Hi-Lite Nails

I have been coming to this nail salon for 15 years now and I must say they are by far the best. My commute time is about 25 minutes but is well worth it. Everyone there is very nice but, Kristen is the one who always does my nails, Lynn does the best pedicures (I feel like falling asleep when she does them) and May does my eyebrows, she is the sweetest woman.
I highly recommend this place. One you go you’ll be hooked.

This place is ok. The location is super odd strip mall & the inside is not that ravishing. I paid the same for a gel manicure ($ 25) that I would at other places I have been to. I don’t know the name of the lady but it seemed like she was sparingly using the polish and it came out sooooo light & she offered a third coat but it was still showing through to my nail. And the color was a pretty vibrant orange. The pedicure was way better ($ 12). I almost regret not getting a regular manicure color. She took her time though on cleaning & shaping. Just their brand of gel polish choice was hard to determine color because they don’t have swatches & use practically one dip for a whole hand. Overall ok. But I wouldn’t return or recommend.

Details: I’ve been going there for a few years now, but I’m still a newbie to the HiLite Nail salon family since everyone else has been going probably since the salon opened many years ago! This alone tells you how great they really are! Everyone who walks in there is made to feel right at home! All the employees are very sweet and the service is exceptional! They remember their clients and their wants, and the conversations aren’t just pointless jibber jabber, there is enough care there for them to remember names and family members of the clients, and ask about their well being! Oh and the prices are THE BEST!!! Yes, it has an older feel than the new «hip» nail salons that are coming about, but this is THE nail salon! Modern walls and lighting don’t give a good mani/​pedi, people here do!

I was very disappointed yesterday April 16, 2015. I walked in a little after 2:00 Pm to see if they could do a Mani-​Pedi and my eyebrows. The one lady I believe her name is Kristen was doing a clients nails asked her co-​worker who was napping in her chair if she would be able. I was told that they would not be able to fit me in. I understand that maybe they had appointments coming in. But they did not even try to help not come back in an hour or two or we can get you in tomorrow i was just told they could not help me. Well I will not be back Went up to Kim Nails Looks like she just got a new client.

Well the prices are amazing and they do a nice job. It’s not a beautiful salon and they might be cooking and eating home made sausage but you can’t beat a mani pedi for $ 20!

Best nail salon around. No complaints! I’ve been coming here 15 years. Kristin can do any design imaginable and it comes out perfect. I always get complemented on my nails too.

Dirtiest place everrr, dust all over the place, bathroom horrible and the most important the attitude of Kristin she is the rudest nail person. The price is cheap I will recommend for those people who wants their nail done on cheapest way. I will never come back to this place and I’m not recommending for other who’s looking for a nice place. Don’t get fooled like me with others reviews.

A gem nail salon in Sunland. I always come in simply for a mani/​pedi and Lyn always takes the best care of me! For the low low price of $ 20 for both, it can’t be beat! They may not have the spa chairs but who needs ‘em? I still leave feeling pampered with well massaged feet/​legs and pretty nails. I recommended making an appointment and arriving on time!!! I have seen them turn away someone with an appointment cuz she was over 5 – 10 minutes late. They get pretty busy so if you’re not on time you pretty much forfeit your spot.

This place is AWESOME. Be your own judge!!! My personal favorite is KRISTIN. She does the best acrylics, fast and high quality! Prices are very reasonable. Friendly and warm environment!

horrible place, horrible customer service, full of attitude, all the care about is to get the money. I went there only once, but my mom was going there for two straight years I was never aware how they treat their customers after I went with her once omg never going back there again nor is my mom. So many other places are there that we don’t need this crapy place.

If you want 3D designs, Kristen is the best.

I have been coming here for years. Even after I moved out of the area to glendale and tried many others places all over but I came back here to my girl Lin. Their prices are damn good …8 for a mani and 12 for a pedi. Most places at that price do a shitty job but they are the real deal. Make an appointment because they get busy. Recommend.

I would have to disagree with the women who wrote save you money and nails. I was recommended to Kristen by a friend. And I was not disappointed. I have had my nails done by many different Nail techs before and I would have to say the Kristen is great! Very sweet and the girl who did my pedicure was amazing as well. I especially loved how she massaged my feet for what seem like eternity. Most nail techs do very little massage. They do only what they need to get by. It was 2 weeks ago I had my acrylics done and they look great. As a matter of fact I got several compliments on them yesterday. I recommended that my daughter go give it a try and she got zebra stripes painted on her nails. I was so amazed that it was all done by hand. And at a reasonable price as well. Keep up the good job that you do there at Hi lite Nails. Thanks again

Such a piece of crap of a place!
The people who work there have SUCH an attitude! I got a fill and it looks like shit. I’ve been getting my nails done for YEARS and never have I seen anything like them… and I got a pedi, french tip… One week later, already chipped off and ruined…

Amazing little hole in the wall! Kristin is beyond amazing her nail art is incredible and her acrylics are beautiful long lasting and fast!
Ive been wearing acrylics for years but getting to the salon every 2 weeks for a fill very rarely happens. Usually after a few weeks they are lifting, catching in my hair, breaking and look pretty gross. But these nails last weeks with no fill!
