I can’t say enough nice things about the two who run this groomer shop, Sanchia and Cheeto. They’re kind-​hearted people who genuinely enjoy working with dogs, and their prices are amazing for the quality of work. I’ve been taking my dog here for two years, and I definitely suggest giving Canine Showcase a try!

Our pup usually HATES the groomers. He runs for his life once he realizes where he is. They must do something right at Canine Showcase because he shows no such emotions. Based on my experience, the owners are friendly and I’ve had no bad experience in terms of customer service. The Bay Area seems to be becoming a haven for entitled a-​holes so I can see how it can be frustrating to provide quality customer service all the time if you’re in the services industry.

I love these people! My dog is a special needs dog and they are absolutely wonderful with him. They always do a great job. Sometimes the owner’s husband helps and he is so sweet and gentle with the dogs. I come from San Jose, so it is not close, but it is worth it to me because I trust them with my dog. I highly recommend them.

Went here for the first time recently. They were very nice. The haircut/​bath/​nail trim was fine. BUT one of the services was the gland expression. When I asked if it was done, they said yes, but there wasn’t a lot. A week later my dog was scooting his but and I had to take him to the vet to have to done. It was another $ 30 and the vet said he was FULL. Wasn’t that the part of the fee the week before at CC? That was frustrating.

THE BEST grooming of my adopted Pomeranian’s entire ten yr life, I’m pretty sure. And they didn’t make him stay in cage after they finished grooming him, he had the fun of scurrying around all over the shop floor and playing with the other perfectly coiffed poochies!

This review is for Monica at Canine Showcase. She handstrips our Norwich Terrier and is awesome at it. She actually does a better job than the breeder because Monica also styles the dog too — for example, uses scissors to trim the hair instead of pulling out all of it and making it so thin. So she knows how to achieve a better, overall look. I would highly recommend her to fellow Norwich and Norfolk owners. I am giving one less star because of the venue — they do not take card and it’s really messy and seemingly dirty and there’s always blood around from nails being cut a bit too short.

Love this place! They’ve always done a wonderful job and really make sure that I am one happy customer every time!

I brought Swankie in for a shave at the spur of the moment after boarding. I am grateful that Toni, the groomer, alerts me of the cut on her front paw and provides home remedy to rectify the issue prior to making an appointment with the veterinarian.
This is the most attentive and caring grooming venue that I have ever experienced.

My puppy got a great haircut from Monica, and she had a good time playing with other dogs while waiting her turn.

We have used Canine Showcase for over a year now and cannot be more pleased with their grooming services for our small dog, Dolce. They take care of any special instructions and do a thorough job at all times. Their services are highly recommended.

Canine Showcase has a new groomer named Monica. I brought my large Samoyed dog to her last week for a bath and nail trim, and he came home beautifully groomed. She obviously knows her breeds and how to groom them. The prices are very reasonable, too.

My dog Murphy was brought to Canine Showcase twice for grooming. Murphy is a rescue dog, who was taken away by animal control from some bad people. I’ve had him for 4 months, and he has a very sweet disposition and has really started to open up and get comfortable. Though he can get nervous in certain situations, like dog grooming.
The first time, it was a wash plus a trim around his eyes so he could see better. When he was dropped off at Canine Showcase, they were told about Murphy’s situation, and to take care with him around other dogs. Obviously a dog like this would need to be treated gently. Well, apparently it didn’t go well. Whoever was washing and brushing him was too rough with him. I believe the owner mentioned that the combs can be painful, and Murphy didn’t react well and bit the lady who was hurting him. However, when Murphy was picked up, we were told he didn’t like having his nails trimmed, so he tried to bite the lady. So they made a note in his file not to trim his nails. But I don’t know which was the issue now– nails or the comb – since it was a different story from different people.
The second time Murphy was brought in, it was for a wash and trim. They were told not to trim his ears at all, and to just trim his fur in the front, and not in the back. His ears were the cutest thing about him. Well, they didn’t follow any instructions. Murphy’s hair was cut short all over, and his ears had a blunt cut.

What was most disappointing about this entire experience was the bad customer service from the owner. At first I was impressed that she took the time to reach out because she heard I wasn’t happy with his haircut. But when we talked on the phone, she immediately started the conversation by telling me how bad my dog was on his first visit.
I’m sorry, I thought you were calling me to apologize because you didn’t follow my instructions for how to cut his hair?!?
But no, instead you want to tell me that he bit you during a previous appointment? But that this appointment you had someone who was «more gentle» groom him. That’s a direct quote. More gentle.
Ok…well I would have hoped you would always have someone gently handling my dog during grooming. But ok, let’s move on.
The reason I was calling was because you didn’t follow instructions. So I paid for a service that you didn’t deliver. And your response is (1) no apology, (2) your dog was bad the previous time he came here (3) we can make a note in your file.
What is the point of putting a note in his file about the way I requested his hair to be cut, if you don’t follow any of my requests to begin with?!? I already made a request for how to cut his hair and it was ignored.
Terrible customer service. Terrible job on the haircut. I’m surprised at how this business owner stays in business with how she treats her customers.

GM Unilocalers. Mine started off quite the opposite. I don’t think I’ve ever given a bad review but this is most definitely deserving and I am obliged to share.
I received a call back from a disgruntled man who claimed to be Sanchia’s (owner) husband. I pulled that from him in the middle of being reprimanded. I didn’t even know he existed until today! Nice to meet you.
I had left a message to ask for a specific haircut for one of the dogs. The dogs (2) have been going to Canine Showcase for over 5 yrs-​on a weekly basis. There have been some hiccups on BOTH the groomer’s and my household’s part but, I THOUGHT we worked through them. Boy, was I wrong.
Being a loyal customer, we continued taking the dogs there mostly because they are near and Sanchia was especially good with one of the dogs.
Apparently, we were being offered services at a slightly discounted price. I had no idea so thanks for yelling it to me?!!
Perhaps, this ticked off the man even more? Who knows why he woke up mad.
He definitely called to chew me out rather than have a normal conversation with the intent to find a solution with a long-​time customer. Hi, customer service! He stated that dealing with us has been the biggest headache and doesn’t even know why Sanchia keeps dealing with us. Gee, thanks?
This was the first time any of these hostile feelings were brought to my attention. It’s really too bad Sanchia, the person who I thought I had a rapport with, didn’t express her true feelings. Perhaps we could have come to a conclusion in a much more civil way.
To end things right, this man’s proposed solution was to take our services elsewhere. Nothing like a professional to provide great service and guide you through some alternative options!
Good luck with the customer service, Unilocalers. And, don’t you dare ask for a specific haircut on the day of your appointment or you may just receive a phone call from a random disgruntled man.

Not only did my dog sit in a small cage all day with no water or potty breaks, when I picked her up she was not done and I was told it would be another 20 minutes. And to top it all off, she came home with fleas!

We’ve used canine showcase for a couple years now for our two cocker spaniels. Generally pretty good — not amazing — but they get in, bathed, hair cut, and back home. Good option compared to the doggy salons that are around.

Terrific place, our little Lola came out looking so white and smelling fresh. They even gave her a cute accessory on her collar. The owner was so nice and you can tell her passion is with animals!

Outstanding place! The only place I’ll take my joey and pepper! Thank you! They made time to do an awesome cut on both my babies! The owner is a great example of great customer service!

My first visit was not bad at all, the woman who trimmed our puppy did a great job and she only charged us $ 28. She talked me through what she was going to do before I left and what she did when I came to pick up.
I brought our puppy in for the exact same services four weeks later. The same person was not there but someone new who did not spend any time with me but just took my dog and when I tried asking questions about the cut was cut off (no pun intended) and was rushed out. 2 ½ hours later I was called and told that my puppy was ready for pick up. My pup did not look brushed, hair was cut uneven on his face (I even pointed this out), his paws… I don’t even know how to describe how horrible they look. Thank goodness I have a super cute puppy! Oh and four weeks later for the exact same service my new total was $ 45!
I will not be returning…

We had been coming to Canine Showcase for year or two, getting our Yorkshire groomed every couple months for $ 50 each visit.
At first, we thought the service was fine. They always seemed to be busy with so many dogs, but at the same time they did accommodate our same-​day request. Nonetheless, they did a decent job. Lately, we have been noticing some alarming things.
One, our dog has NEVER had fleas. EVER. Until we got her after a grooming session which was full of dogs and a few days later we discovered she was infested with them. We took care of the incident immediately, and tried to give Canine Showcase the benefit of the doubt. So, we continued going there.
Then, we noticed our dog’s haircut was completely uneven, and the quality of the work seemed rushed and poor. Even through this, we still tried to be okay with it and continued to go, but then our dog got an ear infection. Our dog has NEVER EVER had an ear infection before. When I came to pick up my dog the last time, I saw the groomer pluck and pull something out of her ears as my dog Unilocaled and cried. I thought it was weird, but I figured she must be a professional so whatever. Then we discovered the ear infection. This was the last straw.
Having said that– we will no longer be taking our dog here anymore. Enough is enough. I think for $ 50 for our 8 lb dog, we deserve better services and treatment. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere moving forward.

We took our dog here because we had to reschedule our appt at our regular grooming place. Not impressed with his cut. We specifically asked that his face be cut short but it was still left a little long and uneven. For the cost of his cut I would not be taking him back here again.
