Bruce Schwartz, DDS

A great dentist. He has all the good qualities a doctor should possess say patience, perfection and organized way of doing varied kinds of dental procedures. I went to him to fix my crowns that were not done properly before by another dentist. I was very impressed and highly satisfied by the way he was so perfect and accurate in doing bite corrections after replacing my crowns.
It’s very worth mentioning about his nurse/​receptionist, Jill. She is a very calm and helpful lady.
I am very glad to have Dr. Schwartz as my family dentist
and would surely recommend him to my friends.

Dr. Schwartz if very nice, very meticulous and puts you at ease. His receptionist is also very nice. A clean quiet office and the doctor himself cleans your teeth. I have only good things to say about Dr. Schwartz.

The best. His office is simple and not fancy. Because his focus is treating patients. As a person who suffered so many dental problems, finding him was the best thing I’ve had in my troubled dental history.

You’d be hard pressed to find a more thorough, intelligent, patient centered approach to dental care than Dr. Schwartz’s two person office. He and his assistant Jill have been working together for over 20 years and have the tag teaming down to a science. A childhood dental trauma plagued patient, I have been seeing him since 1992 and cannot recommend him nearly enough. It’s easy to get an appointment, they do your insurance billing for you, and the care is always honest and exceptionally provided. You might think that times, economics — or the new wave of oversized veneer chicklet smiles would change his approach to one more centered on profit than care but such is not the case. Truncate your search. There isn’t any need to search further until AFTER you’ve tried Dr. Schwartz.

He’s a very good doctor. Examines and identifies your issue perfectly and he cleans your teeth thoroughly on every visit. Jill is also very good and has such a good memory. They are a perfect team. I’ve been going to them for about 4 years now and have not had any issue at all.

My family has been going to Dr. Bruce Schwartz for 30 years. He has a wonderful staff person named Jill that couldn’t be nicer. They are both caring and do a great job. We come from the east bay to see him and it is a 40 minute drive on a good day. Pass many other dentists along the way, but would not go anywhere else.

After going through a myriad of terrible dentists in my early 20’s I was so relieved when a friend recommended to me Dr. Schwartz.
Dr. Schwartz and his nurse/​receptionist, Jill, run a very small two-​man operation and I really like it that way. I prefer that all my procedures are done by a dentist; I’ve had terrible luck with dental hygienists in the past and I’d rather not deal with one again, if I can help it.
Jill is really cool and friendly and makes you feel at home. I don’t know if she has a great memory, or if she really cares — I suspect the latter– but she always seems to remember what’s going on with you and your life and can recall conversations from the last time you were there.
Dr. Schwartz is nice, but all business; I like it. He has to be the most competent & confident dentist I’ve ever dealt with, and believe me I’ve dealt with more than a few quacks. He gets down and handles his business – like a boss!
The best part is they make going to the dentist no big deal and I actually look forward to going in and catching up with them.

I found Dr. Schwartz on Unilocal,in 2008, soon after I moved to California. I just wanted a second opinion, because a dentist in Palo Alto told me I needed $ 2000 worth of dental work including 1 root canal and 2 crowns!
I didn’t believe her so I went to Dr. Schwartz after I read some good reviews here. And Dr. Schwartz told me, after a thorough examination, that «maybe I don’t know how to make money, but there is only a minor filling needed.» The tooth showed some shadowed area, which means the decay was just getting started. So needless to say, I walked away happily with a painless filling.
Ever since then, my whole family go to Dr. Schwartz and I have never had any tooth problems!
Dr. Schwartz does not strike me as an almost sales persona that is so common in most dentists nowadays. Rather, he is very real and maintains a curious mind. My daughter has a «special» tooth that has a rare shape, and Dr. Schwartz explained in details what it is and different scenarios and treatment plans as she grows. He even showed me his textbook where the condition of this tooth is explained.
I now moved to eastbay, but I faithly drive to Sunnyvale to see Dr. Schwartz and won’t let another dentist touch my teeth :)

My family has been seeing Dr. Schwartz for about 4 years. It’s not easy to find a good dentist. My wife feared going the dentist until we found him. Dr. Schwartz is straightforward and considerate. He does great work and Jill manages the appointments well.

I told Dr. Schwartz that I had some dental anxiety and wanted to make sure that he was careful cleaning my teeth; he could not have been more careless. He damaged one of my gums near one of my upper molars to the point where every time I flossed that tooth for the next 7-​months it would significantly bleed after. I cannot and will never recommend Dr. Schwartz, STAY AWAY.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schwartz since he’s been in the Remington office (sometime around 1980). As another person mentioned, he is a very good dentist and when I need a nerve-​blocking injection he works to minimize the «sting». Jill is great and very responsive to my inquiries. Since Jill is the dental assistant/​nurse/​front office person, you might need to leave a message on their vmail, but she’ll get back to you shortly.
I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Schwartz and Jill!

The dental work was good. The office is poorly run — it took 2 calls to get treatment plans or bills. When frustrated, the dentist gets impatient and rude. I’m a dental-​phobic, and when my anxiety made me tense, he responded with hostility and impatience, which made it worse. There was little follow-​up and it was obvious that they were trying to drive me away as a patient — they succeeded. I’ve never had such rude treatment. I needed another crown and a filling, and no effort was made to schedule time; even though I’d been told that’s what was needed at the first visit (which was great), when I asked what I needed next after one crown was done, he said that there was nothing needed. I don’t recommend this dentist unless you’re sure he’ll like you. I pay my bills promptly, am on time for appointments — so that’s not the issue. I don’t know what was, but I’m not going back. Don’t expect caring service here — you may not get it.

I have been a patient for 20+ years. (my parents and grandparents were patients) There was one short period of time when I didn’t have medical/​dental coverage and due to an emergency, I was forced to go to Western Dental. WD was a nightmare! When I got my coverage back, I went back to Dr Schwartz and he fixed what WD had done. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Dr Schwartz’s office is clean! He has the magic touch when it comes to getting the numbing injection, Jill has always been so pleasant and accommodating to my schedule. I live in Hayward but I do not mind driving to Sunnyvale, they are worth it! Especially now when I see what my boyfriend has to deal with having his HMO and garbage selection in dental offices.
By the way, I’ve had a lot of dental work done and I have never had any problems/​complaints.
