The conchas are the best! Birote(or bolillos) are as authentic as they get, chewy crust, airy and soft inside. Be wary of your surroundings on the area, lock your car. Be ready to stand in line for a while. But, trust me, it’s all worth it!

Best conchas ever. You have to get them as soon as they are out of the oven because they don’t last. Thats how good they are, I swear

If you’re the type of person that doesn’t care what you eat then this is the place for you. Their guateque was super blaaand, the red salsa was spicy(sin sason), and I don’t know why but their conchas tasted like platano and I HATEBANANA!

Honestly! I’m a sales man that visits all parts of LA. This is my go to spot for tacos, burritos and the famous house special guateques. All is made to order plus their bolio is amazing all on outs own. As people commented the sweet bread is the best you will ever have no kidding. Not the best looking place but believe me one taste will have you over look that. Don’t come at lunch time place is packed, phone order is best. They don’t skimp on anything, burritos look like old school not like 25 cent frozen burritos like most places now an day. Guateques are $ 3 and believe me you will get full. Last but not least enjoy!!!

This hole in the wall place took me by surprise. I went in today and had a carne Asada guaquete. I was amazed to see the amount of meat they put in it. I was sure there was no way anything else would fit in it. Then along with the beans and meat, they added a huge chunk of queso fresco and tons of jalapeños. I will definitely go back. It was delicious.

I wish this place had a bigger seating area. It’s very small in there and lines are usually long but so worth it. The carne asada is good!!! Carnitas seemed fresh and full of flavor. So far everything I have tried has been great. And the prices are really great. They are very generous with their portions. And the sweet bread… can’t forget that! It always seems freshly made. I usually call in my order so I can avoid the lines.

Went here for the first time and got an asada burrito. Let me just tell you… I will be coming back! Burrito was huge and well proportioned. Meat is really good and has some sort of «smokey mesquite» taste to it.

Let me just start with the service, the lady who took our order was very nice and friendly! Big kudos to that. Second, the guateques that we order were made perfectly. The meat(carne asada) was cooked just perfectly, none of that over cooked burn with a whole lot of all kinds of seasonings stuff, just nice and tender. Lastly, the bread looked delicious to, unfortunately I didn’t had the chance to try it. Hopefully next time, since I am considering to come back when ever I’m back in the valley.

Excellent burrito and a good portion for lunch if you have a good appetite. The carne asada was cooked very well, not tough but moist and just a hint of grill char and the flavor was amazing. Authentic home made style cooking.

Best bolillo around. Pan dulce is the awesome too. The only bad thing is the wait and long lines :(

Let’s start out by saying I’ve had my share of good conchas in my lifetime and this place was a disappointment. I never thought I’d say this but the conchas are too soft and don’t hold their shape when trying to eat them while holding a glass of ice cold milk. When I arrived I had to wait 7 minutes for the conchas to come out which wasn’t bad since I don’t mind waiting for fresh food. However, as soon as they got out people were cutting each other in line to get some bread. Absolutely no organization and is why they got two stars.

If you have patience to deal with ignorant, rude, and ungrateful people, then this is your place. After standing in line to order food for a long time, we were told we were in the wrong line and we had to go to the back of the line and wait our turn. The line was by the entrance. The workers saw us standing there but waited to tell us once we were at the register. We walked out and don’t plan to go back.

This is one of the best Mexican bakeries in the valley. It’ll be tough to beat this one, really. Their bread taste like it came straight from a bakery in Mexico. The bolillos and the conchas(sweet bread) are soft and they remain that way for days! You normally have to eat these kinds of treats the day you buy them unless you don’t mind eating rock hard bread the next day. For some reason el milagro’s bread doesn’t go stale especially if you keep it covered in a container. Mornings are pretty busy particularly on the weekends… prepare to wait and be pushed around a little bit haha. Believe me though, the battle will be well worth it when you make it home and sit down to enjoy your beans and cheese stuffed bolillo! There are trays and tongs you can use to select your goodies I just hate that the tongs are always caked in sugar and frosting from being used by previous customers. I know it would be too difficult to wash them after each use; it’s unrealistic and impractical. It’s just the germ freak in me speaking out.
