Great, fresh food. Have only had carry out, but really liked it. Chicken broccoli is super fresh and flavorful, not greasy. Good quantities for the price.

Disgusting. My daughter found a bunch of blonde hairs in the chicken wings. I understand maybe one hair accidentally getting into food but mutiple hairs!!! Absolutely gross!

This is my favorite Chinese food place. They are so great with food allergies. I have celiac disease and I never get sick when I eat here.

Definitely the best Chinese food on the North Shore. The food is always fresh, restaurant is always clean, and the delivery is always fast. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Never a wait for the dining room and they make great drinks too!

Prices are very fair. Food quality is basically what youd expect from a local chinese takeout place. The service is always quick though.

This is the best Chinese food I have found in the Boston area. The staff are friendly and don’t mind special requests. I’ve been eating at Yan’s since they were located in Lynn. I can’t say enough good things about the quality of their food and service. My favorite dishes are: Sriracha Chicken Kung Pao Chicken with no peanuts General Gau’s Chicken. Curry Chicken Beef Teriyaki Egg Rolls(they make the best anywhere) Thai Spicy Fried Rice

Stayed close to Yan’s – great food, everything was fresh even though I ordered fairly late on a weeknight. Very well priced – super friendly staff. A winner in my book. Large portions – ordered 3 dishes for just over 20 bucks and had my dinner for two nights.

Closing the Lynn location was not a good move, the new location only has street parking. The food seemed just to be average but the old location in Lynn was always 4 — 5 star.

My new favorite place! I’ve had Chinese all over the greater Boston area and this is one of the best. Fast service, good portions, great specials and also serves Tsing Tao beer! Family run and very clean, spacious and the food is top notch, both the traditional and Americanized variety. Good location for a nice walk along the beach after dinner too.

New to the area, and this has become a go-to spot for carry-out(we’ve dined in once). All in all, the food is very good. Everything tastes freshly prepared and doesn’t seem as it was sitting under a heat lamp for even a second. The service is very friendly and personable. On two or three occasions, one of us went in to order carry-out, then we continued walking our dog. Ten minutes later, our order was ready. Good food, great service and a very reasonable price. Love it!

Love the food here and the staff are very knowledgable. They know everyone on a first name basis and treat everyone like family. I hadn’t been here in awhile but my friend’s family used to come here often. When Yan’s heard that my friend’s dad passed away, they sent over a ton of his favorite dishes for free! They were so delicious and that was beyond kind of them to do! Love this place.

I love Yan’s. Nothing fancy, but their dishes are consistently yummy, they’re super friendly and they delivery to Lynn. This is my go-to local Chinese fix.

I’m adding a star based on our experience Christmas Eve. After evening service we went looking for something to eat. Ended up at Yan’s which was packed with diners. They accommodated us by politely asking a couple who was done and just chatting if we could have their table. Service was impeccable despite the crush of customers, the food came out quickly and was hot and plentiful. We had shrimp dumplings for appetizer and were only able to eat half of our eggplant in garlic sauce and Hunan chicken. While the food is still blander than we like it, everything tasted fresh and was not expensive. So, based on exemplary, friendly customer service under pressure and decent food for reasonable prices, I’m amending my previous ranking. Yan’s is OK.

Tried Yans for the first time. after hearing how great it was. When my dish came to the table — it was low grade fried carnival food that didn’t quite match what was described on the menu. My guests liked what they ordered but the place was freezing and it felt like we were eating in an ocean side meat locker. We had one of those tables that are not balanced so the tea splashes all over the place when you pour it. The host was very friendly which was the best thing about Yans.

For a Chinese bistro .Yan’s pulls through. The place is clean, well lit and the food is exactly what you order. Fresh chili’s in spicy dishes give heat fans a fix and the sweet dishes deliver as well. Tired of take out, hit up Yan’s

One you’ve been to Su-Chang’s in Peabody(and a very few other nice Chinese food places such as one in Bedford and one in Winchester, can’t think of the names), you see that it is possible to get light, fresh Asian food in a comfortable and attractive restaurant that might even offer a bit of ambiance. Maybe Yan’s is not aiming that high, I’m not sure. The place was clean but the food came out plate by plate(not all at once), the Mai-Tais we got were weak, and the dinner combo plates were a bit skimpy. We had to get frozen yogurt across the street because we were a bit hungry after we finished eating and paid the bill. Su-Chang’s would never squirt red sauce on tiny deep-fried chicken fingers and call it «Sweet and Sour Chicken». So, it was a step above the take out joints with a few plastic booths for indoor seating, that sell/deliver mall-quality food… but if you want a super meal, head to Su-Chang’s…

Yan’s is our go-to dinner when no one wants to cook. The food is reliably delicious, and the service is super friendly. Plus, the chow fun is exactly the way my 91 year old Chinese grandfather likes it(and really, who’s going to argue with a 91 year old grandfather? :)

I’m not a foodie. No part of me is interested in cultivating a discerning palate. I like tasty food and I want to stay innocent and satisfied with what’s available to me. I don’t give a fuck if the Thai/Vietnamese/Chinese food is better in Virginia; I live in Lynn. So, since I’m not a picky git, I love Yan’s quite a bit. It’s Chinese food. When I eat it, I feel fat and happy. It’s not a spiritual experience and my white Catholic ass hasn’t a bloody clue if any of it is «authentic» or some shit. It goes in my mouth and is tasty without being bland, too salty or greasy enough to clarify drywall. What earns it a fifth star is the online ordering. I check a bunch of boxes, hit send, and 30 minutes later get a warm paper bag full of exactly what I ordered. This is the true meaning of freedom. I don’t have to talk to anyone to get 300% of my calories for the day.
