Paradise Doggie Daycare

We have been taking our Hank to Paradise for a couple of years now. I cannot express what a relief it is to have a safe, clean, capable and LOVING place to take our Great Dane for play time or boarding. Quality of care — AWESOME. Prices — AWESOME. An exhausted, played out dog that will sleep through the night — PRICELESS. Our dog is a bit of a handful and I’m a worrisome hovering pet-​mommy but we are never greeted with anything less than complete joy at our return. We love Tine and the entire crew at Paradise Doggie Daycare!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would buy my own pack of stickers and give 52 936 286 395 + stars! What an amazing place! My little pup becomes excited as we walk up to the front door. The staff is amazing and you can tell they love their clientele. It is all about your fur kids. For my situation, I initially brought her to be socialized and to be comfortable around a variety of dogs. I got much more! She is so confident and loves to be around EVERYONE. She wants to play and romp with her friends. I had the opportunity to see her in the play area and what a treat to see her running around with a huge smile on her face.
The staff will make sure that your dog is in the appropriate area according to size and personality. They also rescue coon hounds! They are adooooorable!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND paradise doggie daycare. You and your canine family member will love it! We sure do!

We left our little ruby here while we went on vacation. We were a little nervous leaving our doggie somewhere because we have never left her longer Than a day, but we heard and read very good reviews about this place so we went ahead. I have to say this place was awesome lots of dogs and room to play in and all the employees are very friendly and really seem to love and really care about dogs which is awesome. My ruby is super hyper and is not trained as well as I would like but after spending time there she seems way better around other dogs and people not jumping up or pulling on leash etc. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a safe and fun place to leave their dogs. And also there prices are very reasonable 35 $ a day overnight included!

Paradise DD is very clean and well run. In addition to their paying clients they also do hound rescue. Dogs are grouped by compatibility. THIS will help your dog as hounds are genetically bred to be social to other dogs, and rescue hounds have almost always lived in packs. The hounds at Paradise DD have been screened before meeting client dogs both for health and sociability.
So…if your dog tends to be a bit fearful around other dogs, this will absolutely help them. Ask your vet and ask your trainer.

I’ve taken my dog Gunner here a few times to play. The owners and staff are very professional and polite. The owners run a hound rescue too, which means they truly care about dogs. I toured their new facility and it is clean and the dogs are separated appropriately. Also, their price on antlers can’t be beat.

They are now at their new location, near the corner of Ridge and Prospect, but it’s the same great service as always, and now they have overnight stays available too!

THANK YOU to everyone for taking great care of Bingo while we were in town over the holidays. He got to play all day with his hound dog friends and was pooped out when we got to our hotel. I am glad we found you and decided to give it a try.
Everyone was real nice to me and you treated my dog super special. I guess you love hounds and have a whole lot of them! We will be back again next time we travel.

My Bubba loves it there! It’s a perfect place to drop your dog off to burn some energy and socialize, while you run errands. Great idea for our area! And they have a self service dog wash!

Paradise has been a godsend for me and my greyhound, Hannah Ahrendt. (She is VERY smart!) In the past I have always had a large house, grounds and multiple dogs. When Hannah and I moved into our current über-​cool and ultra sophisticated pied a terre in Amador City, she no longer had access to space and other dogs. Fortunately, Paradise came along at about that time and after almost 2 years (at least 2 full days a week) Hannah is a much more happy and socialized dog than she has ever been. She plays well with others and has even been known to color within the lines when encouraged. She is beside herself with anticipation when we arrive at Paradise at 6:30 am (even though they do not officially open until 7!) and she is happy to see me when I pick her up at 5:30. She DOES always fall asleep in the car home, however! Her complete exhaustion and obvious happiness are the greatest reward I could receive. She has even made a BFF, a sweet Black and Tan Coonhound named Alice. Thank you, Tine and John Kellogg, for providing our community with this valuable resource that I did not even understand we needed until I started using it.
