The beef sirloin was terrific with the knife shaved noodle; the noodle was not too hard or chewy, the soup had so much flavor and the beef was nice and tender. I got the bean sauce noodle, but I found it not that flavorful as well as the noodles were a bit soggy. My husband had the green beans which were tasty and was topped off with chopped pork. The service at Xiang Xiang Noodle was very, very slow and the waiter didn’t seem to understand what we were saying. All in all I gave Xiang Xiang Noodle three stars because most of the food tasted terrific, but the service let’s just say was not as terrific.

the noodles and the beef were not bad. The portion size was good. The tables and chairs seemed new and the restaurant felt different than my other visits. Big downside is that they keep raising the minimum to charge on credit card. Now $ 25 which is WAY to HIGH. $ 10 is reasonable.

Really tasty noodles. We had the beef noodle soup(C1) and the minced pork and eggplant over noodles. I highly recommend the knife cut noodles. Both dishes were delicious!

Nice noodle place. I like shanxi noodle especially the dry noodles. The dry noodle is really the genuine shanxi style since in the old days shanxi is a place where water is so valuable that people even drink up the water used to cook noodles. The reason I have 1 star off is there are hundreds of ways shanxi people make noodles, they only have two, the knife cut one and the round one.

Their knife shaved noodle is not bad! There’re varies choices of noodles(soup, dry with sauce, different type of noodles, etc). Easy to find parking.

We were expected Chef Lee as this location, but instead of this Xiang Xiang Noodle restaurant, we decided to take a try… It was a Friday evening around 7:00PM, we saw a «close» sign on the door but several customers inside the restaurant. So I was confused that had to push the door asked if they were open. The waiter let us in and then turn around the Open sign. By sitting on an empty table for 15 mins, we finally took the menu and the waiter had never come back again. My headband had to «Call» the waiter to order. We ordered beef noodle soup and tomato egg fried noodle, the knife shaved noodle was overcooked so both of our noodles tastes too soft. I had to add a lot chili sauce and vinegar into the beef noodle soup to cover its smell of raw meat tastes. The tomato egg fried noodle was even not fried, only dry noodle mix with side tomatoes and fried eggs. Both of those taste sooooooo bad… As I said, the waiter would never come back, so I had to work to the cashier myself to pay… I left 20% tip of my bill to «myself» cause I know I would never come again.

I was excited to check out Xiang Xiang because noodles are always yummy. Plus, the traditional chinaware makes noodle soup food porn look prettier. We got the $ 9 knife-shaped beef noodle soup: — Noodles are good, QQ, and quite knife-shaped. Nice homemade touch — Beef is sirloin according to the menu, but it’s really just normal beef noodle soup beef — Veggies were lacking; there was only a sprinkle of cilantro. Facepalm, veggies are the redeeming healthy factor of beef noodle soup! — Soup had good flavor – hearty from the beef and subtly aromatic from herbs and spices – but was quite salty — Huge portions. I was hungry and was able to finish it P: This place has potential. I would be very happy if they add veggies and make their food less salty.(Perhaps they could consider customizable saltiness levels like how boba places customize with % sweetness and ice)

I definitely am a fan of this place. Came here last night around 8pm. At first I was a bit worry, saturday evening there were only 2 other table seated. But it was kind of late and I didn’t want to switch restaurant. This place definitely reminds me of QQ noodle in cupertino, which for me was a mediocre and overrated chinese noodle restaurant. Both of these restaurants specialize in «knife cut noodle». We ordered the beef noodle, pork rib noodle, the beef tendon dish and the tofu strings dish. By the way, the menu items are 90% similar to QQ noodle too. I must mention their hot chili oil and their vinegar, they used really high quality ones which definitely enhanced their dishes flavor. The small dishes are good, the 2 noodles are very good. The broth was tasty and the noodle are smaller slices than QQ noodle but the flavor of the broth are inside. The meat are both very tender. The bowl of noodle is really big. I barely could finish the bowl. I don’t have anything to complain about this restaurant, left really full and happy. I will definitely come back.

Came her 3 times in 2 weeks after the discovery of this place. I like hand shave noodle places so I am always looking to try new places. Came here on a Friday night and everyone in there were Chinese. Good sign right? Got seated right away since there was about 5 tables filled up. The lady that came took our order didn’t know English so another guy had to come answer some of the questions we had. Ordered the beef noodle soup with hand shaved noodles. The broth might be bland so some, but to me its actually pretty good… not oily and its light. The noodles were cook perfectly with the right amount of chew to it and they also give you a ton of noodles. Luckily we didn’t order an appetizer because I was barely able to finish my noodles. Prices for this place is decent. Please don’t expect much service as this is a pretty legit place… places like that don’t normally give good service. I’ve also tried the chicken mushroom noodle soup. If you like the taste of mushrooms, you will like this noodle. If you don’t want soup, try the dry noodle with beef and tomato. Very tasty dish and gives you a lot of noodles too. Stewed bean curd — pretty good. great flavor. Shredded potatoes — This was an alright dish. I love potatoes, but the potatoes in this dish tasted too raw.

Very average Chinese noodle soup place. You get the basics including hand shaved or round noodles(soba), meat, cilantro/onions, and broth. It’s a very simple minimal combination that tastes pretty good at first, but gets tiresome/bland after you work through half of the bowl. It’s not exactly cheap either for what you get — my bowl was 11 for soba round noodles and stewed beef, and the shaved noodle beef noodle bowl was 9. The amount of food was totally adequate so we didn’t get any of the sides. Only go if you’re craving authentic mom and pop styled noodle soup. They take card fortunately!

Was thinking what to get for dinner last night and saw an advertising page for this store and decided to give it a shot. We ordered two appetizers and 2 bowls of their beef noodle soups. Appetizers — Marinate slice potato The texture is not crunchy enough and it’s pretty lacked of flavor. Only thing I tasted was sesame oil and cilantro. Other than that, nothing much about this appetizer –Marinate cucumber They freshly marinated cucumber was way too salty. They used sesame oil, salt and some other ingredients to marinate the cucumber, but only thing I tasted was salt. Knife sliced noodles We got the #2 noodles, which was the sliced beef noodles soup. The only thing I think they should work on is their noodle. I believed the noodles were overcooked and were way too soft. You lose the handmade noodle texture. May consider to shortern the cook time. Other than that, the soup and the noodles were great and would go back for the noodles. This is probably a family owned mom & pops restaurant, therefore, their service is not the best, but still remain good attitude. I would say give it a shot, and see how you like it!

OMG, WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER. It’s REALLYREALLYREALLYRARE that I ever not leave a tip and have such a bad impression of a restaurant that I refuse to go back… So we came in, party of 4 and was seated right away(they weren’t busy at all, just a few tables with customers) and placed our order shortly afterwards… We patiently waited and waited, we didn’t get the waters that we asked for. and after about 10 – 15 minutes, my husband asked for the waters and shortly after the waiter brought it. As we were waiting, a few other tables filled up and they proceeded to order and whatnot… Then their food comes. BEFOREOURS… and we’re like. okay. maybe our dishes were a little more complicated? And we weren’t 100% sure they came after us(we were only 95% sure). We then asked when our food was coming and they said it should come soon and walked off. More people proceeded to come in. THEY got their food BEFOREUS. And we asked again, how much longer for our food? The waiter said he’d go check. .I had a hungry impatient baby(not to mention I’m quite impatient myself) that both my husband and I took outside to distract him numerous times already… The waiter came back and said there was a problem with their computer system and that it’s being fixed now… we waited even longer and asked again. and they said they’re working on their system to fix the issue. and my husband proceeded to ask. what does your system have to do with the food we ordered. Everyone else has gotten their food(we were the ONLY table that didn’t have any food on their table). After ANOTHER wait, they brought out two bowls, one that we actually ordered, and the other not what we ordered. After another shorter wait, one more bowl came out… Then after another wait my «dish» came out, except that it wasn’t what I ordered… and that was sent back. After a while longer, I finally got to eat. At what should have been a 30 – 45 minute lunch MAX, it took us like 1−½ hours. Delighted to find a noodle house close to my work place. The décor is nice with pictures of traditional stone grinding, noodle making, and shaving noodles. We ordered their beef soup noodle, Chicken Mushroom Soup noodle, and minced meat with Eggplant dry shaved noodle. All were tasty and well prepared. Broth were flavorful and not overly salty!

I used to go to the old Chef Lee Chinese restaurant in this location. When Chef Lee closed I waited with anticipation to see what would replace it . Xiang Xiang Noodle took over the Space and remodeled it. Its looks quite nice now. They have a LCDTV for Entertainment . I rolled in and grabbed a Table. My Server brought me a Menu and a Pot of Tea. I perused the Menu and went with the Beef Tendon –Knife Cut Noodles with Spicy Soup. I didn’t have to wait long before I was presented with my Bowl of Beef Tendon Knife Cut Noodle Soup. It was a nice Presentation the Soup was nice and Spicy the way I like it. The Knife Cut Noodles were interesting in Texture and Taste in a good way the meat was tasty I just wish the Portion size was bigger . Everything was Freshly Prepared. They take MasterCard and Visa But I paid Cash and rolled out.

First let me say this was just a couple of days after their opening. I’d give them 2.5 if I could just for the sake of it being their opening week. But… We are longtime customers of the prior Chinese restaurant at this location, Chef Lee, and sorry to say we’re not impressed with the newcomer. Their menu is limited to essentially five noodle dishes with either pulled noodles or ‘knife shaved’ which are wider, flatter knife cut noodles. Two, the spicy ones were not available so we were limited to either pork noodle soup, beef noodle soup or mushroom noodle soup. There were four of us. Having had the noodle soup from their predecessor we all opted for the Beef Noodle soup expecting something better than what Chef Lee’s had there previously except for one of us who ordered the mushroom noodle soup. Beef noodle soup broth was luke warm, and did not have much flavor. Luckily the noodles themselves were hot, which after mixing around heated the broth up. I added chile pepper and white pepper and salt to the dish to help season it a bit and it was okay after that. Noodles were cooked fine and tasted good themselves. I was expecting a deeply flavored beef broth. What I got was a watered down beef broth that lacked in flavor and any type of ‘lip smacking’ fatness. The beef was well cooked but was mostly cartilage, which I enjoy but some beef would be good too. Call it beef tendon soup if that is what it is. The mushroom soup was a thick, viscous blend of boiled mushroom, noodles and cornstarch thickened liquid, which, like the beef soup broth, lacked flavor. Perhaps this is simply opening stage fright. I’ll go back once more in a week or so to see if it is better. If not then I’ll leave my two star review. So sad to see Chef Lee replaced by noodles that are vastly inferior. I guess I’ll have to drive back to Mountain View to get my Chinese noodle fix from now on.

Opening day: Wednesday, September 16, 2015 Today was the first day of business. I came here for lunch to try their food. They have a several selection of noodles to offer. Regular noodles Kinfe-Shaved Noodles Most comes in a soup… but do offer some cold Noodles as well, along with some Appetizers. For me, I decided to try the«Traditional Beef Noodles»(Not Spicy) and had some Stewed Bean Curd as an appetizer. They seem to be tentative and not too long of a wait. We were seated quickly as the restaurant began to fill up as we got into our meal. The portions were fairly sizeable, but not way over size. The soup was somewhat tasty… I added a little hot sauce to my soup(due to my preference). The Beef was tender, noodles were fresh. The Stewed Bean Curd was just ok for me. You have to taste the Bean Curd before adding any Soy Sauce to it… because there is some already in the Bean Curd when they made the dish. Overall experience was accommodating and I will be back to try their Knife-Shaved Noodles. Until then…
