Roby’s Piano Shop is Vermont’s only SAMICK dealer. Store showings are by appointment only, so please call. SAMICK pianos, custom prepared for you by Roby’s, are quality instruments at affordable prices. We are small, but our reputation is big, serving NW Vermont & NE New York since 1975. In stock are new vertical and grand pianos, plus a few used pianos. We also do local piano moving, major in-​shop rebuilding, and we give you referrals to competent local piano technician-​tuners for your home service.

History

Established in 1975.

Tom started working on pianos in 1975, then left his mechanical engineering job in 1979 to work full-​time doing piano sales, service, & moving. Through the years Tom contracted 20 years as Technician for SUNY Plattsburgh, 10 years for Johnson State College, and had pianos for many schools, churches, teachers, students, and avocational pianists in his care. Presently Tom deals in new & used pianos, piano moving, and shop-​only rebuilding, but not regular home service.

Tom is a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) with the Piano Technician’s Guild. That means he has passed examinations in tuning & repair skills, and adheres to the PTG Code of Ethics. This means you can be more comfortable because he really does try to make his goal: skill, integrity, and service.
