Coach Chris Silva has been incredible. After a couple of weeks of training he noticed that my daughter had a break in her kick. I watched him spend at least 15 minutes per practice with her working on her kicking dynamics. It really paid off. She went from dribbling goals in to the net to scoring from outside the box. This last season she took every corner and free kick for her team. On top of this he makes the sessions fun for the players. She always looks forward to his practices and is full of energy on the drive home.

If you want your son or daughter to make it far in this sport, coach Chris Silva is who you want to train and coach your kids. Both my kids went through the Sporting Soccer Academy and both showed huge improvements in sportsmanship, ball handling, and improved confidence. Watching several training session it’s clear that Coach Chris has a passion for the sport and truly cares about all the kids he trains. Looking forward to next year! Thanks Coach Chris

I usually don’t write reviews unless I am highly impressed. I take my nephew to train with coach Silva from time to time and I have to say that it’s great to see a person genuinely love what they do and be successful at it. His knowledge for the sport is evident in his professionalism and performance. He gives great feedback in what the player is lacking and improves it each session in a skillful manner. My nephew is always excited to attend his trainings and speaks highly of his time there. Coach Silva is not only an excellent coach but a positive role model for the youth. I’m glad my nephew is not only learning by getting motivated but also enjoying what he loves to do. Thank you for taking the time in impacting our youth and keeping them motivated in what they love to do. I highly recommend taking your all star player to Coach Silva for a great experience!

Chris has been training my son for
Close to a year. His performance on the field has improved considerably and his stamina is much better than before. More that that is that Chris is a great influence in my son’s life and truly cares about him. I would highly recommend Chris!

Chris and his training style has resulted in our daughter playing with more confidence. His ability to isolate what each individual player needs and developing those skills is what sets him apart. He seems to know instinctively when to push harder and when to pull back. His tweaks to specific movements have made a huge difference in her play.

My son has been going to Chris for the past 6 months. We’ve seen huge improvements in my sons game and performance overall. We are very happy with the progress our son has made and are looking forward to working with Chris for years to come. My daughter has been going to Coach Chris for almost a year and a half now. The high quality of training that my daughter gets has been very consistent for the year plus we have been with him. He holds high standards for himself and the kids which translates to the success the kids sees or will see on the field. He’s been an integral part of my kids advancement so I highly recommend Coach Chris and Sporting Soccer Academy to any player that wants their game to go to the next level.

Coach Chris begins the session with a warm-​up, and then he works on speed and footwork and other drills. He has plenty of equipment, so, if my daughter is training in a larger group no one is ever waiting for a turn as Chris keeps everything flowing. He uses his training time well with team drills to keep the kids engaged and motivated. Chris’ positive and specific comments during the drills direct the athletes so that they know exactly how/​where to improve. Each session is tailored to the group with special attention being paid to each individual child. I’d recommend Chris to any youth player whether it be recreation or elite level.

My 8 year old son has made great strides under Coach Chris in only 5 sessions. His confidence has increased significantly and his strength and endurance have also improved. Coach Chris is great about pushing the kids and challenging them make adjustments and come away with new skills each session. I highly recommend Sporting Soccer Academy to those athletes looking to take their game to the next level.

In my first experience with Chris I saw immediately the level of dedication and overall commitment that any parent would want out of a trainer. My daughter is older and is getting ready to make the transistion from highschool –club soccer into college level soccer. The extra effort that she spends with Chris is 100% worth every minute. He works on her touch, vision of the game, agility, kicks, headers, and overall speed and he puts them all together. His patience really works well for my daughter. I would recommend Chris to anyone who has kids that are looking to get to the next level or higher.

Chris S. Head Trainer with SSA is a GREAT soccer trainer. He is knowledgeable, patient, and detail orientated. His dedication and passion for the sport is evident in the way he trains. My 12 y.o. daughter, who plays competitive soccer, is comfortable with him and has shown improvement in the short time she has trained with Chris. I would recommend anyone who has a child that wants to improve their skills, whether they play recreational or competitive soccer, to start training with SSA and Chris.

Chris trains both of my boys. prior to the starting with him they were solid players who had low energy and drive and were only moderately fit. In around 5 months he has completely changed their approach to soccer. they are both much fitter, have more drive and energy and watching them play for their respective teams has gone from being a somewhat frustrating experience to be an absolute joy. Both of my boys coaches have commented on the change and their playing time has gone from low/​moderate to them basically playing all the time. Chris works them out very hard but they love going — totally excellent. I fully expect them to stay with him until they head off to college.
Chris is flat out a great coach — really nothing else to add.

SSA is awesome. Over the course of a couple of months I’ve seen my 11 year old’s game and confidence blossom. Chris doesn’t just tell her what to do — he actually explains and demonstrates how to get it done. Their style is frank and honest and I appreciate it. if you want you young one’s game to improve, reach out to SSA. I couldn’t provide more of a recommendation for SSA.

The focus and dedication Coach Chris has with his players is beyond what we could ever hope for. We are so fortunate to be able to have him work with our daughter. He has the perfect way of motivating them and pushing them to try their best. The first session was very tough for our daughter and she pretty much said she didn’t want to go back. By the 3^rd session, she admitted that she was excited to go to training! Chris takes the time to really teach his players and get them out of bad habits. His input is specific and never generic, which is great because we can pinpoint what she really needs to work on. We wouldn’t even think about going anywhere else for this type of training. With Chris, we know we will get 100% honesty, dedication, and commitment. With just a few sessions, we already know how great of a program this is.

Chris definitely knows his craft. In one session, he was able to identify and articulate my daughter’s strengths and areas of improvement. He presented my daughter with physically demanding, challenging exercises and was able to teach them in a positive, constructive manner that my daughter responded well to. Chris is patient and equally as encouraging. Even though she was continually being pushed both physically and mentally, my daughter was excited about the first session and eagerly nodded her head when asked about a possible second session. I (unexpectedly) noticed improvements in just one single session.
I would recommend Chris to any parent with a child who wants to improve his/​her soccer skills.

Chris has done great work with our son (now 12 years old; 11 when he started in early 2014), and has really boosted his confidence. Our boy has been «recovering» from bad experiences with former teammates and coaches for the last several seasons. So, we really wanted soccer, still his favorite sport, to become a big positive in his life again. Chris is very positive with him, and quickly recognized his natural athletic ability, as well as his needs for better touch and improvement on other ball skills. We saw his attitude and confidence improve after just one session.
Our son has grown more confident again, and has become more aggressive on the field — more like his true self. He has a lot of fun, and has even strengthened his leadership skills (an unexpected bonus), when Chris calls on him to lead other athletes in warm-​ups at the beginning of training sessions. :-)
Workouts are hard and focused and fun — great combination. Chris has voluntarily done extra work, staying late with our son, to help where more work was needed. Chris also has helped our son train to further maximize his speed and sprinting power in preparation for his big track meets during the spring. Overall, SSA has been a great experience for our son, and I would highly recommend Chris for any motivated young soccer player.

Sporting trains my husbands comp team once a month and our two sons twice a week. Coaches are very prepared and patient with the kids. The kids are very receptive to Coach Silva’s teaching methods and they look up to him like an older brother. Coach is humble, interested in my sons life’s and asks about school work, diet, life, put’s sunscreen on them etc. I think that’s what makes him a great coach.
They relate to him, respect him and are motivated by his high intensity coaching methods. In return, they practice harder and with more discipline and confidence.
He also brings out music for the boys while they train and saves their favorite playlists! They say it pumps them up during cardio! haha.
The Academy is known for working with top grade athletes, looking to use a soccer as a vehicle for bigger and better things. BUT they also have young kids programs that are just as good. (Good Referral Program: prices go down every player added)
