Maple Tree Inn

The hotel is definitely worth staying especially for those looking for a good value hotel. The rooms are clean and seem like its newly renovated. For the value, I was not expecting it to be this awesome. They also provide breakfast and hot beverages are constantly served throughout the day. Kudos to Maple Tree Inn!

Absolutely wonderful stay!
Traveling with babies is no easy task as every parent knows. After a long road trip we were hoping that if we paid a little extra we could check in early at the hotel and be able to rest with the children. the front desk staff at the Maple Tree Inn went above and beyond. She was able to get us a room on the 1^st floor near the exit, close to the breakfast bar, and most important was able to check us in at NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!
the accommodations are not what you expect when you drive past the busy street. the beds are clean and comfortable, the facilities are clean and spacious.
the continental breakfast was just delicious! eggs, bacon, and a fresh made waffle. what else could you ask for? Oh yeah HOT FRESH COFFEE! :) they had it all!
the trip to the Pac12 championship game could not have been a successful trip with out the stay at this hotel. not to mention that they are only 4 – 5 miles away from Levi Stadium.
We are now planning a trip to San Francisco and we plan to stay at the Maple Tree Inn.

Not bad for a three star hotel. The rooms are clean. They have nice toiletries in the bathroom. Wonderful gluten free options at the free continental breakfast including miso soup, dried seaweed, pickled daikon, Jimmy Dean sausages and sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and orange juice.

Can’t think of a thing that I wasn’t impressed by. Room was great. morning breakfast was bountiful and good. All day free coffee hit the spot. Location was convenient. Staff was friendly. Free wifi was good. Hotel was modern and super clean. Free parking. I even liked the birds in the lobby. I’d highly recommend this to anyone needing a place to stay in the area. Great value for the price and when I come back, I’ll definitely be booking my room here.

What a great little hotel! Our company just hosted a summit here this week and a large portion of us stayed here. From the moment we got there on Monday, the front desk was helpful and accommodating. Also lots of snacks provided! The rooms were immaculate and brand new, you totally don’t expect it from passing on the street.
Breakfast was an actual hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, etc. You don’t see that a lot from non high end places anymore.
Wonderful stay and nothing negative to say. Definitely recommend for anyone traveling for business or company meetings/​events.

One night stop over in Sunnyvale. For the price, this place is awesome. Fresh, clean, quiet with a great staff and an easy location. I would definitely stay here again if I need a one or two night stop.

When I was looking to find places «near» Standford Hospital, this came up as one of the 3 they recommended via their page. If you call directly, you can indeed, get the medical rate which is significantly lower than the quotes on the webpage. That aside…
It’s a clean, well maintained, friendly staffed hotel. The room faced the pool which at times was a bit loud with people in the hottub but they did go away and it didn’t last into the night. If you wanted super quiet room, get one towards the back, not facing the pool.
Staff was accommodating and friendly upon check in. They pointed us to some nearby restaurants. Even had a print-​out. Found an awesome Thai restaurant next to the Fish Market that was pretty authentic. Not far and priced fairly.
Do not get a room near the stairs. They way you go up to the 2^nd floor is thru a door? Sounds odd but it’s not a clear walk to some parts of the 2^nd floor. If you get a room near those type of doors, good luck to you. All you’ll hear is shutting of that connecting door. Otherwise, it’s nice.
Room was clean, smelled but not musty? Smelled clean I guess is my best answer. The bathroom was fine. They did have some boutique type shampoos and handsoaps that were not standard fare.
Breakfast was actually good. Nothing extravagant. Typical for most places. American style (cereal, coffee, some fruit, yogurt and waffles) but they also had an Asian option. Vegetables, cups of soup and rice. That was interesting as I’d opt for the veggies and protein options like hard-​boiled eggs which they had plenty of ready to be eaten. Coffee and juice were plentiful.
As far as being close to Stanford. It’s not. 17 miles away makes it a 30 minute jaunt. Even without any traffic, it’s 28 minutes at 60mph. So it you have somebody staying in the hospital, this isn’t the hotel to stay at if you plan on visiting multiple times a day (in and out). But if you need a place to stay that isn’t a bank breaker with a discount, this is the place. I thought about switching many times to places 5 miles or less away but it would cost an extra $ 200 a night easily; no discounts; and none of them had any type of breakfast more than a typical continental. So there are some benefits to the MapleTree Inn that aren’t obvious at first sight.
Around the hotel if you have family staying who won’t be at the hospital all the time, it’s a great location. Lots of grocery stores, places to eat, Starbucks, car washes, Best Buy, etc. Nice area and easy access to almost any freeway for a quick trip elsewhere.

They loot customer by charging lot of money. Bad customer service

Before I even arrived at the Maple Tree Inn, I spoke with the hotel staff and was pleasantly surprised by their genuine concern in helping me with my reservations and later questions regarding amenities. When we arrived we were greeted with amazing staff that made us feel like family. I was holding off submitting my review until I got the names of certain staff but as my stay continued I realized that all of the staff we encountered went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Because of that I am not able to say one person made our stay relaxing and enjoyable but ALL of the staff were fun and friendly. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. I slept well. This place is a jewel. I will definitely recommend the Maple Tree Inn to friends and family and will certainly be back. Thank you Maple Tree Inn for a wonderful weekend.

First time staying here for an overnight business trip. Usually stay at Hilton properties as they are closer to my work location. Also, I did not know about this hotel previously. I stayed here due to location, price and other feedback. I was not disappointed. The staff was great, the room was very nice (clean and quiet, everything worked) and breakfast was very good with a nice selection. Check-​out was a breeze. I have already updated my administrator that I would like to stay here on future trips to the area (several times a year). I did not attend the evening managers reception so I cannot comment on that. Nice job Maple Tree Inn Staff!

I wasn’t sure how to rate this, it isn’t a 4 – 5 star hotel, but as far as a Unilocal goes, it’s a 4. Polite staff, accommodating. I had a moldy smell in my first room and requested a move and they took me to two other rooms and let me choose. No smells in the current room. Clean, crisp sheets; soft towels, regular toiletries, nice shower. A really nice breakfast with regular breakfast meat and scrambled eggs; miso soup and rice; veggie tray and hummus; fruit either peaches or berry blend; assortment of muffins, pastries, bagels, long john, English muffins, toast; Belgium waffle with syrups, whip cream; coffee/​tea; and apple or orange juice. Seemed to always be a packed breakfast room all week. I was very comfortable and I will use this hotel again when I travel here for business.

Stayed one night for a business trip. We thought it would be closer to the airport – probably 20 minutes away. Had a room on the first floor and looked like it had been recently renovated, so everything was nice. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. They offer a free breakfast in the morning, which is what brought the review down for me. The pancake dispenser was broken and the eggs were not edible. They did have coffee, juices, fruits and pastries. The staff was friendly. It is located on a busy street, but it’s close to markets and some stores, which is helpful. Overall, a great stay, just need to improve the breakfast.

Wonderful accomodations, they do it better than the big guys, nice breakfast spread, clean rooms and friendly staff. Book well in advance for a good rate. Walking distance to at least 20 restaurants.

Very nice clean Inn with many amenities for the best price in this area from San Jose to Palo Alto. Has everything you need plus a nice happy hour and more choices at breakfast than others. Lovely larger pool area with lots of seating. Quite and lots of parking. Checked many hotels in this area before choosing the Maple Tree for getting the most for your money and quality.

Not a bad place to stay but not 4 star either. The rooms have been renovated and are nice and clean. The carpets in the hallways are filthy. The front desk staff could not be nicer. They really do a fabulous job accommodating special requests. Great happy hour and breakfast.

Well the rooms are very nice the breakfast was very good and they have this nice pool with the hot tub and then they have this fireplace right next to the pool its really nice and I finally find my lost bag so that’s make me to change my view about them the manager Barbara she really help so in future I would love to stay there and thank you again for finding my bag

Nice rooms, beautiful fragrant flowers in the lobby, pool and hot tub. Much, much nicer than I expected for the price. Fridge, microwave, usual blow dryer and iron. And a large umbrella, glow sticks and a manually lit flashlight for emergencies. Nice shampoo, soaps and lotions. Beds are very comfortable with nice cotton linens.

I’ve stayed here twice now. Great rooms, great service, great value and delicious breakfast.

Found out that this pet-​friendly hotel no longer accepts cats. Screw them then! We stayed here before only because they welcomed our cats. With upcoming renovations to our home, this place was at the top of our list.
Now it’s crossed off the list!
Their loss, we’ll stay somewhere else.
