Typically I am not a pizza eater but once in a while, my family and I do enjoy to indulge ourselves with this great American-made tradition. I’ve been a great fan of all the Papa John’s commercials and certainly have bought from this location before. But it seems that every single time it becomes worse and worse. I ordered my pizza via the internet for pick up which I thought would be ideally since I was in my office. Once I thought I completed my order, I noticed I never received a confirmation so right before I left my office I called the location. The phone was answered fast, but just as quickly, I got put on hold for 10 minutes. I left my office and finally when someone picked up, I found out it was the manager Adonis, I explained my situation and he kept on telling me to go back online and order it through my computer. I told him that I was in my car since he had me on hold for 10 minutes and asked if he could place the order over the phone. He gave me an explanation that if I wanted to use the online coupon I needed to order it online. I decided to hang up, CALLDOMINO’s PIZZA, which by the way it’s just on the other side of the plaza, and spoke to a really nice gentleman which not only did he take my order but also honored the 25% OFF internet coupon that I attempted to use with Papa John’s. Half of the enjoyment of eating out or ordering out is the customer service. Domino’s/1, Papa John’s/0.

Why are there two entries in Unilocal for this location? Anyway…this is a repeat of my post at the other location’s Unilocal page. After a long hiatus from ordering pizza from this Papa John’s location, because of their long history of abysmal customer service, I decided to give them another chance tonight. My story is kind of the same as the real posters on here. I ordered online. Received confirmation at 6:32PM that pizza would be delivered in 30 – 40 minutes. At 7:18, I called to find out where the driver was, and was assured that he was a few minutes away. I received a call from the driver at 7:23 indicating that he was at an address that’s in a different town from where I live. After explaining where he should go, he confirmed that he’s actually on the other side of my island, which you could drive around in its entirety in about 5 minutes — clearly, getting from one side to the other should take no time at all. When he didn’t turn up 5 minutes later, I called the store and explained that I thought that the driver was lost. The guy in the store mumbled something incomprehensible and put me on hold. I wouldn’t end up talking to him until 17 minutes later, since I guess he tried to abandon the call by leaving it on hold. Ten minutes after he reached out to me the first time, the driver arrived. The pizza still was sort of warm, so I was inclined to accept it, even though it was so late. The driver showed me on the ticket that the store printed the wrong address for him(they left out a W to indicate whether he should’ve been on the west or east side of the island). I was disappointed, but not at all upset with the driver, because it was clearly not his fault. But when I very politely asked the driver to give me the name of the store’s manager, he started directing me repeatedly to sign the charge slip. Now at this point, I was getting slightly annoyed because I simply(and clearly) asked him to tell me the name of the manager and he kept responding with his request to sign the charge slip, explaining first that he didn’t know, second that the name should be on the receipt(which it was not — only the driver’s name was listed), and subsequently that he was new on the job and was«only the driver.» After asking politely three times for the manager’s name, I asked him to take the pizza back to the store. Finally, when the mumbling guy in the store answered the phone, I explained to him why I sent the driver back. He apologized. I asked him for the manager’s name, and he mumbled something incomprehensible again. I asked him to repeat it — more mumbles. Then I asked him to speak slower, and he managed to get a name out. A first name only. When I asked him for the manager’s last name, he again put me on hold! Then he came back, mumbled something else, I asked him to repeat it slower, and it was slower mumbling, and then I thanked him as he apologized a final time and we ended our call. I still don’t know if I have the correct manager’s name, but while I’m waiting for my pizza from another store, I’ll be exhausting all of my Googling skills to find it out, and follow up with a letter to him and to the corporate offices. I imagine that this store must manage a decent amount of revenue to have been in this location for so long(they must have been there for about 20 years). But when I started ordering from them years ago, it seems like they actually had some pride in their work. Now, they need to be checked for whatever managerial laziness that has led to this disappointing service. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone order from this store because if this is how their front-line resources perform, I only can imagine in horror what’s happening in the kitchen and what’s going into the ovens! By the way, if anyone from Papa John’s ever bothers to read this, please do NOT hesitate to follow up with me on this issue. I’m very interested in hearing how you can explain all of this. Thank you.

Pizza was great, for fast food chain pizza(I don’t care what anyone says, they beat Domino’s, Little Caesar’s and Pizza Hut in quality and flavor). I came here on a Friday night with a friend, to pick up a pizza and a Blu-Ray at Publix’s Red Box. The pizza had plenty of ingredients, though I’ve noticed the Miami Beach location loads it up even more. The problem at this location? The service. The employees are highly unprofessional, gathered around a TV to watch sports. I’m sorry, though that alone is unprofessional, to keep doing it and yelling«WHOAAAAAA, AWWWWW» while turning your head toward the TV and having a customer in front of you mid-conversation is just plain rude, I don’t care if it’s March madness or whatever, I wouldn’t even have a problem if they were doing this while the shop was empty or customers were just sitting around and waiting for their order, but not ignoring the customers while in the middle of being helped at the counter. My friend and I opted to go outside and wait for our pizza at the outdoor seating area of the store to avoid the noise. Bad decision I guess. We waited… and waited… and waited, and after 30 minutes, we decided to go in and inquire about our pizza. We found out it was just sitting there on a shelf, even though we were in the establishment the whole time, we never even went to the car. They apologized but still, by the time we got home, the pizza was cold and we wasted our time waiting. I’ll go to another Papa John’s next time, because if take-out takes as long, or longer, than delivery, then there is a problem.
