History

Established in 1980.

Niagara Carpet and Cleaning opened its doors in 1980. Family-​owned and operated by founders Tom and John Tarpinian, Niagara has been cleaning, restoring, and repairing all types of rugs including those of oriental origin. Tom has over two decades of hands-​on experience cleaning thousands of rugs. Niagara’s cleaning methods include both wet and dry cleaning, for the majority of synthetic, natural, and blended fibers. Of these, our recommended method of choice is warm water extraction. This is by far the most powerful and effective method of cleaning and drying available in the cleaning industry today. We service the design community, high-​end rug dealers, manufacturers, architects, and homeowners. Niagara is a member of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID), the Carpet and Fabric Institute, the Institute of Cleaning and Inspection, and the World Floor Covering Association.

We hired them to clean out outdoor custom furniture and they did such an unbelievable job. We had used a previous cleaner and they made it worse. Niagara not only were able to fix the other companies mistake but made it look brand new.
We also have used them to clean our carpets and do an excellent job as well.

I would highly recommend Niagara Carpets to anyone who is interested in having their wall-​to-​wall carpeting, area rugs and furniture cleaned. The office staff is extremely friendly and will work with you when it comes to scheduling. The Carpet cleaning crew is also very friendly and professional. The cleaning crew arrived at my house on time and were professional from start to finish. They even laid out paper for us so that we wouldn’t have to step on the wet carpet and get our feet wet. Attention to detail is important to me and I was very impressed when the crew even walked through with me after the job was done to ensure that I was happy with the cleaning they did. I will definitely be giving Niagara Carpets a call back when I need my carpets and furniture cleaned again.

I am writing one now because I was so pleased with everything they did, that I had to stop my busy schedule to write and recommend Niagara. Niagara is an EXCELLENT Carpet cleaning service. We have used Niagara Carpet service twice over the past few years and are VERY happy with their service. We have VERY specific needs and are really picky whom we allow into our home. They have come to clean an cream colored silk rug and a light colored modern (expensive) sofa/​sleeper. Both items need special treatment and we would NEVER allow a budget company that is unqualified to clean these type of pieces. From the first call we were assured that they are qualified and experienced in high end carpets and furniture. When the guys (2) arrived they were VERY professional and again assured us we would be very pleased with the outcome. That was an understatement for sure !!! We were thrilled with their professionalism and the care taken with our pieces. They were a pleasure to work with and we were thrilled with the overall experience and outcome. When it came time to have these cleaned again a few years later it was a no brainer that we only called Niagara as we knew we would be another wonderful experience and it was. They even followed up to make sure we were happy with how everything turned out and that were were satisfied with the service. You don’t get that from a «Groupon» deal provider. They may be a little more that those types but if you have nice furniture and carpets that are an investment why risk ruining them with a cheap service that you would regret later. I would recommend this company to everyone who expects quality and professional service with excellent outcome.

Nicest people you ever had do a service. I have had carpets cleaned many times over many years. They are far and away the MOST EXPENSIVE. Not even close to any price I’ve ever paid before. At least three times any price paid.

We used Niagara to clean our upholstery and got good results. They were able to get most of the stains out on our crème colored chairs, and the stains that remained, I believe, were due to the type of stain. They were very honest and reasonable with the price and professional in manner. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I’ve used Niagara twice over the past few years, and have been pleased both times. We live in a 3 level townhome with carpet on both sets of stairs and our top level. The stairs get filthy; particularly those leading from the ground level entry door up. Niagara was easy to schedule, arrived on time and were in and out very quickly. They were able to remove multiple stains that I had been unsuccessful at removing, and the best part is that the carpets are now clean!

We were hosting a very important Anniversary dinner party at our house for 30 guests and had a crisis. Our dog was very ill and had accidents on both the dining room carpet and our persian area rug in the living room. I called Niagara Carpet and explained that I was hosting an event in 4 days and needed to have the stains cleaned but that I really did not have time to wait. Jason was very friendly and said that he would work something out for me. He picked up our rug THAT day and sent a couple of guys back the next morning to clean the dining room carpet while my rug was being cleaned at their shop. They dropped our rug back off the day before the dinner party. Not only did they help us tremendously in a bind but our persion rug and dining room carpet looked better than before the accident. I highly recommend Niagara!
