Bob’s Discount Liquors

I don’t come here for greetings. I don’t come here for cheap prices. Its a liquor store like fu##. Some of these reviewers are the reason I drink smh.
I come here because they are walking distance from my house and they have what I want, drankkkkk.

WARNING: DO NOT BUY BEER HERE.
This was going to be and probably should be a 1-​star review, but I try to reserve that for the worst of the worst.
My bud and I went there to pick up some beer and he pulled out two six packs while I pulled out a bomber from a few fridges down. We both looked down and realized that the cardboard and all the beers had MOLD on them. A huge health hazard.
As for the rest of the store, it looked alright. I really didn’t walk around considering we walked right out after our hands were defiled.
Another note, we weren’t greeted or even acknowledged, but I’ll let that slide because the person there was dealing with the UPS guy.
Disappointed, I really did want that Hanger 24 Double Wheat =\

Large selection of alcohol Plenty of parking! Plenty of beers in the coolers! Also have a lotto sand scratchers! Over all nice store!
But prices are really high! Also customer service was bad! Person behind the counter was rude and had an attitude! Seemed like he was in a rush!
Next time I will go to bevmo much cheaper than Bob’s discount liquor!

They had Some really cool beanies and other Little trinkets here & there that I liked. It is in the hood or part of the hood of San Jose, nonetheless it’s a pretty cool liquor store

After reading all the glowing reviews, I had to stop by myself since I was looking for a bottle of Henessey for a discount price.
Lots of parking, sells lottery tickets, large selection of alcohol, but the prices were much higher than BevMo. I even asked the guy behind the counter if the price listed was their best price available hoping he’d ask me where I saw a lower price. Nope.
So I bolted and headed to BevMo where I found what I wanted at a competitive price almost $ 3 less than what Bob’s was asking.

Bobs is where it’s at. Me and my boys pulled about our 12^th bottle of ciroc for a crazy $ 25 which is the cheapest around the hood. The people here are legit. they’ll help you and bring down to a smaller price if possible. Its a tradition to hit this spot up for pregaming before we hit up the club. I’m born and raised across this spot and I’ve lived here all my life. This is the neighborhood liquor store people’s.

You won’t find a better liquor store around. Not only is Junior a great friendly guy, but their prices beat everyone else. Junior is a nice guy, and always willing to help with suggestions, selections, sharing what he knows, etc. Plus, they have a great selection, and if he doesn’t have, he’s willing to get it for you. You can’t go wrong with Bob’s Discount Liquors!

This is a great liquor store. Bob’s has lots of booze all over the store (beer, wine, and hard stuff). The prices were good and comparable to other large liquor stores in the area (ex: Prestige Liquors). There are a few (5 or less) varieties of cigars displayed on the counter too.
The scratchers are under the glass counter by the cash register. There is also a small display of $ 1 scratchers on the counter, beside the register. They have $ 5, $ 3, $ 2, $ 1 scratchers. There are, at least, two or more game types for each denomination.

Not your average liquor store. Great microbrewer beer selection and better prices than most places including Bevmo. The guys that run it are really nice and very knowledgeable when it comes to alcohol.
I was in there yesterday buying some Stone IPA and Racer 5 IPA and they asked me if there was anything else I was looking for that they didn’t have? I was impressed by this. You don’t often encounter a liquor store asking for input with regards to selection. At any rate I asked for them to continue to stock ‘Pliny the Elder’ as that is a hard beer to find right now and their price is the best I’ve seen.
All in all a quality establishment.

Feels like a pretty standard liquor store. Without Safeway now, the local beverage selection is predicated to this in the shopping center and the Bazaar around the corner. Your usual liquor, soda, and other convenience items.

Nothing special here, just came in with my girlfriend before we were heading out to Santa Cruz and wanted to grab a drink and some cigarettes. Also picked up some coconut m&m’s, yummm.
The store layout is kinda whack, no real candy isles just put in the front, but they do have a fridge wall packed full of alcohol. Easy access I guess. The indian man watching the front was pretty funny, even shared a laugh with us cracking jokes about Limon and that spicy mexican candy flake thing, lol.
Not my usual basic pick up place, but if i’m in Cam Hung and needed something, I’ll be sure to hit this place up.

They now have a new store in Sunnyvale on Wolfe Ave. Again, SO nice. Say HI to JR for me!
JUNE 2012 SHiva and Bob are no longer there. They sold the place to Bob’s cousin. I have not been in yet so I will post how friendly they are when I go in next time.

This place is what a neighborhood liquor store oughta be. If you live in Sunnyvale, get your booze here! The guys who work here are super nice and very knowledgeable… none of that bored convenience store clerk syndrome here. The people working here 1. like people and 2. like booze and that makes all the difference. Alcohol is a hobby for them so they’d be happy to recommend you stuff or just talk shop. It’s awesome. HUGE selection, too.

I wasn’t really in here for very long but from what I noticed about Bob’s Discount Liquors are that the prices aren’t too shabby and they have a wide variety of alcoholic beverages (DUH! They’re a liquor store). Like most liquor stores, they also sell lotto tickets and scratchers. Drinking and gambling go hand in hand together. I came in here to buy a Mega Millions ticket (200 million bucks for the winner). Lotto winners seem to win out of a «hole in the wall» type liquor stores. I’m hoping that I win something from this store! Let’s see if this puts Sunnyvale back on the map!
The aisles are clean and the inside was also well lit. The guy that was working behind the counter was also super nice. It is located on Wolfe but you’ll pass by it because their sign isn’t well lit. You can check out my one picture to see how the sign is lit.
You can park in the vast parking spaces shared by other businesses. The Safeway is not there anymore so the parking lot is usually empty. Stop by for your drinking needs!
