Specialties
Small and family owned, Ciccone Vineyard and Winery is able to provide Estate wines and personal attention to customers. Ciccone is known for their reds in the Northern Michigan region and produce Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Ciccone’s signature red – Dolcetto, and other hearty blends. Whites include Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio and Gewürztraminer as well as other grapes grown for unique, aromatic and fruity blends.
Behind the tasting room is the vineyard’s historic and renovated barn. The surrounding scenic views of the hills, vines, and West Grand Traverse Bay make the barn a popular venue for both local and destination events. Getting married by the 150 year-old maple tree and having a reception in the barn is a favorite venue rental for guests. For winter events, the tasting room can be rented by the hour.
History
Established in 1995.
When you enter the Ciccone Vineyard tasting room, you can’t help but feel right at home with it’s rough-cut beams, fireplace and old-world charm. Inspired by their rich Italian history, the Ciccone’s planted the vineyard in 1996 by hand. Fruit-forward European style wines are the result of this labor, and 14 varieties are offered in their rustic tasting room which is situated on the 45th parallel and on top of one of the best vantage points in Leelanau County.
