Horrible customer service. I would stay away from this place. Plus they don’t do that great of a job… major let down.

I have been going to Milk & Honey for over six years. My stylist always gets my color PERFECTLY. I have never had a bad experience and would recommend this salon to absolutely everyone.

Love Love Love Milk and Honey Salon! The staff is so pleasant and welcoming, the salon is comfortable and cozy but the best is my stylist, Erin… ahhhmazing and definitely my new favorite «hair wizard»! I highly recommend her!

Scheduled an 8AM haircut appointment with Taylor. Yes, I said 8AM. Who else does haircuts that early? Taylor was warm, pleasant and an attentive listener. She asked my goals, offered suggestions and was able to offer different ones when I wasn’t brave enough to make the first changes she suggested. My hair FEELS and LOOKS so great: she cut the minimal amount since I’m trying to grow it but enough so that it would not feel limp. I do not want to be confined to a blow dryer and heat tools for hours. This cut looks great with minimal styling. The salon is pretty and has nice little touches (tea, snack) but also efficient. I have gone to this salon twice now and have had a really great experience each time! This past visit I went in without knowing what kind of haircut I really wanted and consulted Taylor to help me decide. Sometimes hair stylists get annoyed when you do that but Taylor was really excited and helpful. She helped me choose a style that works with my face shape and that even fit my personality more. She was genuinely thrilled that I was going to go for it and chop off about 4 – 5 inches just to try it out. I love what she came up with and I feel like I’m rocking it! She taught me how to style it to get the same salon effect that she created and I am happy to say that it was user friendly and I have executed the same style. Highly recommend Taylor! All the staff is nice and they helped me pick out a few great products :) Thanks!

One of my favorite places… Jess is an amazing manicurist. She takes her time and it just very pleasant to be around. Her massages on the hands are to die for!!! Feeling just ahhhhhh (South Lamar location)

I’m brand new to Austin Texas and thought I would give Salon Milk and Honey a try. The location is super convenient to Circle C they had plenty of parking. I was able to book an appointment on a Sunday which is a nice luxury considering it’s hard to make time during the week. I scheduled an appointment at 12 noon for a haircut and gloss treatment. The entire session took an hour and my stylist was awesome. She make me feel really comfortable and made sure I was happy with the service. The gloss treatment was amazing! The total cost of my service was $ 90 which I thought was very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

I have been going to the Milk and Honey Spa for several years when I really want to indulge in some self pampering. Note: get the wet and dry massage at the DT location. HEAVENLY! It’s a 45 min scrub down and then a massage to follow. Words can’t describe it– just do it.
About eight months ago (?) I switched hair salons to M&H, where I met Chase. He is the best friend that you didn’t know you had, who just so happens to be a fabulous hair stylist. I hardly color my hair but I decided to do a little something different this month. Chase brought out this beautiful color of brunette and caramel I didn’t know I could pull off! His technique was a little different too; I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair. His cuts are also FLAWLESS! You know when you tell your hairdresser «I just want a trim» and your hair looks a little off after? Yeah, that’s never happened with Chase. It’s more like «wow! My hair is still long but so voluminous and amazing!» When you ask him if he can wake up with you the next morning (because you want him to style your hair whilst sipping on coffee, duh) he’ll politely laugh but teach you exactly what he does and how to recreate it.
I used to time my haircuts a couple of weeks before anything important because I knew it would take two weeks for it to look like I wanted it. Now, with Chase, I actually schedule haircuts every six-​seven weeks because 1) I’ll miss him much longer than that and 2) he gives a fresh look without breaking the bank (like other salons in town.)
I’m also the type of client that says «I trust you. Do what you think will look good so long as you don’t get cray and cut six inches off.» And he just does his magic and it works. I really love Chase not because of the way he cuts my hair, but because the way he makes me feel even weeks after leaving the salon.
Chase also has amazing hours. Really. Example: A haircut on Friday at 8 am? That’s unheard of and a pretty awesome way to ROCK that Friday.
P. S. M&H also has an awesome points program where you earn dollars to future services. The points add up quicker than you think. It’s nice to be able to use it towards that coloring you don’t usually splurge on or to treat yourself to a little self pampering.

It was my first experience with Milk &honey ! I will never regret that I choose them! Kacie is amazing ! Unfortunately, my English isn’t perfect but Kacie understand my wishes without words :) she is professional ! With her U feel comfortable and the result will be awesome ! I will defiantly come back;) and recommend to everyone !

I haven’t really made time for my hair being a busy mother of 3, while working a full time job in a male dominant atmosphere; it’s pretty much been «pony tail and go» for some time lol! But that’s all changed thanks to Kacie. After a warm welcome I was checked in by a young lady at the front desk, shortly after greeted by Kacie… She was very tentative to my needs, at first I wasn’t the best at explaining what I wanted or needed because I’m sure I sounded very confusing considering I didn’t have much of an idea of what I wanted to begin with… besides needing it to be easy to style in the morning, and to be able to maintain it my self at home. Through the process she explained to me the different products she was using, and showed me how I could incorporate those products in my day to day regimen while getting ready for work. When it came to color, I have been to other high-​end salons and they have over processed my hair TONS of times because the stylist would not take the time to check my hair under the blower, and would allow my hair to fry… After telling Kacie my concerns of my hair easily being over processed and my past experiences she made sure to check my hair regularly under the dryer and wasted no time to make sure I was comfortable A+++ for sure. When it came down to the cut, she wasn’t for a minute scissor happy! She took the time and listened to my needs of the cut, so it would be functional for me. I don’t consider my self to be a hip person at all, and most of the time I feel old; but not after leaving milk & honey! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair, or people asking me where I got my hair done. Milk & Honey has gained a customer for life! Kacie was outstanding and I will be referring all my friends and family her way!!!

Mind blowing experience today! Went to get a hair cut and had the most relaxing, comforting, pleasant experience I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend coming here, as a man getting the total clean up was well worth it. I’ve seen Jenn and if you’re looking for a good cut I’d see her too!

Kacie is AMAZING!!! She has done my hair several times and every cut and color I have gotten has turn out fantastic. She is precise and really takes her time to perfect the look you want her to achieve. She is outgoing, sweet, knows what she is doing Outstanding results and experience! I will only be using her from now on!

Kacie is bomb dot com!!! I booked a last minute cut and color and she did an absolutely perfect job. The cut, color, explanation of product, and legitimate care for what I wanted was beyond fabulous and I could not be more pleased :)

Taylor at Milk and Honey S. Lamar is as sweet as she can be and does great color! I’m super picky about my color. Taylor takes the time to make you look and feel beautiful. It’s the true salon experience.

Ok so this was my first facial… EVER (and I love beauty shit) — but for some reason always though facials were a waste of money and all it was was rubbing lotion on your face but I was so wrong.
Jennifer was my Esthetician and did SUCH a good and thorough job. Talked me through what she was doing, extracted all of my blackheads (gross, but ya need to know), and told me a bit about her background and I was like «whoa, this chick is LEGIT.»
She was really awesome in general and didn’t make me feel like I had to act all «spa-​like» just because I was getting a facial. loved that.
The room itself is really warm and lavender scented, the bathrobe dress thing and sheet are SUPER soft and I dunno– the whole thing just felt super luxurious.
After my face looked a bit red (from the extracting) but SO DEWY.
I actually ended up buying all the products she recommended because she just made a solid case for them in a non-​pushy way. And I’m always the girl being like «not buying anything. too poor. BYE»
So that’s sayin’ something.

Great experience and fantastic results.
Plan to be there for 3 hrs for this service, though. All that care she takes, it takes time.
It is pricey, but worth it.

I LOVE this location! The staff are always sweet and on time. I started coming to this location because the parking situation downtown is way too unpredictable, and I am sold! I can get appointments much more easily and sooner, and the schedule is a bit more flexible should you need to make a change.
The nail tech is just the sweetest and Ann Martin does my hair, she’s just awesome!!!

Milk and Honey was an all around fantastic experience for me. After getting a gift certificate from my boyfriend I checked out their website and decided to schedule with Taylor.
I came in wanting low maintenance color and a long layered cut. Taylor is down to earth, friendly and very good at what she does. With her guidance I chose to try a coloring technique called balayage, which is a gradual transition from dark roots to light tips with natural looking blending highlights throughout.
I am absolutely thrilled with my results. My color is beautiful and natural looking and my cut left my hair feeling soft and manageable, even after bring lightened. I liked the natural smell to all of the products and the clean vibe in the salon. I was treated pleasantly and offered beverages multiple times while I was there. Taylor was a joy and I will definitely be back to have her do my hair again.

Got a signature facial treatment. Currently they don’t offer facials on weekend. I was excited about this location close to my home, but not being able to book on weekend is very inconvenient for working people.
My facial was great. I can say it was better than Viva Day Spa. I’ve been to Viva twice but got harder massages that pulled my skin so much and didn’t feel right. MH’s facial was gentle yet effective. I love their ultrasonic extraction for pore cleaning. It doesn’t hurt.
I would definitely go back if they offer weekend facials.

Tried to schedule a mani-​pedi at my regular downtown location this weekend, but was told the only store with availability was Lamar. I didn’t even know they had a location there! When I arrived, it was located in a chic little enclave on S. Lamar with St. Philip Pizza and Stouthous Coffee.
The pros:
–Lots of free, close parking
–Products include Kobo candles, Kevin Murphy, SpaRitual, and milk + honey (house brand)
–Complimentary mimosas
–Private nail area that is much better designed and appointed than the Arboretum location
The cons:
–The lady at the front desk was overly pretentious. I know they usually are at places like this, but this one was verging on rude
–This doesn’t apply to this location alone, but my total for a mani-​pedi (with a standard tip) is more than $ 100. The service is impeccable, but I just don’t think it feels lengthy or luxurious enough to merit being more than double the cost of my weekly place
–Massages (both hand and feet) are always seriously lacking
*Note that this location is labeled as «salon+nails+esthetics» so it does not have «spa» treatments like the Downtown and Galleria locations.
