O’Reilly Auto Parts

It was really hard finding a sales person to help me. The place has lots of automotive items, but no one to help… I left after walking around a lot and not finding what I wanted an not finding anyone to help me.

I echo the other reviewers here when I say that Chuck, the manager, is the best customer service professional to brighten anyone’s day, who is patient, kind, and will go the extra mile to help with even the most miniscule and mundane of problems. The items in the store tend to be dummy items (e.g. packages only) to prevent theft, but even with that inconvenience, I will be sure to be back.

I got what i needed, and I had to wait a lot as, curiously for a Sunday, the store was quite busy. It was my first time and I did not get a good impression. The lady working there that day was not very friendly, she looked like in bad mood or stressed and i think it is very rude to discuss issues of the store itself with another employee in front of the customers waiting in line. The other poor guy was polite and did not talk much, he was too busy not complaining about the status of their stocked items.

Had a great experience with this shop today. Tried to get a wretch they don’t have, the guy at the counter help me find it in another shop. They even take a look at my car to find the best match!

While the service is great. The battery tie down they sold me and put on broke about two months later and caused damage to my car that cost me about 300 to fix. Guess I should have kept my rigged battery hold.

Had a great experience with O’Reilly’s last night. I came in to find something that would take that nasty road film off the inside of my windshield. We were greeting by a friendly clerk, (missed your name, sorry), who suggested a few things, then called Chuck to help. Chuck introduced us to Goop Spray. He even went out to the parking lot and tested it on a spot of the windshield! It worked great!
But the story gets better: when we went to purchase a can, the store’s stock was depleted, so Chuck gifted us with his own personal can — nearly full. Now, that’s customer service!
I’ll add this: we’ve had a great experience every time we’ve gone to O’Reilly’s. But Chuck went above and beyond the call of duty, and deserves special mention.

Every time i visit this store i always get excellent customer service. we have a business account with them and every time we need something they do their best to satisfy out request. always happy with the service

Needed a simple headlight bulb. Was looking for something close by and choose this location given the help reviews. The staff there was great, looked up the part I needed got me to buy something additional and sign up for their rewards program (which I don’t normally do but since they were nice). The place is somewhat hidden but I will be coming back here just for the service alone.

My first few times here were happy. Staffs were helpful and friendly. But today a lady staff here was extremly unfriendly to me. She refused to answer my question and seemed very angry at me! I just wanna know the details of the part, not take money from you! Won‘t come again.

I watched YouTube video to learn how to replace my car battery before I walled into the store to buy battery. After he (didn’t catch his name) took out the tools, he went straight to put on gloves and went to my car. Then I realized he was going to change it for me! He made everything look easy, the entire process was smooth. he made recommendations professionally. Thank you!

Chuck makes a difference, by showing new customers the sales of the week. Thanks Chuck for your help.

Very helpful staff, if you enjoy being CONNED into buying the most expensive possible parts.
That’s what happenned to me, upon entering the store I was immediately greeted and I explained to a helpful lady the parts I needed. Again very helpfully she said she was going to fetch parts for me that were THE SAME model as the ones I described.
Upon paying, I thought the price was way too high, but being clueless about cars I didn’t question it. Only after having them installed in my car I realized not only the parts were not the same model, I had been sold unnecessarily «top end» parts, costly roughly THREE TIMES more than it should!
Congratulations, this was the first and LAST time I went to this store.

Went there yesterday to buy some adhesive (for Shoes) that I could not find anywhere. The Manager (Chuck Larsen) found it for me. The level of customer service he provides is Exceptional. I ended up buying a set of floor mats too that was a great recomendation by him.

I came in to get new windshield wipers and Jeffrey & Josie were both such great help. They gave me quick tips and helped me pick out the best (plus affordable) wipers for my car. Josie was kind enough to install them for me, free of charge.

It’s always something with my car… in 30 days, it’s been towed 3 times, had the starter replaced TWICE, atleast 3 fuses and relays replaced, and when I picked it up from Hank this afternoon, he tells me the battery is very low — and I’ll have to find a new one on my own because it’s SPECIAL and he does not carry them. Great. He recommends I call Pep Boys, but to do it immediately, and don’t shut the car off in the mean time or it may not start on its own…
So, Pep Boys in Sunnyvale does not carry my model year’s battery nor do they show a price in the computer, indicating they have never carried it. I should have known to call O’REILLY in Sunnyvale in the first place, but I wasn’t sure they would do the installation for me. Boy, was I wrong!
This is where my frown turned upside down — I called the store and a very cheerful and eager to help voice, who called herself Josephine, said that YES they have my battery in stock and to come on down. I said «and you will install it for me?», and she said YES! I asked the cost of the service, and was told NO CHARGE… I said «huh?». Okay… I was still a little sceptical. Sorry, Josephine… just keepin it real.
When I walked in the door at O’REILLY AUTO PARTS on Matilda, Josie (she prefers Josie) was busy assisting another customer, but she looked up for a moment to spot me and said «Hi — you’re the one who called for the battery.» I was like… whoa. This was just the first of MANY things Josie did to Wow me.
Her installation was spect… yes, I said HER installation… was spectacular. She had her tools in her pocket already before I GOT there, and I have a trunk mounted battery so she was prepared! She hooked up some remembering thing under my dash first, and about 10 minutes later, Josie announced that I was good to go! Well, she also informed me that AUTOZONE had put the wrong AUTOZONE battery in my car, but it’s the battery that was in it when I bought it a year ago so I was unaware. Evidently, this special battery my car takes has a breathing tube or something so it doesn’t suffocate in the trunk, and the old one didn’t have that. Surprised it lasted this long!!!
It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t mention the other contributiting members of the team at O’REILLY, who I can only refer to as that because I didn’t get their names. But one was the manager, I believe, who’s the obvious support which makes his employees kick so much ass. I’m sorry I can’t mention you by name, dude, but you really impressed me today, too. Thank you for being, from what I can see, as the kind of boss anyone would want to have. And Josie… girl, you hit one over the fence today… outta the park! I am beyond being a satisfied customer today… I am a HAPPIER PERSON after my visit to this store. So I will be BACK for those Hello Kitty floor mats.
By the way, could you guys by chance get some of your accessories with RAIDERS logo stuff on it? Cool… thanks!

When it comes to motorcycles — avoid this place. Utterly incompetent.
Four visits and three motorcycle batteries later I gave up on them. They kept arguing with me too about trying to give me batteries twice the size of what I needed. Simply ridiculous. One guy even tried to tell me I couldn’t return a battery but the manager was there and told him to «take care of the customer». 1 extra star for that.
Also avoid the strange old Mexican woman there if you can. Very unpleasant person. Was rude to one of my girlfriends as well.

Called ahead of time to see if an item was in stock, was told there were two and the price was 119.
When I get there I’m told it isn’t in stock and that they have to order it. Then when I start to pay and then noticed the price is actually 152… Seriously? Why tell me it’s 119 and then charge me more? Feels underhanded and sneaky.

Phenomenal customer service, I don’t know too much about cars so I got the wrong parts twice, and the manager went out of his way to help us with the returns and to find the right parts, while the other guys in san jose were lazy and rude.
The manager named Charles, is the guy to go to if you want to feel like you’re cared about as a customer.
Really nice guy, amazing service.

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I knew nothing about cars before I came here. I needed to buy snow chains, and get some windshield wiper wash. I read good reviews about this place and it seemed like they would be the most helpful since I was a newbie at this stuff.
Jeff was the person that helped me out. He was awesome. I asked about what types of snow chains to buy and he went to my car and checked the tires, and found the correct snow chains. He didn’t know how to put them on, but he went ahead to my car to try to put them on to teach me even before I bought the chains! We helped each other and actually taught each other. Now he knows how to put them on, and so do I. :) One thing to note is that snow chains are non-​refundable, but it’s going to snow this weekend so I will end up using it anyways so it’s okay.
After we got that all figured out, I went ahead a purchased it along with the windshield wiper fluid. He helped me bring the chains to my car and actually helped me fill up the fluid for me as well. I never refilled the fluid before and I didn’t even know if it was low or not. He checked everything for me and even brought out a funnel and did it for me.
Since he was so helpful, and I knew NOTHING about cars, I also wanted to ask about my car battery. Jeff went inside to get the reader to test my battery! It ended up being a bad battery, which I kind of already knew, but wanted to make sure since I never checked it. I will be going back to purchase a new battery and they will install it for free, which is awesome.
From knowing NOTHING about cars, I felt like I learned a lot. Jeff was very helpful and he never made me feel stupid for not knowing any of this. I can now put on snow chains by myself (which I didn’t think I would ever be able to do) and refill my windshield wiper fluids. I will also probably learn how to switch out the battery the next time I go.

Came here to get new wiper blades for my windshield and was greeted as I walked in the front door. I mentioned that I needed new wiper blades and they asked for my car year, make and model, then proceeded to tell me the size I needed. They recommended me a brand which had a buy 1 get 1 free offer that day, and the final bill came out to be shy of $ 21.
I saw that they also offered free wiper blade installation, and requested for it. The guy got my wiper blades installed in no time, helped me get rid of my old ones, and got me to test it by spraying some water, just to make sure it was working.
Would highly recommend this place!
