Shane’s Rib Shack

I work around the corner, and I always happen to crave Shane’s during my break, it’s that good if you’re a big fan of BBQ. My favorite park is how nice the costumer service is every time I go in. It is also very fast, and I love how I get points for eating there.

Barely a 3 star review. Too bad when places like this go so cooperate. I think it used to be better. Not great, but better. The gal behind the counter is sweet, so that got an extra half a star. The green beans tasted and looked like they were out of a Sysco can. My chicken was cubed and dry. Texas toast… Meh! Side salad was tired with old cucumbers and a little bottled dressing. Where’s the love Shane?
I feel like an old curmudgeon. I review these restaurants and see the cooperate influence and it doesn’t make me happy. It’s all about the dollar and everything else suffers. Just my opinion but bring the love back to the food. Spend a little more on fresh ingredients and this place wouldn’t be so empty.

Really good BBQ and really friendly service. They have daily lunch specials that are priced just right. Service is quick, restaurant is clean, location is easily accessible. Try the buff q sauce or the Shack potato, it won’t disappoint.

Good food, good bbq, $$$/​4 pricewise. For fast food type of bbq it’s pretty good, not necessarily outstanding but when we have a hankering for barbecue we usually come here because of proximity and because of the price point

Shane’s changed management recently about a month ago. The other day was our second visit and my husband wanted me to Unilocal to let the manager and customers know that while the food is still okay, we are paying out more and receiving ¹⁄₃ less food in quantity. With the old Shane’s we always had enough food to share one sampler plate between us and rare occasion order two of the plates for lunch but last visit there were barely enough for one person let alone two to share. Shack Sampler Ribs did not taste as good seems that method of cooking has changed whereas the old Shane’s used the electric grill. It’s still a good place to go eat barbecue just expect to pay little more. Shane’s does have weekend specials but still cost is higher.

My family and I frequent this restaurant and have enjoyed it immensely since it opened. The food is delicious, quick, and tastes like authentic barbecue. The price is steep once you add a side and a drink, but overall the food is delicious.
The 2-​star review I gave the restaurant stems directly from the poor customer service we receive each time we come here. The staff has mostly young people on it (high school students) who do not seem have a good idea of what excellent customer service is. They text on their phones, talk to one another, and act disinterested when I speak to them. The only required part of their uniform is the Shane’s t-​shirt, so they are at liberty to wear whatever bottoms they like. Usually, the girls wear short jean shorts that are tattered and torn, fringing at the edges and showing off too much of their butts. This is extremely distracting and unprofessional.
The poor customer service doesn’t end there. One employee in particular, a middle-​aged woman with red/​purple hair, is the best example of what not to do in a service environment. Today, my mom and I went in for lunch and her behavior was horrible. She insulted a customer she had spoken on the phone with IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. She speaks very loudly and disrupts conversations that guests are trying to have while they are eating. She flirts with the male customers. She is too friendly, if that is even possible. I know she means well, but it is so over-​the-​top that it comes off as rude. She also does not listen and talks over the customer. I don’t need to go on. She has been a nuisance the last three times we visited this location, and soon, management will have to intervene.

Came here for the first time last night and the sides were good but the actual pulled pork was nothing short of awful. And let’s not get started on the nasty «barbecue» sauces. Will most definitely NOT be returning. If you want good pulled pork better save your money and go to dickeys instead!

Terrible meal last night. They advertised a family meal for $ 25 which included ribs. When we got there they said no ribs-​pulled pork instead. The food was served cold and greasy. Waitress was more interested in texting on her phone vs taking care of customers

Time to scratch Shames off the lunch list. $ 13.00 for pork plate and drink. It’s not that good.

Shanes Rib Shack has excellent food. It is always consistent and flavorful. Some people may have had a bad experience, but that’s going to happen in any restaurant. Some people are just hard to please and they write reviews that they have no clue about food. Shanes Rib Shack is one of the best BBQ. Restaurants in the area. It has a friendly atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and courteous. The food comes out hot and quick. Great food for the money.

This isn’t BBQ at all! I got the «Big Dad» pulled pork sandwich expecting to get smoked pulled pork. What I got was what tasted like boiled pork. It was wet and it had no sauce on it. It just grossed me out. I couldn’t even take more than a couple of bites.

Have family visiting from Pennsylvania and brought home Shane’s pulled pork for dinner. The pork was moist and tender with a nice smokey flavor. It disappeared quickly.
Shane’s may be a «chain» BBQ joint but it serves up lip smacking good pulled pork and tasty sides. Their Q-​sauce is robust and tangy. We will be back for sure.

Wow, why is this place not packed? The food is absolutely delicious and they pack it so well. I only had this food about 8 times now and the food has been delicious consistently. Not only is their Barbecue is good but even their hamburgers are delicious. I don’t work for them and I don’t own the place. I am a real customer that is now hooked on Shane’s Rib Shack. The manager and the staff are always friendly and this food is about as close to down home food in this immediate area that you will find.

It’s better than Sonnys. It’s not as good as the home town place I grew up with. It’s good enough. It’s self serve. Sometimes it’s a little chaotic in food arrival.

It has been a while since my family visited this restaurant. It was as if they had just taken some meat and painted on color. I just don’t understand how people feel that they can cook food without seasonings. Food should be edible and enjoyable. If I can make phenomenal ribs at home, you Shane, should be able to do at least mediocre with a commercial kitchen and full staff. Come on! Party of four and no one enjoyed their meal. This place is forever on our «delete» list.

They scored an 85 B but I was pretty sure it was dumb stuff so I ate there anyway! I got food poisoning for the first time in my life and it was violent and horrible. We ate there on Monday, my husband felt terrible after eating there but we’d ordered two different things (he ordered burger I ordered BBQ pork plate) and Tuesday I was violently ill. I will never darken the door of a SRS again. The though of it turns my stomach right now :((

Very quick and tasty! Saw this rib joint in a shopping center, never heard of it, so I decided to try it out.
First thing I noticed was how clean the inside was. For a rib joint, that’s difficult to achieve, but it was also a slow day. Ordered at the front and picked out my seat. Good variety of soft drinks and tea. My food came out very quickly. As I ate I noticed the non-​stop cleaning of 2 separate employees. Again it was a slow day, but kudos.
The ribs fell off the bone, was the appropriate temperature for eating, and the sauce is not bad. Was hoping for a bit more spice, but it was damn good. The mac and cheese was awesome, fries were fresh, and the toast was ok.
Overall, the meal and service was great, but as far as prices go, its a bit steep. But thats to be expected for good ribs. I would definitely return, but only after payday.

My first time to shane’s ordered the shack sampler. I was pleasantly surprised. The pulled pork was great. Overall definitely worth a stop. Good food

I think at this point I’ve been to just about every Shane’s in a 50 mile radius! I love barbecue, I especially love cheap, fast barbecue. This particular restaurant is my fav, the kids working here are so good. No texting, goofing off going on here, they all seem young but everyone looks busy (I’m here A LOT!). Always helpful, I try to get the best deal every time and they’ll toss around ideas and tell me about specials. The place is super clean and consistently good. Management appears pretty young, too, but again, professional and helpful.
