Make sure you stop by for a Panthers game !
They’re at the top of their game right now and currently in 1^st place of their division.

Let me just start out by saying that the only positive aspect of this arena is that it’s fairly easy to get to and in a good location. I know a lot of people were complaining about the $ 20 parking, but the last time I was here I forgot to bring cash and the parking attendant let me park for free.
Now besides the couple of positives, there truly are a lot of improvements that need to happen at this place. I grew up in Detroit and even though the Joe Louis Arena is by no means «state of the art» it at least has a lot of updated options and pretty much every food and drink stand takes a credit card. At the BB&T center, however, this was not the case. Most drink stands only took cash and every ATM I tried to use in the facility was broken. How can you reasonably expect someone to bring $ 50+ cash with them to buy food and drinks, plus another $ 20 for parking? This is 2016, get with the program and start using a mobile credit card reader.
The prices of the food and drink were standard (over-​priced compared to buying food and drink at a restaurant) but they weren’t any higher than what I’ve seen elsewhere. With that being said, if you’re going to charge stadium prices for food and drink, make buying such things accessible to everyone. It only makes for a bad customer/​patron experience when people can’t buy what they want when they’re out for an evening. I highly doubt that this place can’t afford such «luxuries».
The stadium itself is alright, but they really need to bring everything up to par with the ways of the 21^st century patron. It would at least raise this place up to a four star rating in my book.

BB&T is a great venue for Hockey games or concerts. Located on the southwestern edge of Broward county, my only wish is for it to be closer to home. They do a great job handling event traffic to get you in/​out. I don’t particularly care for the $ 20 bucks they grab for parking but I understand the costs of maintaining the facility and paying staff.
They’ve changed their policies and no longer allow backpacks, large purses, etc inside so they had people in the parking lot with bull horns alerting people to leave those items in the car. Despite their efforts I still saw people that defied the warning and had to walk back to the car with their over sized bags…
Pretty efficient process for getting through the doors. Once inside you begin to feel the excitement of your event. Retail shops selling all your favorite team gear and clothing. Plenty of drink and food vendors to grab something before going to your seats. Typical event pricing, $ 12 for a mixed drink and $ 8 for a domestic beer. Ask before ordering because not all kiosks accept credit cards.
Seating is laid out pretty nicely with ample signs to direct you to the proper level and section. We were greeted by an usher and shown to our seats on row 11. We’ve also been for concerts and it’s equally enjoyable!

Decent concert venue, but quite far from MIA or FLL. The sound is fine here, but nothing to write home about. I have also seen hockey here as well, which is what the building is better suited for.

First off the people complaining about $ 20 to park really have never been to any other arena or park. That’s cheap. And if you think the parking is a struggle here try going to the other Florida hockey team stadium and it’s horrid parking.
With that being said for a stadium built in this century it truly needs to come to the modern day technically. They have these greet portable things for your phone called credit card scanners. Get them. Or maybe actually put up signs that over half the locations only take cash. Cause everyone carries that much on them for a $ 14 beer in a three hour game. Sorry a $ 4 charge is not something I’m willing to do in this day and age.
The stadium itself is nice. But for the love of good enough with the strobe lights. It’s a hockey game not a rock concert.

Great venue here! I’ve been to many Panthers games mainly and it is a well run arena, food abounds and drinks flow smoothly even with a large crowd between periods you served quick with a large staff of employees. Last time there I chatted with and found a great «bartender» if you will and by the second beer we were just tipping him in cash for draft refills, kudos to that man! I even sad faced my way to a free nacho cheese dip for a pretzel, they wanted $ 2 when the pretzel was already $ 7 so again thanks for helping a brotha out! All in all I do really like any event here (*maybe not a Bieber concert) Its an updated, clean, classy place to watch a game or enjoy a concert! Good job BB&T

Purchased tickets for the Barry manilow concert prior to Christmas in the club 93 section, was charged the same day and still have not received the tickets that were meant as a gift. I’ve emailed customer service multiple times and have called and can’t seem to get a hold of anyone. Anyone have any suggestions to get in contact with them?

There were a «couple» in section 134 first row. Seats 1 – 4 on ½/​16. They should NEVER be allowed to attend a game again for attempting to lay hands on the opposite teams fans unprovoked. I have asked several guards and police officers to make them leave due to fearing my safety. But nothing has been done. Needless to say I will never be visiting this establishment again. The service here is terrible. No care at all for the safety of the other teams fans.
Updated: the Florida Panthers and BB&T center both reached out to me regarding this situation. I was told that they would be calling me to discuss what had happened and hopefully make it right. That was on January 4^th. It is now the 13^th… I gave them my phone number and the best times to reach me and I have yet to hear anything. Needless to say I will NEVER be returning to this arena. My experience there was terrible! And nothing has been done to reach out to me like they said. Terrible customer service and no respect for other teams fans. I’m just disgusted by this.

Went to a hockey game. The food was VERY expensive$$$$
Hamburger and fries was $ 14 a box of cracker jacks was $ 6 a vodka tonic was $ 12 and a double shot was $ 18 a turkey sandwich was $ 12, bottled water was $ 5, A soda was $ 6, an order of french fries was $ 7 at prices like that who can afford to go to a hockey game at 46.00 a seat.
They will teach you how to spend money.
No wonder why three quarter of the seats were empty?.

We went there tonight for the Panthers vs. Wild game. Parking is absolutely chaotic and costs $ 20. Getting in is a headache because security takes its sweet time and because they are understaffed. I brought a small purse with me and the lady checking it wanted to practically see every single item. I had my iPad mini in there and she told to pull it out and turn it on and gave no reasoning. Now, I understand the need for safety but when you have a huge amount of people to get in, it’s can kind of ridiculous to take 5 minutes per person to check every nook and cranny. I have been to Disney World and they seriously just move their stick in there for a second and move on.
Finding our seats was another headache, given wrong directions. When we found our section, a older lady came out out of no where and demanded our tickets. She said we were in the middle of our assigned row and we would disturb others if we tried sitting (the game had just started). What she didn’t know was that we were meeting a group that had a large number of tickets in one area and so where we sat didn’t exactly matter. We found our group and seats and when my dad started to sit by his friends, I went to follow him but the lady all of sudden rudely grabbed my arm and started saying something about disturbing others and how that was the wrong row. I don’t like being touched by strangers so I just gave her a look and tried saying something but I was so frustrated that I just completely brushed her off and went to sit with my dad. It’s «rude» for a fan to «disturb» other fans but it’s fine for an employee to be disrespectful and grab customers? Ridiculous.
The game itself was fun and that’s the only reason this place is getting a three star rating. However, I don’t think I will be back. Too many issues on the customer service end of things.

The BB&T center is really missing the picture on customer satisfaction. I have been to many hockey and concert events here, and every single one of them starts with a major traffic jam beginning on the Expressway, to several side streets to make your way to a very poorly marked parking area. For being located adjacent to a highway, the traffic management appears to have never been thought out… very poor experience, both coming and leaving.
Once you overcome the frustrations of parking, the fun isn’t over yet. I just attended a Panthers game last evening where it took over 45 minutes to get from the line at the metal detector, thru the (2) people scanning tickets. I can honestly say I have never seen a more poorly planned and executed entrance into an event than at the BB&T center. I arrived at a «no name» hockey event an hour and 15 minutes before the event, and didn’t get to my seat until half way thru the 1^st period.
If you have a choice, I would NOT recommend attending any Event at the BB&T center. Save yourself the aggravation and annoyance. Maybe someday those people responsible for this venue will care about the traffic and attendee experience.

Great venue for hockey and concerts– lower seats clearly are preferred

While I’ve not attended a concert here, this should be a really good venue as the sound system is excellent
Seats are marginally comfortable
Lots of opportunities to buy food, drink and souvenirs

¹⁰⁄₃₀ — FLORIDA PANTHERS VS. BOSTON BRUINS
First ever hockey game!!! We went all VIP for this. Front Row tickets, by the glass. That’s where you want to be. Every time they hit the glass, we jumped. It was super exciting.
The Boston fans were very loud, I wish the Panthers fans were louder. I expected a hickey game to be more energetic. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed myself.
The temperature was great, I wore a Panthers shirt… of course!, jeans and sneakers. I brought a jacket but didn’t need it.
Parking was a breeze. The stadium had plenty of Panthers merchandise and memorabilia. The staff is great, the lines at the entrance and exit went by rather quickly. I cannot wait to go to my next game!!!

We are pretty lucky to always have so much entertainment coming to South Florida. And while sometimes the big acts go down south to the American Airlines Arena or up north to the Premier Vodka Amphitheater — sometimes they arrive to right smack in the middle of the tri-​county area… and perform at the BB&T Center. Which is great for me because I literally live a few blocks from here!
I’ve seen a few of concerts and a couple of Cirque du Soleil shows here. From Jay Z to Y100’s Jingle Ball — even Taylor Swift (shake it offfff!) I’ve sat in various sections of the arena and every seat has been solid. The sound system has always been great, and the flow in and out of the arena has been as smooth as it possibly could.
Parking — There is plenty of parking and on average for concerts or big shows, it’s going to be somewhere in the $ 20 range. I guess now that I’ve lived in Broward for so long $ 20 seems unreasonable — (while $ 20 when I lived in Miami seemed like the norm).
The food… well, the food deff won’t be a culinary experience you will want to tell everyone about — but it’s solid fried goodness to go with your beer/​cocktails. Last time I had cheese fries and they were massive — and reasonably priced, not so much because of the quality — although they were super solid — but, because you’d expect higher prices at an arena I guess. With that said… the beer… the beer FEELS ridiculously priced, but it’s actually not that bad. A massive can of Heineken (ugh…) is $ 14. Yes, $ 14 for one beer, but it’s a tall boy, so you are actually getting 2 beers for 1 — so about $ 7 per beer, which seems reasonable in South Florida. I hate they don’t give you the option to buy in a smaller amount. By the time you get to the end it’s already warm — plus, sometimes you just want to have one beer, not two.
Overall it’s a solid venue. Now, I just need to get here to see a Panther’s game sometime!

VAREKAI! Another great Cirque Du Soleil! It never ceases to amaze me, the amount of work and Creativity that goes into one of this productions! I was lucky in the past to be able to talk to a director and it’s just mind boggling! Lol :-)

A great arena for the Panthers hockey team, concerts and special events, such as Cirque du Soleil. I’ve been here for all types of events and the seating (no matter where you are) always seems to have a great view of the action.
Concessions are pretty pricey, but reasonable when you remember where you are at, what event you are seeing, and the portions they provide you with.

Great event lots of people showed up. NHL definitely had a hand in the event. panthers really did well in hosting event. Hockey lives in south Florida.
Plenty of parking and many available food concessions. Hopefully we can host another All-​Star game.
Let’s go south Florida and show the hockey world that hockey can survive down here!

This is a beautiful facility and it is hard to believe that it is over 15 years old. It looks brand new still. If you have a lexus you can park up close for free! Otherwise, for many events parking is $ 20. They have many concession stands inside the facility. The roast turkey sandwich is a great quality sandwich for the price. They roast the turkey fresh that day and carve it in front of you! Overall, a great venue for a concert or hockey game.

Oh snap! It’s a cold snap. No jokes! If you’re here for a Panthers hockey game, make sure to bring warm clothes. It is incredibly cold. I have been to other hockey arenas but this one seemed particularly colder than any other hockey arena I’ve ever been to. Here’s the low down of the place…
Parking — I hear it costs $ 20. When we came about 2 hours early, we were diverted and we didn’t have to pay. Problem was I already bought a parking pass online. Go figure! The Girl Scouts teach you to prepare but here it seems preparation meant I paid for parking when others didn’t have to. Can you tell this is already a horrible start to my little adventure in Sunrise, Florida?

Gates Opening: BB&T allows fans in 60 minutes prior to the start of the hockey game. Keep that in mind or else you will be pacing outside like many of us. There’s not much to do so I’d recommend not showing up so early.
Game Time — Although the regular lines for the main entrance were not too bad, they didn’t move very fast either. Since we had club level tickets, I opted for the club/​suite entrance where there was no line whatsoever. Staff were courteous and nice.
Club Level — The second floor is a combination of club level and suites. Club area is only half or less than half. Not much space. What was most disappointing about club level was that there was such a limited number of concession food vendors at what they call «The Penalty Box.» Good food choices and there was an option for cook-​to-​order food which smelled good. There was also the option for desserts. Again, decent choices. But I wanted a fountain soda not a bottled one and there was none to be found at club level. At the ground level, not only did they have a vendor with fountain sodas but they offered a 32 oz cup that was bottomless/​refillable during the game for $ 11. Pretty good were it not for the fact I had to keep going downstairs to refill my soda. Exhausting.
View from Club Level — great view of the ice and the game. I highly recommend this area especially the corners were the tickets are slightly cheaper.
Temperature — It was way too cold. I really think they overdid it. My throat hurt and I felt like I had headcold by the time I left and believe me, I took many breaks away from my seat to warm up. I had to. Otherwise, I’d been a popsicle.
The arena wasn’t packed that evening so exiting was not a problem. I did like the fact that as I exited the parking lot, there were people that were organizing the exits for efficiency.
But to be perfectly honest, this was not one of the better sports venues I’ve been too. Next time, I’ll pass.

I never venture out to the BB&T Center, because it’s never been a favorite facility for me. However, this past Monday, I went with friends to see The Black Keys. While the band was great, the facility was far from it.
I often attend the American Airlines Arena, and I am telling you, if you can spend your money there, do so.
Parking is $ 20 and there’s no way around. So, bring cash! Then there’s the less than enthusiastic staff. Customer service is what keeps me coming back, but none of that exists here. It truly is an in and out service. God forbid, you ask anyone for directions to the bathroom.
My final complaint… I would advise against eating the food at this establishment. I ordered cheese fries and a water bottle ($ 6, and you don’t get the bottle!) and my total was $ 14. A little ridiculous, but I’m at a concert, so it’s no surprise. However, the next day, I felt sick. I won’t get into details, but it’s enough to say, don’t eat here! Save your money or eat prior to your event.
