Sunol Outdoor Paintball Field

We celebrated our son’s 12^th birthday here and had a fantastic time from start to end. The kids had a blast and continue to talk about «the best party ever» months after the event. We’ve even learned about other family and friends hosting future parties at this place.
Sunol Paintball’s staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, especially Rob and Marcel. We have been back several times and have learned more about paintball markers and accessories through guidance from their staff.
We highly recommend this place to everyone 10 years old and up! Our 5-​year old can’t wait to start enjoying the field with his older brother, family and friends.
And on a side note… as an added bonus, there’s a food truck that goes there around lunch — so no need to bring food if you don’t want. And when there’s no truck, the staff gets pizza and you can put in an order for your group.

This paintball park is great! The staff is super friendly and talkative, they have fair games (beginners, walk-​ons and self equip), offer prizes and raffles along with an MVP player of the day.
I originally came here with a group my first time and I was hooked, literally. I have stopped playing and coming here is always a blast. The staff will remember you by name and be extremely cordial. Overall, great place to spend your Sat. and Sun. afternoons!

I went to this field on Sunday September 13^th, 2015 with my son, family, and friends. We had a group of 9 and we all had a BLAST!
We came 100% excited and ready to play. And we maintained that excitement as a result because the STAFF which was super cool, safety conscious, super friendly, and created a real enjoyable experience. We had a mix of first timers and 2^nd timers and a couple of guys who were had a bit of experience. Everyone was happy.
We would have left earlier, however they had a raffle and pretty much my entire crew won the raffle which we shared paintballs to prolong our stay. It was GREAT!
I’d recommend this spot and we are looking to go again.

Did a team activitiy with my company here last Sunday, ⁸⁄₃₀. We had a blast! They have great facilities here and the staff has some inventive games to keep the action interesting & fun– refs vs. players, ‘time bomb’, capture the flag, & others. Very attentive team and high energy. Decent gear, no issues with the rental equipment at all. It was super hot, so I was grateful they provide free water. Would definitely go again, great for large groups.

If you want paintball w/​wonderful customer service, this is the place!
I brought my 2 teenage sons on a Saturday multiple times and every time we have attended, the staff has been so nice and accommodating.
From our 1^st visit to our most recent. They seem to remember your name and treat you like family! Not to mention, I recently was informed Sunol Paintball is a family owned business and boy does it show!
The right place to be if you want to practice your xbox and/​or play station game skills. :-)
Safe and comfortable at the same time!

This field has definitely stepped it up since the last time I visited them.
Facilities have improved and it appears to be a much smoother operation.

I definitely needed to log in here and leave this place a great review. This was my first experience playing paintball, and these guys did a great job of ensuring I knew and had everything I needed.
The staff– very friendly! They’re all mostly young folks and it’s pleasantly surprising how nicely they’re able to hold this place together and keep a positive atmosphere. Shout out for the guy on the mic!
The place — great! The field is pretty large and enough for multiple games to go on simultaneously. Lots of great cover is built and it’s about as real as a battlefield IMHO.
Keep up doing what you’re doing! Would definitely come back.

It is not every day that I am scared by a ten year old, but I saw a glimpse of what hell looks like on the Sunol Outdoor Paintball Field. There are plenty of kids out there with semi-​automatic paintball guns with extra clips of paintballs ballin’ out of control. They mow down adults twice their size and I even saw a grown man cry.
Luckily, I was part of a birthday party group and I only played with my n00b friends. I am not one for violence, but when your friend shoots you in the butt, the gloves are off!
For $ 45 dollars we got a gun and helmet rental and paintballs for play. After we suited up, we hit the fields with our ref. The ref decided what game we play, such as elimination, capture the flag, exploding bomb, tug-​a-​war, and a few others. I never knew how fun paintballing could be.
Make sure you wear jeans (even in the heat) and something thick. Paintballs hurt as much as they say. Although, even though I’m not a 50 Shades of Grey kind of guy, I sort of liked it. I was lucky enough to only get a few bruises, but the ones I did get were pretty bad. I thought there was a giant mole on my back when I looked in the mirror…
A shout out to the staff. They know how to joke around and make the experience very fun.

Every stuff is friendly. good place to play. my son is becoming regular. definitely recommended to family and friends.

All I can say I that this is a great outdoor place to have fun with your friends. We been a group of 6 people and played private against us or public against other player. The entire crew is trained to offer you all the info you need to play safe and have fun. They offer a variety of games, raffle and more. Definitely a recommended place to go.

A group of us came here for my niece’s birthday. I didn’t know what to expect since it was my first time paint balling. Although the actual paint ball game and field was intimidating at first, I was very impressed with the staff. It is a family owned business and they were nothing but fun, kind and generous. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back here in a heartbeat
If it is your first time here or paint balling in general, it is better to go with a group and reserve your own field. I would have been more intimidated playing with experienced strangers who looked like they were ready to do some serious damage!
And I would also recommend going in the early morning or when it is not so hot out. The heat definitely makes it harder and more uncomfortable to run around in especially when you have several layers on!

I went to Sunol Paintball for the first time nearly 15 years ago. It was an amazing experience the first time. I was into the sport for a 3 – 4 years, the I moved north for college. I just went back his past weekend and I had a blast.
There are a lot of changes since back in the day. They added lots of picnic tables with plenty of shade. When I went they had a taco truck there during and after lunch. If you buy all day air (only $ 10!) you can self-​fill as necessary. They have music playing. There was a raffle. There was an MVP (Most Vicious Paintballer) board. I’m sure there is more I missed. They have done a lot to improve their park; I was really impressed.
Safety and having a good time are what they focus on. It does not matter who you are young, old, rental player or self-​equipped: they cater to everyone. Everyone there is friendly, including the more experienced players. They do split up self-​equipped and rentals (rentals can play with self-​equipped, but not the other way) when there are enough people. They also have some massive games using all three fields with three teams. They play scenario games as well as simple elimination. When I was there they had a speedball tournament (for those that wanted to play a little more seriously) with teams of five, which was a lot of fun.
Thanks to them I just bought a new setup and whenever I am in the rare I will definitely stop by. I can not recommend this place enough.

So, just left Sunol Paintball Park for a fraternity brotherhood event and totally enjoyed my experience. Everyone on the staff is really personable, helpful, and interactive with the crowd that they’re dealing with that day. If you’re thinking about heading out for a day of paintball with the family or the fellas in the area, think Sunol. Thanks guys.

Came here for my fiancé’s nephew’s birthday today. For my first time doing paintball, definitely had a lot of fun. Came early, leaving from San jose around 7 something and got there about 45 minutes before they open and staff was already setting up. It is a family run business and they are nice people. The mother was really sweet and even moved her car so we could park closer to the benches which I thought was really nice. It really helped out later when it got hotter so our car ended up in the shade. Throughout the day, a lot more people kept coming in so there were a lot of people. I would recommend coming in early if you’ve never gone paintballing and want to get a feel for it.
We came in with a group of eight and went through several boxes. Our last box was premium pellets which we got for the price of the regular pellets because they ran out of the regular yellow pellets.
The emcee, Mikko, was quite energetic and kept the flow going. He did poke a lot of fun at my fiancé at times especially since he was wearing a tank top shirt (nicknaming him uncle Larry), but he was a pretty funny guy.
There are a lot of organized games done as well as raffle prizes throughout the day. You can pre-​order pizza for 6 or 7 and they do take a break to have a lunch break so you can eat the pizza when it comes.
I know I had fun, and hopefully everyone else who came had fun as well.
Just a tip to anyone who has never gone paintballing before, it will be hot as it gets later in the day so make sure you stay hydrated. Also the paintballs will sting, especially if it hits bare skin, so make sure you do have some sort of protective coverings to ease when you get struck. Expect to get bruises. I got hit on my pinky, lower back (i have a bruise and welt because my shirt went up since it was not tucked in), my face mask, and neck (i have no bruise here because i tied my bandana around my neck).

they gave us private games. Family owned and from the UNE!!! Yay… definitely coming back. Staff is hilarious. Very social. Love the vibe. Treated us right very personable.

Been going here since I first started paintballing which was 9 years ago as a 8^th grader with a Kingmann Xtra I’ve always enjoyed the staff, the fields, the regulars, the renters.
Newbie or paintball enthusiast, this is the place to go. I always enjoy bringing my friends or my friend’s friends here. You can go to other paintball places but if you got new people with you and your self equipped you’ll be seperated or not allowed to play with them.
Here everything is mixed fairly, every self equipped player is family and welcomes first timers. I don’t know how to explain how much better this place is not only as a intermediate player but as a beginner.

Perfect fields for paintball. We had an awesome experience… 100% recomended, great service and everybody was friendly.

My family and I really enjoyed this place! We had a party of 16 for my cousin’s birthday. This is only the second time I’ve played, but its definitely so much more fun, because the owners actually are very interactive with the players. They have games lined up, raffles, prizes, music and you can order pizza for only $ 7. Its little ceasars, but hey it saves you time and gas to grab your own. Ohhh and the porta potty are also pretty tiddy, we thought that was a big plus! Overall experience… AWESOME! :)
