The Body Therapy Center and School of Massage

I can’t believe that no one has reviewed this little gem. The Body Therapy Center is essentially a massage school. They offer massages by students for a discounted rate, much like how barber colleges work. The also have professional massage therapists who work here as well.
They have a very relaxing atmosphere. I think this is the result of having professional massage therapists there. The place is very comfortable in terms of light and temperature.
Seriously who does not like a massage? They do have a few intake forms that are a pain but are necessary. I forgot about that last time so arrive at your appointment a little early.
The pluses:
1. It is conveniently located right off the high way.
2. It is affordable. Like $ 50 for 1.5 hours. No group ons, no coupons, no secret handshakes! (…er perhaps a really bad joke about a massage facility!?!)
3. They take reservations.
4. Some evenings and weekends they are available.

The drawbacks:
1. The students are not always in session. So many holidays they are no available.
2. They only take cash
3. You will not have a relationship with your massage student. They most likely will not be there the next time you come back.
4. The school does not allow tipping. I do feel a little strange not paying a tip for what has always been very good professional service.
5. They turn the rooms fast, so sometimes you can get the bum’s rush.
I do not know why I stopped going here but I will be back!

Very knowledgeable and competent massage therapists!
This is not a place that cranks out as many mediocre massages in a day as they can (like some places around here which will not be named). I felt like I was listened to and my issues were addressed very skillfully.
Plus, the therapists have specializations in massage than I’ve heard of, so there’s a good deal of options to choose from!
