i will never bring my car back to suquamish auto repair. they fix things that are not broken. i am so dumb for paying them.

When my car died in spectacular fashion outside their shop in the rain, I was grateful for their willingness to help me immediately. The problem started when they quoted $ 3700 to fix the car. Not just the bit which was suspected to be broken, but pretty much the whole cooling system and a whole lot of stuff which was supposed to be on the way out as well. We had the car towed to our usual mechanic who replaced one part and got the car back on the road for $ 220.00. He found a couple of other parts which are getting old and will need fixing soon, but not immediately. But several major parts they said were beyond repair he couldn’t find *anything wrong* with. I’m afraid that I won’t be returning to Suquamish Auto.

We have been taking our cars here for 15 years now. There was an ownership change a couple of years back. The owner of Quality Automotive in downtown Winslow now also owns this shop. I have noticed the prices up a bit but still good service. The new owner is challenged to find good solid mechanics, he does seem to have a nose for quality people and is picky, which is good. The down side is that it takes longer to get your car in and it seems it takes a bit longer to get the work completed. The new owner is very very hands on. Sometimes I see him in the shop past 7pm working away by himself. The place has a good reputation so he is busy busy. Fred, who runs the front office is fantastic, a really nice guy, and well organized. Fred keeps the wheels rolling through the shop and is great with customers. This shop is good for MB’s, Fords, Honda’s, and VW’s. We had a really strange issue with our MB ML350 and the owner has a background with MB, it took a couple days but he found the issue.
