I have been going to Big Mama’s and Papa’s for some months and the pizza is great! Confess to being so lazy that I frequently have it delivered. Love that you can order a slice which is huge, when there is no one else home to share. Also love their salads.

The pizza is really good, the service not so much. Whenever I call for a pizza and get the younger female, I feel like I am putting her out. No niceties what so ever, just give me your phone number, order and credit card and then we are done talking. If she doesn’t like customer service, then she needs to find another job. The only reason why I continue to order pizza here is because it is tasty. I see time and again on Unilocal about the poor customer service, do they not read Unilocal reviews? I would think this would be something they would want to address. I would be embarrassed if this were my business and had so many complaints about customer service.

The worst customer service ever. As you walk in they don’t even say hello to you. Very rude people.

I came in early though, still past opening. The door was lock but one of the employees said they would be open in about 30 mins. I waited in my car about 45 mins before again finding the door lock again. The same employee opens the door yelling«WHATDOYOUWANT!» my answer was«to eat» I was than let in with the contension that I could not leave till the manger came with the key. The food was a bit pricey although that’s not necessarily a negative if you have good ingredients. I order a drink but the fountain machine did not work. I told the employee who then again yelled at me for not knowing there is a key in the back of the fountain machine that turns it on. The food was decent and the view was amazing. But the mood went sour as the manager came back and I had to listen to the yelling going on between them. Bottom line I will not eat here ever again and I hope you do the same.

I don’t even know where to start with this place. I’ve ordered here maybe a total of four times, and have always ordered carry out. The tension in the restaurant is so thick that it slaps you in the face as soon as you walk in. Nobody greets you, and everyone looks miserable. ANDOHMYGOD, don’t you DARE smile at or greet the older man who attends the customers. I’m assuming he’s the owner, because he gets away with murder in regards to how he treats everyone in the place, customers included. Don’t even bother to look his way if you walk in and he’s on the phone. He basically looks at you like he sees right through you. All he asks you is what you ordered. He will do this in between yelling at his employees in Armenian(who seem to be family of his). From there, he kind of looks around and walks around and never explains whether or not it’s ready, if it WILL be ready, or anything. Everyone seems to be hustling and communicating quietly amongst one another, and trying to avoid him as much as possible. The food here is pretty good and the prices are pretty fair, but I just can’t bring myself to keep ordering from here knowing just how awful not only the customer service at this place is, but how awkward you feel just waiting in there because of how he treats the employees. You have to wonder how these people deal with him, and how this man is at home. You almost don’t even know whether or not to thank him because he might just snap out of nowhere. This may sound dramatic and overly exaggerated. I assure you, this is as accurate as it gets. I can see how all the other reviews have came about. I don’t doubt any one of them.

I always order for delivery cause I’m too lazy to drive even though it’s down the street. They deliver within 20 – 30 min after I place my order. My favorite is the egg gondola, it’s the best. The pizza is always good for parties cause it’s huge. They taste every good!

This place is really hard to review, because on one hand, the wings are soooo good and the chicken Cesar salad is always fresh but as most people have pointed out, the owner and the people working there are so horrible! I first heard about this place when I had just moved to sunland and my friend told me to order some pizza for a party. I didn’t know where they were located, and(being drunk) I tried to specify where I lived to them. It turned out I only lived a few blocks away and the guy on the phone cussed me out thinking I was messing with him. The few times I have come inside, an older man is ALWAYS yelling and berating his(family?) workers. They are seriously unhappy people and they do not make for good customer service. I don’t order here as often as I could, because I’m always paranoid that they have my cell number and have listed me as the girl who«pranked» them by living so close. I generally try to go to the one in Montrose, or I just order from double deal, which has excellent pizza but the wings are definitely not as good as here. TL;DR: food is AMAZING. Customer service is the WORST.

THISISTHEGOTOBMPP. The food is super fresh and they are definitely generous when it comes to toppings. I always enjoy every single bite I take. The restaurant is super clean and organized which is a really big deal in my books. The parking is super convenient if your going to go there and eat. Love that its family owned and they put in the hard work, SO you know your pizza is always going to be on point. OHAND Customer service is always amazing as well. I have ordered so much from them that I have built a really tight relationship with the girl owner! She always hooks it up! Enjoy:)

Highly recommend getting the meatball sub! I’m not a big fan of their pizza. But the meatball sub is incredibly delicious, nice fresh warm bread, perfectly flavored meatballs and yummy marinara oozing out the sides. They even throw in fries and a pickle and pepperoncini!

I love this place… the food is always fresh and delicious! It is family owned and operated and they always make me feel at home. Everyone who wrote these comments is crazy. They do get super busy but the quality is great! I live in the area and order at least once a week. I always order bbq chicken pizza, allens pizza, fettuccini alfredo, mozzarella sticks, etc. I highly recommend the allens pizza it’s amazzinggggg!

I decided that it was a good day for pizza and I called Big Mama’s & Papa’s. I placed my order(slice of ham pizza) with the a dude who sounded miserable. I get to the pizza joint and try to pay with my card when I overhear the owner start to bicker and complain about having to pay .35 cents each time a customer pays with a card making it seem like its my fault. I told them I would have no problem bringing cash had I known it was such a big deal. Then I grab my food and decide to sit down and enjoy my food. YEAHRIGHT! In the corner of the restaurant in plain sight I see the owner SMOKINGHISNASTYCIGARETTEINSIDETHERESTAURANT2 feet away from where I wanted to sit and considering its a small lobby there was no getting away from it so I left. Thank you for that. MESSAGETOTHEOWNERSOFBMAP: we don’t live in a in the 80s and 90s anymore there are things called Health Regulations and Rules. But don’t worry Iv already contacted the Department of Health and Safety. Enjoy your cancer! And you’re pizza is garbage!!!

Had been craving pizza and been wanting to try out big mamas and papas pizza. First thing I noticed was the female manager or whatever she is, belittling her male delivery driver in front of me. She then proceeded to wipe her face with her T-shirt. She took my order, she handled money and went straIght to handling raw pizza dough. Clearly a health department violation. I agree with Britney, this lady does not represent this company well. She was a rude and when I asked for a bigger cup for ice cause I always carry a monster with me. She wanted to charge me full price for the cup. I was willing to pay $ 1 not $ 2 for a cup of ice. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom slice of pizza and some calamari rings. The food was delicious although I thought the pizza crust was a little burnt. Not a favorable experience will not come to this location again ever and do not recommend this location either.

I’m in love with the wings and pizza here! Cooked very well and did not have one compliant about the good. But the lady at the counter. She’s very rude and unprofessional and that’s why this place gets a 3 ½. Maybe they should hire someone new for the front desk

I love big mamas. They have Great food BUT the female manager of this location in Sunland is ghetto and does NOT represent the company well. I called to order and she started arguing with me for no reason. She is rude and I will never order again just because of her. The food is amazing but I will never come back because I wasn’t treated like other big mamas and papa’a pizza locations that I have been to. Lost a customer.

That Man is A mental case:(always screaming at his family of workers. Very loud and rude! What pizza you want ! he says! and then I go hide in the corner! If you need a 4 foot pizza? It is OK but I’ll drive 11 miles for a Real Pizza at Little Toni’s in No. Hollywood every time! And don’t order any appetizers either! Yuk This Sunland Pizza is only good if you have a party and need a Huge 4 foot round Pizza. Beside that, Its Not Good.

One of the worst pizzerias i have ever had. I am a very patient person and i give people and places several chances. 3 different times i ordered pizzas and wings and sandwiches and all 3 times they got my order totally wrong not even close and the pizza omg so oily and everything falls apart. Anyways after all that i gave them another chance i order a XL pizza, the feta cheese pizza with Basel and raw tomatoes. What i get is totally something els. Pizza stincks cant even get ur nose close to it. Anyways This place does not even deserve a 1 star but i cant put any lower than that

I love this place. The first time we ordered from here it was literally 5 maybe 10 minutes before they closed. Like most places they didn’t give the excuse that«oh we’re closing». Not this place. They placed the order and informed us it will be ready in 20 minutes. We’ve ordered from here numerous times. We love this place!!!

My brother and I came here one Saturday. It’s the corner lot of the little strip mall in Sunland right off Mt. Gleason(I think). This is definitely the«order in, pick up and/or get it delivered» location. They have tables here but no one dines in and my brother and I now know why. The owner of this location is pretty rude, they’re not the sweetest of people. The least amount of communication you have with them the better but the pizza is good and consistent and my brother loves the food. Pepperoni pizza 5 stars according to my brother. Margherita pizza is 4.5 stars to me Location and service 1.5−2 stars So again if you want Big mama and papa pizzeria pizza and in the Sunland area… just call in and pick up!
