History

Established in 2002.

Being a writer before I was a coach and being trained in Sociology and Psychology, I’ve always enjoyed helped folks with their resumes, cover letters, and job search strategy but I more formally made a business of it in 2002.

I sent through an amazing transition and try to help my clients do the same – essentially helping folks find work that makes them come alive and look forward to going to work each day. I’ve been told I’m a natural at helping and I love it.

I earned a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Sociology with extensive training in Psychology, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Santa Clara University.

As a Career Coach in private practice and with Right Management Consultants, I’ve helped scores of clients define and achieve their career goals including helping them get the work they want and deserve more quickly than they could on their own while also helping them to land better fitting positions than they would on their own.

I currently work as a colleague of Marty Nemko and am listed as a career coaching resource in Richard Bolles’ classic «What Color is Your Parachute?»

I’m also a featured speaker on career development issues, an often quoted thought leader, as well as host and producer of my own career/​jobs television show «You’re Hired!»
