That Asian woman eye doctor’s horrible and humiliating treatment of me has still left an emotional scar on me. I still remember as if it was yesterday how she was so put off by me when i did absolutely nothing wrong.
Among the things she did to me: yelled at me, lost her patience with me after the examination barely began, made me feel like i am some kind of an idiot when i have been wearing glasses since i was in 3^rd grade and wearing contacts since 1994, expressed no care or concern for me, was very hostile, easily annoyed by mistakes i made (i.e. when asked to cover one eye, i not only covered it but also closed it too and my doing this made her very irate).
To this day i still hear her voice and her annoyance with me in my head. i feel traumatized by her treatment of me.

Dr. Stevens is the best and I also have had great experiences with the other doctors. Dr. Stevens is able to answer answer all your questions. It doesn’t seem like he or the other doctors are trying to rush you out the door.
I have been a customer for over 20 years since I was very young. It is very convenient and local.
Aubree is very helpful with contact lenses. I like this place because they also have staff who is very patient when a customer is looking for glasses.

The Doctors are great but the help at the front desk is just awful! If the doctors had better help in the front I would still be going here.

1 Star because my last eye doctor there was kind and wonderful
— 4 stars because the employees who are not the eye doctors are TERRIBLE! I needed help finding frames that fit my head right and they had NO IDEA what they were doing or how to move nose pads or ANYTHING. I said the glasses were not even. They tried to convince me they were. You can see by the nose pad impression on my face, that left side sits at least ½ an inch lower. I had to tuck the right side up down on my ear and lift the left side so it didn’t fully ‘sit’ on my ear so it appeared more even. They said that’s how they were supposed to fit.
I’ve been wearing glasses since the 3^rd grade and never had them not sit on my ears right before.
I said they’re too tight in the middle, my glasses were taken to the backroom to have the nose pads adjusted, when they were given back to me, BOTH lenses had been cut in a semi-​circle in the middle of the glasses from the tool used to adjust the nose pads.
After just getting these brand new glasses, they cut the lenses. I had to send them back in to the lab and go another week+ with nothing but contacts as my glasses were repaired. And even though my glasses had been damaged by the employees of the store, it was written down that I SCRATCHED my glasses, and that used up my warrenty on the lenses.
When I finally got my glasses back, the left hinge had been smashed, and by smashed I mean the bottom half of the left hinge was broken in two, and a big screw had to be shoved through the top part just to keep the frame together.
BRAND NEW GLASSES! And this is what they did to them! And they gave them back to me in THAT CONDITION.
Absolutely no responsibility taken for damaging my lenses or breaking my frames.
I had to report them to VSP with a detailed list of all the dates and times I went back and forth to this shop for eyeglasses repairs, and VSP sent me a check to recoup my out of pocket losses on the frames.
The people in this shop used to be so good at adjusting frames, but I will NEVER EVER go there again! People who knew what they were doing should be able to make suggestions on appropriate frame sizes to fit a cilent’s nose bridge and head.
This incident happened 2 years ago in 2011, and to be fair, I had previously gone to Sylmar Vision Center for about 10 years, semi-​regularly, prior to that with few problems except for 1 over-​perscription error. That incident really ruined it for me though. I actually skipped my last annual appointment just because I didn’t want to deal with them. I have since found a new Optometrist in Santa Clarita.

Dr, Mardian is the best. I’ve gone a few times and the staff is great and don’t make you wait.

I use to go here all of the time til they screwed me for 350 for some super cheap wannabe brand glasses. they got scratched really bad in a matter of weeks when other glasses i have had haven’t gotten scratched in years… low budget glasses they have. Also, they sold me some contacts for 180 for 6 months and they were the cheapest crap they can give you. They would get stuck to my eyes, dried up quickly, they were some cheap brand I never heard of. Don’t think I will be returning here. They ruined my good experiences.
The one thing that is good is the Dr. Stevens is really nice and helpful. That’s about it.
