Bear Bottom Resort

Absolutely horrible!
I realize that it was Memorial weekend and they were very busy, but come on. They need to train the servers better and if need have someone helping them!
DO NOT ORDER THE NACHOS!
They are the biggest rip off at the lake, $ 16.00 for a half order with nothing on them, it was all chips with a little chili poured over the top. Trust me, go anywhere else to get Nachos, not here.
The rest of the food was mediocre.
Only good thing was the band!
Go to The Fish, Miller’s Landing or the new place Angelos at Pier 31. Best food and Nachos on the water is The Paradise!

Will not be returning to this outdated dirty resort. We did have decent food, but it’s very pricey. Ants were terrible, crawling all over the counter tops all 4 days of our stay. Was so happy to leave this place to get a good clean shower. 4 people in our room and we had 2 bathroom towels, only to be switched out once we returned our dirty towels. LOTS of stairs to climb.

Even on a dreary day this place is great. Right on the lake and staff is friendly and attentive. Aaron in particular really impressed us – he came by the table multiple times asking if he could clear any plates or glasses and I’m telling you-I’ve never been so impressed with his kindness and absolute sincerity. Try thanking this guy and he will return the thank you for having come to his restaurant and hoping that we have had an excellent experience here. Who does that? Aaron does! Way to go bud! Keep that up

Definitely one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. Stayed five days and four nights with the family and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kids loved the pool and water slide. The bar is nice with a beautiful view. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and I can not praise them enough. I’ve stayed in other lake cabins/​resorts all over from New York to California and Bear Bottom does it right. We are already planning a trip back!

We did not stay at the resort but went for lunch and water slides.
The food is very good and the portions are huge. The nachos are amazing! The service was very good and friendly and the outdoor eating area is very nice. On the downside the food is overpriced. If they scaled down their portion size a bit they could bring their prices down to a more reasonable range.
After lunch our kids played some video games and went on the water slides. They have a $ 10 all day water slide pass — don’t waste your money. They only have two slides (which are identical) and the kids get bored FAST. The video games are all outdated and half are broken. There’s no good place to change into your swimsuits if you’re not a guest and the pool at the end of the water slides is filthy.
Overall, it was just ok, we would not go again.

Great place to hang out! Easy to get a Float Plane in and out, the staff was great. Try the HUGE Nachos:) Yummm! It’s also very family friendly with a great water slides. Something for everyone here.

Fun lake bar. Great entertainment, fantastic view and fireworks. The long boat dock makes for easy access. The water slide (wristband) is a good deal and you can hang there all day or come back the same day.

One of my favorite places on the lake. 2 waterslides, swim-​up bar, good nachos. Old school lake resort feel, cool place to party and for kids.
