Pet Sitting To the MAX

If you are looking for a dog walker, daycare, or overnight care for your dog, stop your search and use these guys — seriously. I have been using them for over a year for all three services and continue to be impressed with the quality of their care.
We used Pet Sitting to the Max from the very beginning when we got our BT at 8 weeks for visits when we were at work. They were very careful to be sure they understood our needs and our regimen for caring for our puppy, and came ahead of time (on short notice, too) to meet him and ensure that everyone felt comfortable with the plan before proceeding.
For about a year, Lina was our regular dog walker — coming when our BT was too young for the traditional walks just to visit, play, and help with the potty training. I can’t tell you how many compliments I received from other people in our apartment building that would see Lina and comment to my husband and I about how sweet she was. She took such good care of our BT, sending us pictures, creating little videos, and we feel she cared for him so well that I would refer to her as his second mother. We are so thankful for Lina and couldn’t have raised our pup without her help.
We have also bought out BT to daycare/​overnight stays with Pet Sitting to the Max, and also always felt that he was receiving top notch care. We never had a worry; we knew if our dog was with Pet Sitting, he would be okay and cared for. He is also such a cuddlebug that we sleep with him at night, and they were totally understanding and accommodating of that. We recently had our dog stay with Karina for the holidays and, due to travel complications, couldn’t get back until a full 3 days later. They helped us out without even blinking an eye, and when he ran out of food, they went and picked up more for him. When we picked him up, he also had a little name tag on his collar as we hadn’t gotten one for him. The little touches like that let you know that they care for your fur baby just like you do. I have also found Karina to be very knowledgable and she always had good information whenever we had vet visits, etc.
Amy, the owner, is also very sweet and totally understands your needs and will love your dog like you do.
There are other people at the daycare/​overnight that I don’t think I’ve met personally, but knowing Amy and the caliber of the rest of her staff, I’m sure they are amazing as well.
We owe our happy and well-​adjusted puppy’s temperament at least partially to the help we got from Pet Sitting, and there are countless other little moments that I haven’t written about here that would speak volumes about their commitment to animals.
I can’t recommend them enough — we are so grateful we found them!

I had a wonderful experience with Pet Sitting to the Max. They came and took my dogs out for a walk everyday for a week when my husband was out of town. They were amazing! My dogs were well cared for and I received some really amazing photos of them. Our dog walker, Jim, even provided me some suggestions for my rambunctious puppy, and I was so grateful! I would highly recommend them and plan on using them again in the near future!

I booked a walk a day for 2 days for my 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix, taking advantage of the «free walk» offer via Unilocal check-​in. I was leaving my rescue dog home for the first time and wanted to hire a dog walker so my family didn’t need to move their schedules around to take my dog out on walks.
Lisa came over for an initial meeting and spoke with me about how the dog walking would work and met my dog Indy. Things seemed ok and although Lisa seemed to be a little inexperienced/​unsure at first, she was polite and cordial, putting in the effort to get to know what I wanted for my pup when I was gone.
The following day, I left for my weekend trip. Since my rescue dog is still dealing with separation anxiety, I let my family know that if Indy seemed too stressed, it was fine to just send Lisa home rather than force Indy to walk. Well, turns out that’s exactly what happened.
Though Indy did not respond well to being walked, I was told Lisa attempted to make it work until my family told her that it was fine and to skip the walks. In the meantime, I emailed Karina at PSttM to explain the situation, cancelled the second walk, and told her to go ahead and charge me for one walk since Lisa came over and tried. Karina was very understanding and actually offered to credit me for 2 walks to be used at a later time or refund me for both walks.
She went above the standard that I expected and I look forward to using this dog walking service again soon.

Pet Sitting to the Max is absolutely superb! Amy and her crew go the extra mile to accommodate the needs of both the owner and the beloved pet! They’ve helped us so many times and in so many ways, it’s hard to enumerate them all — but their excellent and highly personalized service always leave us and our dog with a big smile! From convenience pick-​ups, to odd-​hour drop-​offs, to doggie medicine, special foods, playtime, and photos sent to us while we’re away — I’m confident they take care of our little dog at least as well as we can — she always comes home looking great and acting happy! I created a Unilocal account just to give a review :) We move every 13 wks and I only wish we could take Amy and her family with us. We boarded our sweet girl there and she absolutely loved it. Amy was so flexible with drop off and pick up times and was always available. I have a pit mix and it can be impossible to find a place that will take her even though she has never been aggressive. All the dogs are screened to see how they work with others and are always supervised. It’s just a truly wonderful environment for every breed of dog. Thank you Amy and crew!!!

i’ve been using the services of pet sitting to the max every weekday for about half a year now. my regular dog walker, lina, has been nothing short of amazing. she’s reliable, flexible, and extremely personable. it was immediately obvious that she loves dogs and that she takes pride in her work. i couldn’t be happier with the care and attention that my dog receives. 5 stars!

We send our dogs to the team daily for «camp.» The pups love it! Amy picks them up and brings them home. The dogs are nice and tired after playing for the day. Amy and team are very responsive to texts and email and great to communicate with. We haven’t gone on vacation yet but would trust the team to either take our dogs while we are gone or sit them in our home. We get regular reports during the day on the dogs activities and have had help with transporting them to/​from the vet for routine appointments. I regularly will also ask Amy and team for advice on training or general care for the dogs. A+ experience.

We recently used the services of Pet Sitting to the Max and overall it was a good experience. Roshan came to our home well before our trip and went through all of the services they provide and how much it would cost. Very professional and thorough. During our trip, she was in contact with me after each visit, and provided photos, which was helpful since we were concerned about our cat, Fred, being a senior cat and all. They make it very easy to pay for their services online, too. It would be helpful, however, if the payment allowed for a tip option. Regardless, great service and we’ll be calling them again in the future.

Knowing that we can fully trust Amy to come to our house while we’re away to spend time with ‘the girls’, two picky Shibas, makes all the difference in our being away without worry! One of our dogs has some special medical needs, and boarding was just never a comfortable option for us. Amy and her team have made all the difference. I’m very happy with Pet Sitting To The Max. My dog occasionally goes to daycare and he is always happy and tired by the time he gets to go home. Amy is very personable and her staff is caring and very good with my dog.
When I go on vacation and need someone to stay overnight with my pets, her staff is very accommodating and easy to work with. I have plenty of non-​obvious surveillance cameras in my home, that I can use to check in at any time. I can even hear in addition to see, what is going on. My pets have always been well treated by her staff, if not a little spoiled. The staff has always abided by my house rules, including keeping the place clean at all times. I also love getting daily updates and pictures while I’m away.
I’m very happy with the service and I would recommend them to family and friends.

We were referred to the company through the Sunnyvale Vet Clinic as we needed to leave our puppy in special care as he had not yet received his rabies vaccine and was therefore unable to stay at a boarding facility. Amy was so pleasant to speak with, and helped us arrange everything so that George (our dog) would be able to stay at her place and receive the special care that he needed.
It was an excellent experience – the dogs absolutely love it there and have such a great time. It feels wonderful to know that your pet is in great hands and getting lots of personalized attention while you’re gone. They go above and beyond.
Every time we are traveling, we use Pet Sitting to the MAX! They send us pictures of our puppy almost every day, no matter if he’s only there for 3 nights or 3 weeks (when we went to Southeast Asia), and he has such a happy experience there. We so appreciate having such a valuable, trusting, and positive relationship with our dog sitters!

I am COMPLETELY dissatisfied with Amy and her services. I set up a meet and greet for my 2 Bostons, however I got a call the same morning saying that she had to reschedule due to an emergency with one of the pets she was caring for (completely understand, I would want the same care for my dogs). We rescheduled for later that week — got another call stating that she needed to reschedule because she was «too busy» due to the Easter weekend. We rescheduled again. I waited and waited on the day she said she would be here to meet us — SHE DID NOT SHOW. No phone call, no text letting me know why. Upon texting her to ask why she didn’t show, her response «she forgot to put me in her schedule» and she «sucks at scheduling». Why would I ever trust someone to look after my beloved pets if they can’t even be organized enough to even meet me??!

I have two dogs, Chimu and Pipa. So when I was planning to go to Chile to visit my family for three weeks I had to search for a place where to leave them. After a lot of investigation I found out this company, and I’m so glad I did it.
The first part of the process is the meet and greet, where Amy and Karina (in my case) went to my place to meet the girls, in this same visit we agreed the number of visits as well as the daily schedule. This was a couple of weeks before we departed to Chile.
The day we left our dogs, specially Chimu, were very anxious like they suspected something wasn’t ok, long story short they were with upset stomachs and very stressed so in the first visit Karina and the rest of the team did to them they found a mess in the house. Here is the first good thing about Pet Sitting to the Max: They diligently cleaned up everything and Karina (she is a pet care technician) started to investigate what was the root of the issue, prepared special food for our dogs (since they stomachs were upset) and took care of them. Always keeping us up to date on the evolution of Chimu and Pipa. They even send pictures to you! so you can see how are they.
After a couple of days the girls were really relaxed enjoying the company of the staff and the daily walks. Karina and the rest of the team continued monitoring Chimu and after a couple of days everything was normal.
I even had some issues returning home when I was supposed to, so I told Amy and she had no issues extending the care for one extra week.
Overall, I recommend this company to everyone who love their pet and want to receive a premium care for them. I’m sure I will contacting Pet Sitting to the MAX in the future.

I have met Amy and Karina. Karina has watched our pets while we were away and she did an excellent job! We received pictures and text message updates every day. One of our cats is very skittish around new people and Karina was able to work with him and make him feel comfortable enough to come out and play with her!
When our geriatric cat was being a picky eater (he has few teeth left), Karina has used the food processor to blend up his food, mix it with water and spoon feed him to help keep as much weight on him as possible, in addition to giving him his pills and fluid hydration. If that doesn’t demonstrate top level of care, we don’t know what does. We love Pet Sitting To The Max!

Ami the owner of Pet Sitting to the Max is great. She has had Lina stay at our house twice with two more stays planned in the next month. Lina is great. She sends us daily updates with pictures and the animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) always look happy. We come home and they are happy to see us because they missed us, not because they were neglected or anything bad.
Lina even did a little cleaning before we got home from an 18 day trip to welcome us back which was awesome.

Amy is professional, personable, prompt and trustworthy. During the interview process she was really thorough and displayed a passion for what she does. She provides quality and loving care for your pets — her #1 priority is making sure your pets are well cared for. I noted that my dog had a behavioral change and displayed anxiety/​fear over her food bowl and I appreciated that Amy worked with my dog and hand-​fed her in order to eventually get my dog to eat from the bowl.
While my 2 shih-​tzus were in her care, Amy sent updates letting me know that they had gone on their walk, what happened, and any interesting (and cute!) behavior they may have displayed. I loved getting pics of my dogs!
Looking forward to the expansion of Pet Sitting To the MAX as I know many pets (and owners!) will benefit from her services!

Amy came to watch over my cats while we took off to Vegas to visit my parents.
From the very beginning when she came over to check out our place and the pets, she was professional, asked all the right questions about feeding, mess, hiding locations, and habits.
Amy was always on time, took pictures of the cats and texted them to me and gave me continuous updates. On our way to Vegas we had gotten into a bad car accident which delayed our return. She was completely flexible and offered to get additional cat food if necessary.
The pricing was more than reasonable, the invoicing was professional… I often felt like I had an in home nurse watching my cats. It was awesome!!!

We reached out to her several months ago as a result of the great reviews on Unilocal,and since that day, she has been part of our family. She takes care of our cats, and dog in addition to taking care of our house while we are away. Her love for animals as well as her friendly yet always professional attitude is one of a kind!

Nothing but positive things to say about Pet Sitting to the MAX!
Last year my doggie daycare location actually lost my dog… yes, lost her! We got a call from a random person saying they had our baby! Needless to say, my search started for a reliable, professional and knowledgeable alternative.
I certainly found all those attributes in this crew. I’ve been using MAX for daycare, boarding, and walks for over a year. I love their flexibility in scheduling — if I had an emergency, I know they would do everything they could to accommodate.
One of the challenges of my selection process was that many daycares/​boarding didn’t allow Pit Bull Terriers. Not only is this annoying from a discriminative perspective, but I don’t want anyone who has preconceptions about my dog taking care of her anyway! What I liked about MAX is they had experience with Pit Bulls and had even owned one in the past.
I could go on for hours about how awesome Amy, John, Deb, Taylor and team are… but you really should go and meet them yourself and discover your new partner for dog sitting.

This review, I regret to say, is LONG overdue for a woman (and the company she owns) who has gained the trust and accolades of THIS nearly neurotic dog mom.
My girl NIbbles turned 14 in May of this year, and was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy in 2010. It’s slowly progressed to her having a bit of difficulty getting up (once she’s on her feet, she’s ok), and since I live in a second-​story apartment, this entails carrying her down the stairs and either carrying her back up or boosting her up the stairs by her bottom.
Back in July, I left Nibs in the care of a boarding facility in Sunnyvale whose services I’d used before. While she became mildly ill (diarrhea for a few days) after that first visit, this second visit left her with liquid stools that she sometimes could not control, and difficulty walking. Needless to say, I will not be taking her back there again. (Send me a private message if you want details.)
I work 12-​hour nightshifts and could not fathom leaving her alone during her recuperation for the 14 hours I’d be gone, and searched frantically for a dogsitter who would not only come to my apartment to dog sit, but wouldn’t mind ferrying my 30-​lb mutt up and down the stairs and might have to clean up a mess while she convalesced.
Things in the universe aligned and sent me Amy… and for that, I will be forever grateful.
During her first visit, the customary meet-​and-​greet, she got down on her hands and knees to say hello to Nibs the first time, which gave me a genuine sense that she really truly cared about Nibbles. She then broke out her notes and asked MANY appropriate questions, regarding meds, bathroom habits, and appropriate toys and treats. As the visit progressed, I could feel my anxiety at leaving Nibs melting away.
That was back in July. A few months on, and I’m still happily keeping Amy’s services for Nibs (we’re down to just one walk late at night while I’m at work) and I could not be happier. Amy is communicative, flexible and just a genuinely wonderful, sweet person, both to me and, more importantly, to Nibs.
This is a verbose review, and I thank you for reading this far, but I hope the sheer length of this review helps convey how absolutely wonderful Amy is. If any of you love your dog as much as I do, and are in need of someone to look after your poochster just as lovingly as you do, do yourself and your dog a favor, and hire Amy. You will not regret it…
