Ingrid Fraser – Cakes

Had her cake for my bridal shower. Delicious and beautiful and full of chocolatey goodness!

Ingrid made our cake for our May wedding at Amador Cellars. We met with her a few months before to do a cake tasting and she brought the most amazing spread of cakes and fillings. We were in heaven and had the hardest time choosing between all the flavors. We ended up going with a lemon cake with lemon curd and raspberry filling and a chocolate cake with a hazelnut filling. I am drooling right now just thinking about them. I brought her a picture I had found of a chevron cake that fit with our overall theme and showed her the cake topper we had. Come the wedding day the cake was exactly what I had imagined and the topper looked perfect on it!

Ingrid did my wedding cake a few years ago, and it was the best cake I have EVER had! It was just sweet enough, if there one thing I can’t stand it’s super sweet cake that you can’t even eat a whole piece of. Anyways, absolutely fantastic, tasty and beautiful cakes!

Ingrid did my wedding cake this weekend 4÷3÷14 and it was absolutely GORGEOUS! We has the almond cake with vanilla bean filling and it was DELICIOUS, the buttercream she makes is to die for! Ingrid surpassed our expectations by far we got so many compliments on how beautiful and delicious it was! Thank you Ingrid we look forward to more of your delicious cakes :)

Ten of us from South Lake Tahoe were in Sutter Creek earlier this month for the Party Pardee Ride and to celebrate one of our friend’s «50^th» b-​day. We wanted to surprise her with a dinner party, complete with her favorite cake, but no one wanted the responsibility of transporting a cake. After much research, I discovered Ingrid. Not only did she make the requested cake, she delivered it to the restaurant. It was gorgeous, delicious and everyone left happy. Our only regret… we should have ordered 2 cakes! It was that ridiculously good!

Ingrid Fraser made a 3 layered cake for me and it was unbelievably delicious. I am typically more of an ice cream kinda gal than a cake one, however Ingrid’s cakes are so moist, creamy, and full of so many levels of flavor. She even went above and beyond and met me at the local Starbucks in my town which is like 50 mins from where she is located with a plate full of different flavors of cake. Buying this kind of a cake before finding Ingrid was one of the worst experiences I had until finding her. She delivered and set up the cake which is hard to find these days. We had so many compliments at the party about how fabulous the cake was.

I was considering nixing the cake all together, since our wedding was up in the middle of nowhere (HideOut near Kirkwood), I am lactose intolerant and I had my heart set on a candy bar. But, my mother intervened and laid down the law… the cake was a ‘must have’. We tasted at a place in South Lake Tahoe and we were very disappointed in the quality (who serves dry cake at a tasting?). So, I searched around Jackson and found Ingrid. She was willing to try to make a dairy-​free cake for me, so we met up with her one weekend just before Thanksgiving. I took the samples back to my friends and family and they gave rave reviews. No one could decide… carrot cake? chocolate raspberry? We settled on two — a dairy-​free Grand Marnier/​almond cake and a dairy-​filled chocolate cake.
Ingrid did a fantastic job. The cakes were beautiful (green frosting with yellow and gold flowers siting on a brown tree branch), super moist and delicious. It turned out there were actually several lactose intolerant guests, who were excited to find out they could eat cake at a wedding!

What I keep forgetting is that you don’t have to be planning a wedding to enjoy an Ingrid Fraser cake. This week I ordered a 9″ carrot layer cake to celebrate the birthday of my boss. No one at the office had ever had on of Ingrid’s cakes before and they were simply blown away by the taste and the beauty. The recipient insisted on photographing the cake before she cut it. Beautifully and tastefully enhanced by fresh flowers. I ordered only 2 days in advance and Ingrid graciously accommodated my rather last minute order.

As you can see from all the satisfied customers, this is the go to person for wedding cakes in Amador County and we are blessed to have her here. I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy her cakes a number of times and they can’t be beat, at least not around here.

My sister’s wedding cake was so delicious there was not one piece left when the night was over. She found a picture in a magazine of what she wanted, and Ingrid was able to replicate it beautifully.

Ingrid did my wedding cake and it was amazing! It was absolutely beautiful and incredibly delicious. She is very easy to work with and has amazing ideas and designs. We should have ordered twice as much cake, people were scraping their plates and wanted second helpings :)

Ingrid does an amazingly beautiful work. Her cakes are equally appealing to look at as they are delicious. I have enjoyed her desserts for years, so when the time came I just had to have her make my wedding cake. Most importantly of all, she took the time to really listen to me. I marked it as pricey as it necessary with the level of quality, however I do believe I received a more than fair price.

We could not have been happier with our wedding cake. Ingrid totally rocked it. Not only was it awesome looking, but it was also delicious, double score.

I’m a self-​confessed Martha Stewart fan, who is a stickler for attention to detail. I also have made a wedding cake, and some other fabulous cakes, so when I wanted to have someone make my wedding cake, there was an awful lot of whining. I found that many places that charged a month’s rent for a cake had bad decorating skills and substandard-​tasting cake. Then entered Inga Fraser, into my life! Her cakes, even on close inspection, look just like the ones in all the books and magazines. And the taste? Spectacular… even the peice I had on our first anniversary was still, shockingly, heavenly tasting.
