Great food! Little to slow on getting food out to customers. But I was very satisfied with service. This was our first visit. We are on vacation.

Golden wings were awesome, dollar PBRs, and good burgers. Our server, Kaylee, checked on us often, and made sure our glasses were always full. Price was very reasonable, and we left quite satisfied. Will need to visit once more, before we head home.

The name is catchy, but the menu is limited. We came at 1pm on Labor day and the place wasn’t overly busy.

The first thing that hits you is the tens of thousands of customized dollar bills hanging from every flat surface(and then some) in the place. Cool«décor»! Good hamburgers(get the chili on them), and wings are possibly some of the best in the area! Drinks? Specialty is $ 1 PBRs… all the time, and $ 5 pitchers, again, all the time! Don’t forget to grab an ice cream sandwich or Nutty Buddy on the way out. They have a «good Humor» cooler and all ice cream treats are $ 1.00 !!!

We’ve eaten here several times! My kids love coloring their dollar bills and hanging the on the wall. The food is a through back to the hamburgers a yesteryear’s past, though the décor is not. They are not gourmet, but don’t claim to be. The prices are phenomenal for the beach. Entire family if 4 ate for around $ 30…that is a plus for me. How does this place only average 3 stars with these prices? If I expected gourmet burgers, I’d expect $ 20 per person, not $ 30 for a family.

This was my second visit to Hamburger Joes and I must say the value here is unreal! You can feed a family of 4 for under $ 30 dollars and even treat yourself to a beer! Menu: The success of the restaurant and low prices stem from a very simple menu setup which include of course hamburgers and hot dogs but there’s also plenty of other choices like grilled cheese, chicken sandwiches and even a BBQ plate. There’s salad but I’m not sure why anyone would order it with all the classic backyard cookout items available. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – MUSTHAVE: GOLDWINGS!(ordered extra crispy) These guys have such flavor in this sweet and spicy sauce and you get 10 wings for like 8 bucks which is more than enough for a meal in itself! Runner Up: Hot Dog(all the way). You get a hot dog with chili, onions, and slaw. These are delicious and the chili is now overpowering in any way with just enough flavor. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Another plus of Joes is the inexpensive beer and drinks available. There is $ 1.00PBR on draft and we also had a Captain & Coke for $ 3.50! You can’t beat the prices here. Bottom line Joe’s gets 4 stars for value and those wings and chili dogs! The hamburger itself is no better or worse than something you can cook out on the bbq. This is going to be a regular stop every year I visit Myrtle Beach!

Had lunch here. Wanted something quick and simple. Food was good, nothing fancy. Server was ok. Did notice she took a few shots of tequila that a customer bought. Didn’t think that was appropriate for a server to do while working.

I really liked the atmosphere of this place and it could be that we ate here on an off night. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and an order of the gold wings. Both were good but not great. The food was a tad cold because our waitress was very busy. She was very nice but swamped. I would still recommend this place for a quick burger but know it is a hit or miss place.

Worst service I’ve experienced in ages. No refills, sat for an hour waiting for service to get overcooked burger and fries. AVOID

Quick in and out burger joint. Cheap and very good. $ 1PBR, awesome! The wings are great, I had the Joes Gold Wings, they were a sweet heat. Blue cheese was great. Wife’s burger was decent. What the hell do you expect for 4 bucks. All the staff were friendly and attentive. This is a great place to take kids!!!

We came to Joe’s at a friend’s recommendation and we were not disappointed! We were a large party of kids and adults. Ordered mostly burgers and wings. The wings were amazing… my husband raved about the grilled chicken sandwich and the burgers were tasty and done to perfection. The service was amazing thanks to Veronica. Definitely recommend for a place to get great food and beer at a very reasonable price.

This is a nice, inexpensive place to go for a burger and a side or two. My husband and I went there recently. The burgers were plain and could have been better quality beef, that said the waitress was friendly and helpful, and this has a very playful décor. The burger is about 5 oz. of beef after being cooked and it was served on a bun. When my husband inquired about the steak burger, the waitress displayed a larger circumference burger, however it does not come with a bun.(?) Odd, I thought. I believe it is the same quality meat as no other information was offered to us. I inquired if they could make a double burger for my husband, and the waitress was very obliging. The food was average good. However THEONIONRINGSWEREOUTOFTHISWORLD. Do no miss their onion rings or you may not forgive yourself for the rest of your life. The french fries were ok, crispy on the outside, soft inside with the right amount of salt. I tasted the cole slaw, which had a unique flavor I was not accustomed to. I tasted it and then went back to it at the end. I figured out what kind of dressing they use and it must be mustard. Forgive me, but I equate mustard with hot dogs, pastrami and the like, but I can’t recall ever having it in my cole slaw. It was absolutely delicious and I’m glad I went back to it. I had just felt like I ate something with blindfolds on and needed to register what it was in my brain. The décor i$, dollar$! They are stapled all over the walls and ceilings. Some were plain dollars, some had signatures, some were colored over, folded into a jet and some appeared to be tampered with, as they wanted the dollar for themselves. Anyway, the prices were low and this is a great place to go after the beach, shopping, meeting a friend or whatever. I almost forgot to say, our waitress kept out glasses full up to the end of our meal. Nice inexpensive meal, friendly servers, but we didn’t meet Joe.

If anyone has a complaint about hamburger joe’s they are the problem. If you have one taste of the delicious $ 4 burger you will not have any complaints! 3rd time going there and it is the best place ever!!!

We’ve been hearing about how much we needed to go check out Hamburger Joes. Mostly we heard they were pretty cheap for beach, and had great burgers. Today was the day that we stopped in to try. There are two locations, we hit the Surfside location, which I guess is the second. The original is in North Myrtle Beach. This was a lunch date with the wife and I and we both got a cheeseburger, and split an order of fries. I have to say the burger was pretty good, not the best burger I have ever ate by any means, but it was good. We decided that we would be back, to try the BBQ because it really smelled good. The prices, for the beach were pretty inexpensive, and reasonable, but you have to remember that it’s all, ala carte, so a cheese burger, fries and a drink is going to run you under $ 8 without a tip, which is still pretty good all things considered. I’ve already said that I’m going to be going back, but would I drive say 50 miles for it. No, I probably wouldn’t, but if I was going to be in town for a couple days, I’m sure I would stop by for lunch. If you haven’t been, try it. It’s a great place to take the family for a good, cheap meal while at the beach, plus they have cheap beer.

Third visit in 2 weeks– why? I loved it. Décor needs to lose the dollar bills and not try to look like key west or biker bar, would be much cleaner looking-those dollar bills are dirty and look it. Food was good, prices are great. The buns need to be grilled or steamed-ours were just cold buns out of the package. Crinkle cut fries-A#1! Wings a 4 of 5. But tonight I suppose the twenty somethings in charge decided to close @ 8pm(no hours posted) And refused 6 customers, treated the last 6 who had arrived @ 7:54 like dirt. Ruined the whole I love Hamburger Joes experience. Would have stayed longer and spent more money myself, but after the rudeness of the employees we decided to leave and probably will not return. Sorry, but if you own a restaurant, you do not turn away business, especially during the slow months.

Rolling my eyes at a couple of the reviews here. Yes, shocker… a popular burger joint at the beach can indeed get a little busy! Could it be the good food and reasonable prices? How about the cool atmosphere? Perhaps it’s the friendly staff? What the hell is wrong with everyone and why exactly is this place so busy?! Look, here’s all you need to know. I’ve never sent anyone there who didn’t go back. If you’re looking for 5 star dining, this one isn’t for you. If you want a quick burger and a beer in a clean, fun restaurant, go and have fun! By the way. I usually have a cheeseburger and the onion rings, but also enjoy the hot dogs and fries. –Neil

Nice place to have a beer and a burger, nothing fancy and the burgers do taste good. They are hand prepped and delivered how you want them. The only draw back may be we Americans demand large portions and these burgers are not large, just a handful and plenty for me, but I am sure many would argue the burgers are to small and they should offer different weights. The original Hamburger Joes is still my favorite place to get a no nonsense burger and beer. Dress is very casual and like I said, a nice break from mass produced factory burgers. They taste fresh and the chili slaw burger a must have for everyone, great fries too.
