Made use of my -$ 5 monthly coupon and enjoyed a decent buffet for only $ 7.25! I like the stir fry bar. Nice wait staff and on this particular visit we had a very nice cashier who seated us promptly.

It really was so gross. I’m pregnant too and felt awful that I did that to my baby…

Coming from BI, this is the closest casino & buffet. My friends and I had great expectations with the recent buffet remodel this Spring; what a disappointment when it reopened. Who designed the new buffet, they seem incompetent? Dishes are virtually hidden out of sight, the salad area doesn’t have any dish storage at all. If you enjoy sterile white subway tile, this is your place with the new remodel.(Maybe the new food area supposed to look like a public bathroom?) Enough about the décor, lets get down to the food. Despite attempts to diversity with a Mongolian Grill, and custom omelet station(at dinner?), the selection remains limited. Imagine a salad bar where 1⁄3 of the serving bowls are clean/empty/unused. Hey, chop up some celery, maybe some parsley, or pickles; just fill it up! Perpetually empty serving bowls look bad. Even at 6:00PM, many of the food items were dried out and suffering from«steam table fatigue.» They looked and tasted like they had been cooked 12 hours earlier. This has been a problem during three dinner visits in the past month. The one exception were the prime rib, and sausage; both were decent(Saturday nights). The former Friday Seafood Extravaganza is now gone, at least for the summer. Perhaps management should visit the Asian buffet in Silverdale for some simple ideas & recipes, they do a better job. After striking out three times since the remodel, we will be taking our gaming and dining elsewhere, but I wish the tribe well. They certainly seem to be trying, with all the money they are spending on the expansion & remodel.

Went to the new buffet at Clearwater Casino today. There were a few good things that were an improvement overall, but as far as the food goes… well it leaves a lot to be desired! Some of the improvements are it is cleaner and the stations have clear definitions and the sneeze guards keep yuck out of the foods. There is a separate dessert area and no chocolate fountain, yay! However the ice cream machine is there and no cones or toppings or sprinkles that I could find. The bowls were difficult to locate at first… they are stored in cubbies under and opposite of the hot trays. This took me a while to figure out, but now I know this and you do too! They added a Mongolian grill which is nice and is a definite improvement but they didn’t have a tip jar and there was a wad of bills just laying on the countertop which is a bit tacky and unsanitary… I noticed this at the carving station also. They have an omelet bar also if you want breakfast food for dinner, I’m not a fan of this though. Now for the minuses… the food quality still suffers. The beef at the carving station was unseasoned and tasteless and full of fat. I hate the waste. Mashed potatoes were bland and very lumpy and dry. The gravy tasted as though it came right from a can. The fried shrimp were good. I had a salad that was iceberg from a bag or spinach… with the usual accompaniments. It would raise the level to have a nice spring mix available. The salads were the usuals and didn’t look all that appealing. The Mongolian grill was nice and tasty but the meat was just loaded with fat and I couldn’t even eat it. I tried to eat the sweet and sour chicken and it had So much red chili peppers it was way too spicy and I couldn’t eat it, I wasn’t expecting to have my mouth burning on sweet and sour! Overall it was okay, but nothing I would go out of my way to go to. The décor is modern and a lot of white tile and walls separating the eating area from the food area, but I miss the view as the windows are a façade with lighting behind them.
