Don’t let the outside fool you. Looks like they’re almost done with a nice upgrade of the whole place. The outside looks pretty blah, but the room is nice. Nice bed, couch, tv, bathroom. Almost upscale for this price range! There’s a small workout room with really old machines, but whatever, the treadmill worked, so I’m happy. And there’s an indoor(heated) pool and a hot tub! Didn’t get a chance to go in, but they looked nice and clean, and the water felt great when I stuck my hand in. I love that we were able to park our car right in front of our room’s outside door(there’s also a door to the indoor hallway). It made bringing lots of stuff(and a cat!) inside much easier, and we had peace of mind knowing our car was so close and we’d probably hear if anything happened to it(we’re moving cross-country, so the car is packed full). I would definitely stay here again. Oh yeah, they have free wi-fi!

Maybe it was because I was camping with mud and hippies for 4 days, but I didn’t think this place was so bad. A friend and I crashed here on the way back from Bonnaroo. No reservations, just walked in around midnight when we were too tired to drive anymore. The woman at the front desk was really nice. and. chatty. haha. With an AAA discount, the room came to about $ 63 for 2 people in a 2 bed room. The foyer is a bit old and gaudy but I totally wanted to walk down their staircase and pretend I was on Dallas(did they have Asians on that show?). Our room had two entrances, one outside and one inside. Interesting. You could also tell everything was on the older side in the room, but it definitely didn’t reek of travelers past. Microwave, decent sized fridge, TV, table w/chairs, iron/ironing board, and a clean bathroom(no streaks or anything on the bathtub). The beds were comfy and I had 4 fluffy pillows to surround me. I probably could have picked a better comforter. but meh. Definitely didn’t hear any noise, cars or from other rooms. The AC is a little noisy, but then again, I’m used to screaming drunk chicks by my apartment in Boston. so it didn’t bother me much. The breakfast consisted of a make your own waffle station(!!! would have made some but we were running a few hours behind), some sad bagels and pastries, a selection of juice, and coffee. Not really worth sitting around for, we grabbed some cinnamon-y buns and bounced. I did scope out their indoor pool on the way out, which didn’t seem quite as bad as I envisioned. Clear water and whatnot. I’d definitely stay here again on a road trip down south.
