From the extremely helpful instruction video for newbies to the RV scene to their 24 hours availability during the rental period to their friendly real-​person reservations and first hand knowledge of their own fleet… fantastic. Far superior to the larger companies with multiple locations where you talk to an operator who knows very little about the actual vehicle or experience. Sure, it’s not *close* to NYC, but the drive out is pretty and we were very satisfied with our 31′ «house truck» (as per my 3 year old). Thanks, guys!

This was the first time we rented an RV for a vacation. Working with the team from 84 RV rentals was a pleasure and they seemed to truly appreciate the business. The RV itself was very clean and comfortable, drove well (it is not a cat remember) and everything performed as promised. We took a trip to Hershey Park and the includes miles were more than enough to cover the trip. Pricing seemed reasonable, especially for the experience. It is a little out of the way, but worth the trip.

Positives of our week-​long rental: The staff at Rayewood 84 RV Rentals was exceptionally helpful in the planning of our RV trip. Their 32′ Forester Sunseeker is a great RV with plenty of space for our family of 6; parents, grandparents and two kids. The RV was clean, gently used, low mileage and drove well. Their base pricing for the RV was fair. Emptying of waste tanks and propane is included in your rental. The return of our deposit was prompt. I am pleased that we rented from them.
Fun detractors: The first thing I need to point out for out-​of-​state visitors, this part of Sussex, NJ is very remote and rural. It took us two hours each way to travel the 61 miles Newark, NJ Airport via a State Shuttle. This resulted in fees of $ 150 each way. The other result of the remote rural location was that it took us 2 hours on rural roads to get away from Sussex to an interstate to start our journey to Philadelphia and Washington DC. The biggest inconvenience of this is trying to get back to them by 10am on the return day. To their credit they did not charge us for being 45 minutes late. The second detractor from our vacation was the kitchen kit being a separate item to purchase and unpack. We have previous rented privately owned RV’s from a broker and all the bells and whistles of the kitchen were included. Since we were coming in from out-​of-​state we chose to purchase the kitchen kit to fill the void that others fill for free. Unfortunately, we had to do all the unpacking of multiple boxes as an additional chore on our journey and we then found a large number of the dishes were damaged beyond use. The third detractor was just a roll of the dice on the mechanics of an RV. The generator tested out fine on the departure inspection but failed to work at the one RV site of our schedule that didn’t have hookups. This was a brutal hit to morale on a hot August day at a site where the air was thick with mosquitoes and some of the biting bugs were small enough to make it through the screens. With all the planning and expense that goes into a vacation we all hope for perfection. No vacation is perfect. This RV rental company does a good job with nice RV’s. If you live close to them, and can use your own kitchen-​wares and linens, you will most likely have a wonderful experience at a fair price. Give them a try.
