Clap your hands with childlike delight! It’s like the dreamy wonder of Christmas morning…
A tiny shoebox storefront in a strip mall. Even on a balmy summer night, icicle lights fringe the entrance. I was lured inside by the twinkly lights and the fact that it’s called «the Nutcracker».
Inside is a curious display of:
chilled desserts
smoked salmon
caviar
dried fruits, chocolates, and candies
coffees
and a wall of Adagio Teas!!!
Each time I come to this store, I hear the «sugar plum fairy» theme as I flit from the fridge cases to the tea section!
They have about 4-​dozen teas to choose from. You can buy teas by the .oz or sit down for a fresh pot. They carry oolongs like Ti Kuan Yin and Golden Monkey. The staff lets you sniff the teas as they do at Teavana, and the high-​quality estate teas appeared and smelled fresh. I ordered a Chocolate Truffle tea to go. It was a smokey, medium-​bodied lapsang souchong scented with cocoa, and it was a damn sexy, chocolatey cuppa tea.
Outside there are little café tables where you may nibble and sip.
So this place is like a sparkly Christmas dream, except that you’re jolted into grim wakefulness when you take out your wallet. Sure, there are intermediate options. Not gonna argue with my $ 4 tea. However, select tins of caviar in the fridge case will set you back $ 2,300. Yeeouch!!! That’s what I call a nutcracker!

Super friendly lady at the counter who was very knowledgable about all the teas and treats. She also got us to try some delicious homemade chocolates and some other treats. Lots of chocolates, prepackaged candies and tea accessories to purchase here. Great for gift ideas.
Just a super cute local place to go relax, enjoy some loose leaf tea, nibble on some treats and hang out.
I will definitely be coming back.
