Alpha Collision Towing & Service

About two weeks ago I got into a car accident and had to get my car towed. Alpha Collision was the tow company that came to get my car and I must say they really went out of their way to make sure both me and my car were taken care of. The tow truck driver Vinny explained exactly what my options were and told me he would tow my car for me anywhere I needed or that he could bring it to his shop to have it fixed. I let him take my car to his shop, and I must say they did an incredible job. The owner who’s name is also Vinny lol was so nice, he helped me put in my insurance claim and answered all of my questions. My car was fixed in a week and it looked perfect! I would highly recommend, and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

I live a hundred feet from these guys. They are my neighbors, but in the strict locational sense of the word. By no means do they act neighborly. Here’s what happened:
Recently, I woke up to a flat tire on a Sunday while trying to get to a Jets game. After using a pipe for leverage on top of my lug wrench, which I started bending, and a bit of WD-​40, I could only break 3 of 5 lug nuts loose. So, given the noise they sometimes make on Sundays, I knew Alpha was open and I walked down to see what could be done. After explaining the situation that I was in, I was colorfully told that I should seek help elsewhere. Scratch that, colorful is too nice, but I can’t exactly write what was said here…
Long story short, I thanked them for being a «great neighbor» and called for a flatbed tow to take me to Pepboys (great people over there) a block or two down.
I will steer clear of Alpha indefinitely because they appear to lack the basic human instinct of helping others. They did not even make an attempt to see if there was something they could do (even for a fee).
I will never trust them to be honest, reliable, or to help anyone, ever. Nor will I ever expect them to be a part of the community they are in.
