Our techs conduct inspections with full knowledge of all automotive vehicles’ computers and emissions systems to ensure high quality services to all of our customers.

We avoid making mistakes many other stations make, such as not properly warming up before testing or making errors with equipment, both of which can cause a car to fail smog check.

This is a Star certified test only station. we only do smog check, smog test, bi-​annual renewal, gross polluter, out of state vehicles. Our goal is simple; complete the smog within 15 minutes and have you back on the road again.

The Groupon and Unilocal ad is misleading! Nothing in their ad says additional fees for a diesel engine. The guy is asking me to pay $ 60 (instead of the deal price of $ 29) since I have a Diesel engine. I asked what the difference is between a diesel and gas engine smog check and the technician doesn’t know. Apparently, the test station owner told him to charge $ 60 for diesel engine cars with no explanation. So disappointing and a waste of my time! I asked the technician to call the owner but he declined. I’ll have to bring my car to my dealership to make sure it’s done right and trustworthy.

This place looks like a run down place, but don’t be fooled by the look! I got my smog check done within 15mins. Fou Sio was friendly, professional, and efficient, and there is free WIFI! Remember to mention the Unilocal check in offer to get the great price. I’m glad to find this place.

Great, quick and Ben was very personable. Pricing was simple and straight forward clear: $ 28ish + std $ 8ish reporting fee to the dmv. No tricky add-​on pricing. Definitely recommend. I’m a novice and not familiar w/​California smog laws so relieved it was relatively pain free.

I chose this place based on the 5 star reviews. I arrived around 230 pm on a rainy Tuesday. No wait. $ 28.75 with Unilocal check in plus certificate = $ 37. Only took 15 minutes. Don’t hesitate.

Oh, the hassles of moving to a new state. Before you hit up DMV, hit up Ben’s to get your car all smog check passed and the like. Because seriously, you don’t want to go to DMV first to register and find out you have to come to DMV a second time.
On a Friday at noon, only two cars in front of me. 30 minutes, in and out. Check in on Unilocal to get the deal (or print out the coupon from their website). $ 28 plus certification = $ 36 total. And they send the info electronically to DMV.
Free wi-​fi, and some sweet tunes to pass the time.

My dad, Edwin, bought his car in for a smog check and when he got back home, he couldn’t stop raving about this place! Fou Sio was efficient and friendly. My dad loves finding deals and I think he found himself a gem. I just had to post on his behalf to thank Mr. Chao for being so awesome :)

Came here for a smog 10 min before closing and the dude said lets get it passed and get outta here. I didn’t blame him considering it was Friday and that was the last thing I wanted to do after a long work week.
Note to self: come in 10 min before closing for my next smog :)

My car registration renewal notice came with a smog check requirement. I waited until the last minute and then scampered around on Unilocal to find a smog test center. The first hit was Ben’s Smog Check center. With 5 stars it was a no-​brainier. But I wasn’t sure if I needed to take an appointment. So I called, and was told I did not have to. I could drop in right away and walk out within 15 – 20 minutes. And that is exactly what I did. I am not sure what was the name of the guy who helped me, but he was a thorough professional and very polite. After the test was done (my car PASSED!) he asked if I had a discount coupon. When I said no, he still gave me a discount since it was my first time with them. Isn’t that cool!
The facility seems very well-​equipped. The people working there are all very professional and polite. You can drop-​in anytime, even on a Sunday! And you get done in 20 minutes.
I wish I could give them more stars!

Called at 430pm on a Monday afternoon to see if I could take my car in for a smog check. When I got there, I only waited about 15 minutes for the person before me, and then it was about another 10 minutes for my car to be done!
Super fast, efficient, and I was also told that my record would be sent to DMV to help expedite my process for getting my car licensed here.

I gotta admit, when I saw the all the 5-​star reviews for this place, I was pretty surprised and a little skeptical. I mean, seriously, how good can a smog check test only station be?
Well, by golly this place was great. I came on a weekend afternoon without an appointment, and there were a couple people ahead of me. Ben (I assume that’s his name) graciously said that he could accommodate me, and I expected to be waiting for about an hour. Less than 30 minutes later I was driving off. He also charged me a lower price than what he had initially quoted me — and the original price was considerably less than a couple other test only places that I had called before settling on this one. I would have happily paid the original price.
So yes, Ben’s Smog Check is deserving of every one of its 5-​star ratings. And I’m saying this not just because my ’99 Toyota passed its inspection.

Need a smog check for my car. Came there 15 minutes after they open (walk in), I was the first person so therefore, it took me less than 10 minutes and I’m out. Very quick and fast service.
They are open 7 days a week 8:30am — 6:00pm.

I was in need of a Smog check for my Silver Bullet, Civic. Since my go-​to Smog check dude relocated, I consulted beloved Unilocal to help me find another Smog checker.
Found Ben and couldn’t be happier. His station is easy to find on W. Evelyn Ave. There’s even free Wi-​Fi, but not really needed since he’s super fast and efficient. Think I was at Ben’s for no more than 15 minutes. Be sure to call ahead and make an appointment and use the Unilocal check-​in deal and not the Groupon.
Great, fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Hit up Ben for your smog check needs.
He also gave me a great referral to a car repair shop.

Fast, efficient and friendly service.
I came in for a quick smog test. The guy who was conducting the test was very fast and efficient with his work. I was having my late lunch at that time and he was kind enough to let me eat at his office desk and let me finish my food and did not rush me even though he’s done with the smog test.

I was searching for a STAR Test Smog for my S2000 and found Ben’s Smog searching through Unilocal and craigslist. They were super fast and professional all for only $ 35 out the door. I would highly recommend coming here for your next smog test.

I stopped by with an appointment and was so easy. I was embarrassed that I left my DMV smog/​renewal paperwork on my desk at work. Thankfully I didn’t need to go back to the office. Shawn was so helpful. He scanned my car, plugged in an electronic item and measured the smog with the car running. I was done in about 15 minutes. They didn’t use any of the old school smog tool that goes into the tailpipe. Oh, and we didn’t need to rev the car either! That’s a total bonus. The coupon on the website plus cert fees were $ 35 total.
I highly recommend Ben’s Smog Check to all my friends and fellow Unilocalers! I will definitely bring my other car here when it’s due for smog.
