My visit to Dr. Huang’s office was, by far, the most pleasant experience at a dentist I can ever recall. The staff is friendly and facilities are clean. Dr. Huang is very genuine and honest in his consultation and will offer choices that are best for you and your health. I will definitely be back!

Dr. Huang and his staff have consistently delivered great customer service and helped to address my questions. They also offered a whitening bleach treatment, which worked very well. 5 stars for friendly service and dental expertise!

Efficient is the word to describe this doctor and his team. Got in the office and all research (with information provided in advance) had been done. After a brief explanation of what I wanted done, I was taken to the room, where I was immediately put into a chair by the doctor’s assistant, who prep me.
Then the doctor came and do his work. He was gentle, professional, and efficient. No fumbling. No frills. No wasted time.
The entire office worked like a well oiled machine that does NOT MAKE ME WAIT. I didn’t have to entertain myself with TV shows while waiting for the doctor.
I felt like a VIP the entire time because I felt as if the entire office was working together to provide a service to my need, sensitive to my time.

Today was the second time I’ve been to this dental office and I must say that I really enjoy the experience here. First, the lovely receptionists are very friendly and respectful! Next, Dr. Huang really knows what he’s doing and I felt comfortable with him working on me.
During my first session, I had the pleasure of having my teeth cleaned by their hygienist, Julia! She was super nice and sweet. She took great care of me and then Dr. Leong made a molding for me for my teeth whitening treatment.
It’s hard for me to trust any service professional, but after having my second session with Dr. Huang, they have got my business!
I’ll be sticking with them forever!

I’ve probably been coming to Dr. Huang’s office for close to 15 years now and I hope to continue to go here for the next 15. Practically my whole family comes here because it is that great. Dr. Huang is such a nice guy and his calm demeanor really puts you at ease. He is extremely knowledgeable and will always answer any questions you might have.
From the dental hygienists to those running the reception desk, everyone is super helpful and they really make your appointment as quick and stress-​free as possible. I come here for cleaning every 6 months and am happy to report that I have never had a cavity. I know a good deal of that is due to their great skill when cleaning my teeth.
Over the years they continue to upgrade their equipment and keep things current, which is important. It was quite strange getting my whole jaw X-​rayed for the first time. When the machine spun around my head, it felt like the future. :)
I would recommend this place to anyone. My fiancé is terrified of the dentist but even she cracks a smile here.

I have lived in multiple cities and visited at least a dozen dentists. I recently visited Dr. Huang’s office to get three large fillings done. Conclusion: Dr. Huang is the best dentist I’ve ever had.
(1) Dr. Huang will take the take to explain exactly what needs to be done, what he’s doing, and what he did.
(2) Dr. Huang has a way of telling you what you need to do in regards to brushing, flossing, etc without making it feel like a guilt trip.
(3) Dr. Huang was very careful to minimize pain and ask for feedback throughout the procedure.
(4) Dr. Huang is clear with his pricing, and understands that some patients need to clarify their coverage with insurance and consider their budget before agreeing to some treatments.
(5) The staff is very friendly and professional. The office décor is very nice — photographs of exotic destinations around the world, which livens up the office.
If I had to find any quibble, it would be that maybe their front door should be glass. On your first visit, it’s unclear that the door leads to the lobby. But that’s a small matter. Dr. Huang is a great dentist, I highly recommend to anyone.

I had terrible experiences with dentists in the past, I was so traumatized, I try to maintain my oral hygiene better, so I will never have to see another dentist again. After 12 years, my amalgam fillings failed, but Dr. Leong and Dr. Huang came to my rescue. Their honesty, kindness, integrity, professionalism have earned my trust and loyalty. Very thankful to have found them.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Huang since 2001. I’ve had at least 3 root canals, 2 bridges, wisdom teeth extractions and several fillings done by him over the years, plus regular cleaning every 6 months. Dr. Huang is very experienced and knowledgeable. He gives me my treatment options without pressure and helps me to plan it out so that it makes the most financial sense FOR ME. I also feel very comfortable during the procedures as he is very gentle and always makes sure to minimize any discomfort, and will happily answer any question that I have.
The office has been remodeled within the last year or two. The staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful, and knows me by my first name. After over a decade going to Dr. Huang I have found no reason to look anywhere else for my dental needs. I highly recommend Dr. Huang and his office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Huang’s for the past 2 years since I moved to this area, but prior to that, my whole family had been patients of Dr. Huang’s as well. We all have received excellent service from professional staff; even some elective procedures and oral appliances are provided at reasonable prices. They also have early opening hours that are more convenient for busy folks like myself. I’m especially happy that Dr. Huang had an oral appliance made for my father’s sleep apnea, which has tremendously improved his snoring. Speaking for myself, I cannot be happier with the care I have received from Dr. Huang and his group of hygienists!

I love going to this dentist office! By far, Dr. Huang is the best dentist that I’ve ever had. He found out that I had a hole in my bone under the gum lines that was causing inflammation that no other dentist ever found and I had the inflammation for years. He did a gingevectomy and the problem resolved. No more inflammed gums. I am super sad that my insurance changed and I have to change dentists. The just revamped their office and it is super nice in there, don’t let the out dated exterior fool you. I loved that everytime I went in for a cleaning, I always had the same dental hygenist. Most dental offices that I went to the dental hygenist changed everytime I went. If my insurance changes again. I will definitely be back.

Dr. Huang and his staff are phenomenal. I love coming here. All his oral hygienists do a great job! They offer me sunglasses during teeth cleanings so the bright lights won’t shine on my eyes. I live in the East Bay but drive to his office for my semi-​annual teeth cleanings. They do a really good job and are constantly asking if I am experiencing any pain or discomfort. They also describe what they are doing as they are cleaning the teeth (ie. «You may experience some discomfort here because the gums are red»). I can attest that they honor their Unilocal coupon for teeth whitening.

I have been going to Dr. Huang for about 5 years. Never had any issues, and every visit was a pleasant experience. I think Susan is doing a fantastic job juggling appointments and rescheduling if you need to; I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes after I got there, which is a huge thing for me! I’ve never had a dentist that was so efficient at honoring the actual appointment time! Once, I asked for an urgent appointment for a small chip in a crown, I got it early morning, arrived there a bit earlier and I was out, with the problem fixed, before the actual appointment time!
On a different note, there were never any billing issues whatsoever! It really doesn’t get much better than that.
My only regret with respect to Dr. Huang’s practice is that I moved out of state and can’t go there anymore…
P. S. For some people the cognitive dissonance is so powerful, that they simply cannot accept that other people may have different opinions… Just like the fox from the fable, if the other reviews are not to her liking, they must have been fake/​fabricated. I wonder how many «writing styles» there are for writing a review on Unilocal… I wonder if my word usage is similar to the other reviews as well, that would be a compliment for me actually, as a non-​native English speaker :-)

I have been a patient with Dr. Huang for the past 25 years and I have been very satisfied with his service. His office staffs are very professional and follow-​ups are always covered very well. The hygienists are also very good: giving clear account of what is being done and what to expect next. There are some turnover in the hygienists over the years, so when I get to know one better, then someone new may come along. So far, I have not experienced a bad one though.
My son is turning 18 in a month and I have no reservation in sending him to this dentist office. At the point, my whole family will be going to the same place to have our teeth taken care of !

My husband and I have been Dr. Huang’s patients for the past 10 years. We have been very pleased with his care and have referred him a number of patients who have also been very happy with his care. Not only is he very skilled and meticulous as a clinician, capable of providing the best care in some complicated conditions, but also kind and sensitive. He is very considerate about the patient’s comfort level, and is very open about all the care options available for the patient to make the most appropriate choice for himself/​herself.
His staff, from the dental hygenist to the receptionist, is competent, kind and courteous, always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs.

I have been going to Dr. Huang for two years now. This morning I did a quick Google search to find his phone number because I could not remember it off the top of my head. When the search results came up, I was shocked to see that Dr. Huang’s practice had only received 1 star on Unilocal.I therefore took a few minutes to read the September 1, 2010 review, which was the only review available. Because I wholeheartedly disagree with the aforementioned review, and believe that it paints an unfair and inaccurate picture of Dr. Huang’s practice, I felt compelled to write my own review.
I first met Dr. Huang about two years ago when a dental emergency arose. At the time, I had not visited a dentist in several years because I was previously in law school, meaning that I was broke and uninsured. At this point I had started my full time job, but was very busy and hadn’t made the time for a dentist appointment (admittedly a mistake). So one morning I was brushing my teeth when I noticed something fairly large and hard bouncing around the back of my mouth. To my dismay, i realized that it was a fairly large piece of one of my molars. Not quite sure what to do, I began calling dentists in the area to set up an emergency appointment. Though I made several calls, Dr. Huang’s office was the first to call me back (and they returned my call surprisingly quickly for the early hour that I was calling). Within a couple of hours, I was at Dr. Huang’s office. Dr. Huang expediently diagnosed the problem, let me know what I had to do, and referred me to a specialist (who turned out to be excellent) to have a dreaded root canal performed (which is actually not as bad as advertised). Thereafter, he did an excellent job of making and putting in a crown, and I have been going there ever since.
Everyone at the office is extremely friendly and helpful. Despite the negative 1-​star review discussed above, Dr. Huang’s hygienist is also great. She is very friendly, always checks to make sure that you are comfortable, and works to get you through the appointment in a timely manner (which is important to me because I am usually trying to get out of there quickly so that I can get into work). With regard to scheduling appointments, they are also extremely accommodating and work around your scheduling issues. And the receptionist could not be nicer — it is always a pleasure to speak to her.
Overall, I could not be happier with Dr. Huang’s practice, and would highly recommend that anyone looking for a dentist in the South Bay give him a call.

I give Dr. Huang 2 stars, and his dental hygienist zero. Average score for this practice is one star.
I first went to Dr. Huang when I experienced pain in one of my teeth. He insisted that I do a general cleaning first. OK. That’s pretty normal. But I found out after my cleaning that Dr. Huang hadn’t even planned on seeing me that day. So even though I was in pain, I had to schedule and wait for a second appointment to finally have him take a look at my tooth.
But let’s first talk about his hygienist, who did my initial cleaning. Let me just say that I have a very high tolerance for pain. Went through 5 major surgeries in my life without using any post-​op pain medication. But I was in tears half way through the cleaning because she was so rough and forceful. Even though I asked her repeatedly to lower her force, she didn’t budge, and insisted that if I had flossed more it wouldn’t have hurt so much. So what if I didn’t floss daily? That doesn’t give her the rights to torture me. I should have walked out right there, but I had carpooled there with a co-​worker. So I stayed ’til the end because I figured I’d have to wait around for my ride back to work anyway. In hind sight I should have left anyway. I was in tears with a full mouth of blood by the time she was done. I’ve had many teeth cleaning in my life, and none hurt half as much as this time.
When I finally got around to seeing Dr. Huang on my second appointment, and explained my tooth pain. He looked at my x-​ray and declared it’s too tricky to fix, and he went on trying to convince me to do a crown for a different tooth that I don’t have any problems with. I get that he’s a general dentist and maybe there are things that are outside his specialty. But he could have referred me to a specialist. Instead, he tried to sell me something that I don’t need, and completely ignored my actual dental problems.
Needless to say, I never returned. I went to another general dentist, who referred me to a specialist who fixed my tooth on my first visit.
I would not go back to Dr. Huang, and would not recommend him to anyone.
