I hesitated on this review because at first I figured I’d wait until the next time I go to see if they mess up this badly again since I had been there once and everything went well enough. This second visit though… I pointed out all the scratches and dents left by a cyclists hit and run. I gave them the estimate with all the pictures of all the dents and scratches given to me by my insurance company. I remember specifically kneeling down in the rain to point out this dent on the bottom of the door. I’m told that by Monday I’ll be called and told it’s in the finishing stage. Apparently it was in inspection from Monday to Tuesday, then Wednesday I picked it up. They bring it to me… and I see this dent on the bottom of the left passenger door. «Oh sorry we missed it. Have a rental on us while we fix this» Ok. Sure. They also said they would give it a detailing. Though I had just gotten one for $ 300, I said sure whatever. It’s been a few weeks since. Two days later I get my car back. Next day I realize they did not put my window back properly and it wouldn’t roll down so I had to go back. Next few days I noticed the polish they gave me is just terrible. Swirl marks everywhere visible in direct light. They pretty much undid the detailing I got before then. It took two more weeks of looking at that terrible polish before I decided to write this review.

This place is top notch! I found Anchor Auto via Unilocal and I’m glad I chose this place for my repairs! Mark was my contact. He’s professional, knowledgeable and very nice too. The shop called to let me know how things were progressing. My car looked great when I picked it up. You won’t be disappointed!

This is hilarious. Before I reply, what about the other stuff?
Scratched paint wth voids, eggshell, spots, etc.
Broken parking light that wasn’t even part of the repair
Stereo controls no longer working
Unbalanced wheel/​tire
Low pressure in tire when returned
Missing spare tire and lug key
Had to go back 4 separate times. all for different stuff
Door bottom piece not secured because missing pins
Replacement pins that are cheap, if even replaced
Parts put together in wrong order, so covers below engine were all wrong (ask my mechanic – I’ll provide ref when asked – they’re on Unilocal)
2500 estimate, turning into 5500 bill
2 week turnaround, turning to 3 weeks, and that’s before going back 4 more times.
Going against what I asked – not to go to wheel techniques — ok you subbed it out, but aren’t you responsible since you contracted their work?
Going to my insurance company – when I asked them about warranty work. I can call them anytime – why would I need you to? Especially when I asked about warranty work?
Do you even listen to your customers?
Onto the reply:
Tom knew about my wheel at the time – he offered to pay me for a brand new wheel, knowing that it was already bad and losing air. Cuz him and Al fucked up.
I told him I would shop around and get back to him. It took me that long to find something – I suffered in the meantime, trying to find replacements.
He knows this. My insurance company knows this and it’s all reflected in my reviews and comments – made immediately after.
There was new damage – yes – but the root cause is the repaired wheel which was weak — there were 8 flat spots on this one repaired wheel while the 3 others were fine.
Tom acknowledged this at the time. Now he conveniently forgets.
You guys definitely suck with your work, warranty and customer service. I’ll be sure to pass along my review to my insurance company.

Great service and amazing job. Replaced door on my Honda pilot. very nice people, clear communication: what and when can be completed. Finally the result is above any expectations: installation, paint job is top notch. Guys fixed me couple of dents, even without asking me, for no charge! Really impressed.

I brought in my brand new BMW 328i to be repaired after I was backed into in a parking lot. From start to finish my experience was nothing but smooth and pleasant. Their office is clean, welcoming, and everyone I spoke with seemed extremely organized. They had my car complete in less time than initially quoted, it was immaculately clean, and the work looks flawless. I will happily bring my car back to Anchor Auto Body if the need should ever arise.

I would recommend this shop to all my close friends. I’m been there twice. All the staffs at the body shop are great and both times I worked with Ted. He has taken care all aspects: from my rental to keeping me updated with the status. Everything was smooth. Quality of work is AWESOME.

It was very good experience with Anchor, not only they provided good service to my car but also they make sure that I get pick-​up and drop to my rental car shop. They have a nice and clean waiting area.

I have taken my cars to Anchor Body Shop too many times over the years but have always had excellent service. They are thorough and professional and also friendly. I highly recommend them. I had previously tried three other autobody shops and was never satisfied. I’m so glad I found anchor!

Anchor Auto Body has a friendly staff that does great work.
My first trip to Anchor Auto Body was in 2004 after being hit in a parking lot. After taking my car to two other local shops which did a poor job on my car, my insurance company told me to go to Anchor. Anchor did everything right — and I was a very picky customer by then (still am).
Since then, I’ve been hit several more times and always return to Anchor where I have never been disappointed. I have sent several other people there and they, too, have been very happy with Anchor’s work.

They fixed things, and are nice enough, but…
— A bumper replacement took nine days.
— I noticed shop damage that had touch up paint on it. They were going to let me take the vehicle without telling me about it. They fixed it once I noticed it, but that was an additional day.
— They suggested a discount if I didn’t write a Unilocal review.
It’s a competitive industry. I would go elsewhere next time.

Got hit from behind.
The guy’s insurance (Mercury) suggested this shop. It is only 1.5miles from work. They fit me in for an estimate at COB the same day as the accident. Shop is clean and has a really friendly staff. Got the estimate approved by Mercury very quickly and got parts ordered. Repair only took three days. My car looks amazing. Paint is spot on. The detail they did on the car was spectacular. They told me to bring it back in a month for another free detail so they can inspect how the pint is holding up. By far the best detail I’ve ever gotten. Looked better than the day I picked it up from the dealer.

Outstanding work and customer service! AAA insurance and Anchor Auto Body work together, so it was an easy drop-​off. The rental car was there waiting for me when I dropped off my car. Both Danny and Michelle were in constant contact with me, keeping me updated on the progress of my repairs. My car was ready earlier than promised and looks amazing!

I had my Camry repaired there a couple of years ago. One side fender and the front bumper needed to be replaced and painted. The cost was fully covered by the insurance of the other party. The price was not my main concern (they are not cheap) but the quality of the repair and the service. They claimed to restore my car to the original condition.
The job was not completed within a week as originally planned but over 2 weeks and 3 trips. The day I picked up my car, I noticed my car’s engine would stop running when it was in idle and parking position. This has never happened to me before (I owned the car for 5 years). I had to push the owner a couple of times before he agreed to fix it. I went back to the store 1 – 2 days later, this time it seemed fine.
Over the next few days, I noticed the difference in starting my car — I needed to turn the key and hold a bit to start and sometimes had to repeat a couple of times. So I google searched the problem and found out the battery was the issue. When I located my battery, I was shocked to see that the shop has removed my two years’ old Bosch battery without my knowledge and replaced it with a no brand SMALLER refurbished one. My old battery performed perfectly fine and had no sign of aging at all when I left my car for repair.
So I went back and asked the service lady who has helped me previously. She had no clues what I was talking about and asked her boss. In the beginning, he denied replacing anything not originally quoted. When I pointed it out point blank, he then explained. It turned out they screwed up the battery and replaced it, thinking I would not notice the difference. Since they were cheap, they didn’t bother to replace with a decent part of the right size. They said that’s the one they could find. Take it or leave it. Since I know my battery has a 3-​year warranty, I requested the old one back and asked if they could give me a ride to Pep Boy to get a replacement. Rudely they said no. I had to have my friend help me out.
Overall, the staff service was good and the paint job was satisfactory. I took two points off because I was not too happy about the delay (over 2 weeks in total), three trips, the boss, the lie, damaging my battery and replacing it with a bad part. My recommendation is: Think twice and set your expectation before going.

Had our work trucks repaired here from minor to signifigant. Always came out looking great. I had my classic chrysler 300k repaired here too. That was a big job, something the stupid insurance wanted to total but anchor helped me, told them the car they were comparing it to was a base model and this was a rare car with less than 1500 made (i forget exectally right now) point is they have the customer in mind first. The car came out beautiful. Straight and clean. We always take the 20 minute drive to bring out vehicles here because we know it’s done with right parts and done right. And if there’s ever an issue that creeps up it was fixed right away. We’ve done at least 8 vehicles here between work and personal over the many years, even since Tony was there, it’s been that long. So basically all you care about is yes, highly recommended.

Very bad customer service, did not wanted to even look at the car if it’s not insurance claim or covered under insurance. Typical high end Bay Area body shop that makes money on insurance claims and estimates. Had bad experience when I first called them then devoted to give them a chance and came in to show my car. From the door got straight forward questions about he accident and insurance. Did not let me explain my self. Won’t even come close to this place

Got my car dropped at Anchor Auto Body after a 16-​year old bumped into it while backing out in a parking lot. I was recommended by Mercury to go here and I did check out a few other body shops (including BMW Mountain View) in the vicinity.
Anchor was upfront about the process, what would/​would not be replaced and gave a time commitment. Danny kept updating me over the 3 days about the progress and even shared snaps. They also did detailing for me.
At the end, they did a good job. I just marked 4 instead of 5 stars since I think 3 days was a tad long for replacing a bumper.
I would recommend them for their work.
