Skippers in Union Gap was my FAVORITE restaurant as a kid. I lived in the lower valley when this one opened up and eat here about once a year when in the area for business. The chowder and fries seem to be about the same as 30 years ago, but the fish seems to be different. How? Of course the portions are smaller, but the quality seems to have suffered. Yes, the economy is different and fish surely cost more now, but I think it is more than simple nostalgia & it is not the same… still, I always look forward to stopping in at Skippers!

I loved this location! It was most definitely worth the drive! The staff is super friendly and the place is really clean and cute on the inside. The food tasted great and was really great! My only complaint is that I wish the chowder was a little bit thicker but it still tasted amazing! I will most definitely be returning to this location in the future and hope it stays in business!

I use to go to the one in union gap when I lived in Yakima as a kid, I remember this place and compare it to fish n chips everywhere I go. The chowder is second to none the fish n chips are made to order the dips are so good like the tarter sauce and«catsup» still the same bomb the only thing I think the batter is different like thicker, but oh well still yummy., I drove in a wind and fog storm to get to this place from Yakima and bottom line I would have walked if i had to just to say I had Skippers again!
