Wow I went to this place, it’s disgusting how racist this place is, ITS STUPID when we all bleed the same color and sad, horrible time getting a oil change bad service, HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND! TRUST ME

As a woman, I want to find a car service place that is honest and doesn’t try to upsale. Unfortunately this was not the place. I went in for an oil change, and came out paying $ 250+ when they told me I needed to have my transmission flushed and back differential fluid changed. They said I had metal in my transmission fluid so it was pretty urgent. Come to find out, it wasn’t that urgent, I didn’t have anything out of the ordinary and while it’s good for the car, it could have waited. I just want a place that is honest and doesn’t see me walk in and think «woman = $$». Is that to much to ask? :(.

Guys here are very friendly. Fairly priced, honest, and solid work performed. Thank you DC Auto!

These guys sent out a coupon over the weekend, so naturally, my family took advantage of it ($ 10 off emissions testing = win, plus other deals). Being that we have three cars, the costs can really add up. I, like the other reviewer, always freak out when I have to take the cars in for a lil’ fixing. The last time I had to take in the Lexus, it turned into an uncomfortably sticky fiasco, which ended with us probably never going back to that facility. And, there’s all those horror stories where these mechanics try to gip you, especially if you look like me: petite girl who looks like she’s barely in high school. Lol Oh, and did I mention that I’m not the sharpest knife when it comes to cars? Too bad I’m not Mona Lisa Vito… Anyway — I digress.
The location is good (as in, easy to find, easy to enter/​exit, spacious with enough parking spots), and the people are very courteous and don’t seem shady haha… I arrived around 11:30 on a Monday and requested an emissions check (something my mom told me would only take 10 minutes because she had came by earlier that morning with one of our other cars), and was informed it would take 45 minutes. As I watched the clock tick by and flipped through the wide array of magazines in the clean waiting room, I was told after an hour and 15 minutes that they just started on my car. Oh man. I left around 1. Yes, the estimated time was way off, but as I was about to leave, a gentleman (probably the owner?) came out and personally apologized about the wait, explaining that due to the coupons, they’ve experienced an unexpected upsurge in customers. Apparently, about 60 people came in over the weekend just for the coupon services. Impressive. Anyhow, I assured the man that I understood and that I would keep them in mind for future services (which I think would make sense since this place is like 3 minutes from our house). I appreciated the apology and so, I won’t freak out too much about the insane wait. Also, I appreciated that they didn’t try to sell me other things. Anyway, like I said, my mom came super early in the morning and was done in 10 minutes, which means that if it’s not incredibly busy, then they are efficient and effective.

ask for hank, he knows his stuff, awesome, I knew what the issue was and they hit it right on… coming back to them again. Good job hank.

Under most circumstances walking into an auto repair place gives me a panicky feeling. I am generally pretty sure they’re going to slap me with a huge bill that will certainly cut into my vacation fund and I’ll never really be sure if I’m actually paying for what needs to be done or just being taken for another ride because they’re sufficiently scaring me into thinking my axle is going to crumble while I’m flying down 85 toward midtown.
Oddly enough I don’t feel like that at DC Auto. So 1 of 2 things is happening here — 1) the two gentlemen I’ve dealt with are really THAT genuine and trustworthy or b) they’re that good at selling me on the idea of them being that genuine. I do know this — I didn’t walk out with a repair bill that completely depleted my vacation fund, nor did I receive a list of things I needed to fix by Friday to avoid killing myself on the highway. Whew!
I have to trust my gut on these things and I feel pretty confident that the guys at DC Auto are taking good care of me. I’ll be going back for some regular maintenance items (brakes, shocks, etc) and will update my review at that time if I feel differently. But for now I’m pleased. Very pleased.
