Amazing Mexican food, very authentic and price is great! I wish we lived closer so we could eat here every week. 9 of us ate for $ 43. Pretty hard to be with this quality and amount of food.

2 stars just cause some of the food is not bad (but carne asada is very dry), the service is horrible! They messed up my order and refused to fix it cause she «didn’t hear me!». If you get your order to go, their portions are smaller than if you eat there. The cheapness of this place is an exaggeration!

This place is only good for their hard shell tacos for $ 1.00 on Fridays. Their carne asana is disgusting it is very stiff and tastes old has no flavor. Their sopes are very thick with tons of masa would never get one again. Their ceviche has more onion and tomatoe then shrimp and fish. Tacos are the only thing good from this I think this is the only thing that keeps the place open! Their customer service is a little grouchy as well sometimes …

Food was pretty bad both times I went. Don’t recommend the meat. It looks weird and tastes gross. Service is very friendly. Nice people. Recommend they start using better quality meat or cook it differently. I could copy and paste this review to the place next door as it’s exactly the same. Two Mexican restaurants next to each other and they’re both terrible. What the f*?!
You can bring out the best in meat if you marinade it with garlic, shallots, honey, & fish sauce. But then it’s more of a Vietnamese dish.
Update: forgot how bad it was and went back months later. Gave me 2 half sausage pieces, the equivalent of 1 sausage. gave me one piece of bacon and cut it into 3 pieces. You got to be so effing stingy to pull a weasel move like that. Can’t say the food was good. It had taste of dish water to it. I don’t know how they stay open. Must be a money laundering operation? Can’t possibly be the food. What am I missing? Nothing I’ve ordered here has ever been good. I don’t believe any of the good reviews. Lies.

What a yummy hidden jewel! Not much to look at inside but the food was great! The chips and salsa are to die for! :)

Stopped in out of the blue only to find great food and service in a very clean restaurant.

Grade A rating, sweet staff (Erika) with a great attitude. Prices are right and the food is great. Chicken Crispy tacos and Chile Rellanos can’t be beat!

While in the neighborhood in Sylmar, the family and I ate dinner there. We had Chicken Mole, Shrimp Cocktail, Beef Tacos, and Tostadas. Price was great, service was friendly, and most important — the food was excellent. So if you’re around Sylmar, eat there!

Went in on a Sunday afternoon heading back to the bay with a party of 12 ppl. Had a lil bit of everything. Tacos good mojara (fish) plate slamming, 7mares soup Wow excelente and shrip n steak great.
I love hole in the wall places. This is one of those. One of those places I would go back to every time I want great homemade Mexican.

Great place for Mexican food both, the cashier Erica and the owner’s wife are great the owner and son are good cooks. will always return there. The hamburgers are great, the fish sandwich are also good, love the seviche tostadas, the tostada salads are good.

We were debating between this place and the one next door (which is my favorite). We ordered, two taquitos de asada, a cocktail de camarón and dos taquitos aguacate de pollo. Los taquitos that came out were beef, which isn’t what I ordered and were insipid. El cocktail was okay, not the best but okay. Overall, the place was okay.

Found this place upon suggestion by a worker at the Wildlife Learning Center. It’s very good! It’s sort of a hole in the wall but clean tables and eating area. My favorite thing is that they have jaiva ceviche! It’s so hard to find the right flavor ceviche and was perfect. My husband had the carne asada burrito and loved it!
