Avoid this company like the plague!!! They were assigned to handle my pest issue by my last home insurance company. It took them a month, from the day I placed the claim and several missed appointments on their end later, to finally come to my house for a 5-​min «assessment». They charged me a $ 60 service fee and then NEVER CAME BACK to actually fix the issue despite me calling to follow up multiple times. Needless to say, I promptly dropped both my money-​grabbing insurance provider and this unethical company. It just sucks that I had to pay the $ 60 fee AND had to fix the problem myself. Please everyone learn from my mistake and stay far away from this horrible company.

My home warranty company Old Republic assigned Macropest to me on 11−24−15. Laura called me the following day and assigned me an appointment of December 4 2015 10−2PM. When I called them back to discuss other appointment options, I was told this was the only appointment time avaiable for them to come out and give me an estimate. I explained to her serveral times this was covered by home warranty coverage and that I didnt need an estimate, the women insisted that it may not be what I think it is and they would give me an estimate and this was the only appointment available. Being that this was a pest infestion that needed to be taking care ASAP I accepted it. I called them several times to see if she could have the appointment be after 1PM so that I could arrange for someone to be home, and no one ever answered or returned my phone calls.
I then called Old Republic 12−2−15 to let them my phone calls had not been returned and I was concerned about the appointment time and the «estimate». They contacted them and the lady told them the same thing but she would contact me to confirm the appointment time. 12−3−15 I called Macropest again due to I never received call back from them to see if they could come at 1 or after 1PM. Laura answered and said yes it was ok they would come 12−4−15 after 1PM.
12−4−15 @ 11:41AM I received a text while I was at work stating the technician would be arriving at 12:30, now remember we agreed @ 1PM or after the day b4 and I had arranged for my neighbor to let them in but she would not be there till 1PM. I called them back, no answer. So I called Old Republic back who contacted them and had them call me back. Laura called back at 3:56PM leaving a message saying they have to reschedule my appointment for next Friday 12−11−15 and to call her to discuss the time.
Really a whole week later. Were talking pest people… remember this started in November and not only did she not keep her agreement of the appointment time, they never showed up at all and then call me and leave a message for appointment a whole week later. Unacceptable! My neighbor left work early to be there to let them and the agreed upon appointment time. Unprofessional and a lack of respect for customers time and money.
From the begining there was no since of urgency with them to resolve the issue and then you dont show up at the agreed upon time and then you reschedule again a whole week later. What happen to customer service??? I immediately called Old Republic and insisted that they assign this to another contractor, which they did the same day to New World Pest Control who called 12−5−15 and set up an appointment for today 12−7−15 after 1PM arriving as agreed upon and Ted from New World Pest Control even texted me advising me he would be arriving within the next 20 minutes and arrived aproxiamately at 3PM and my neighbor again was there to let him in. AWESOME NEW WORLD PEST CONTROL!
If customer service is important to you and you want to work with a company who values your business, time and money DO NOT USE MACROPEST!

They were sent by our home warranty company. Macro pest made two appointment and didn’t show for either. When called, the receptionist was very rude giving excuse after excuse why it wasn’t her fault no one showed up. I will never use them again and have reported them to our warranty company.

I will never use them. They were the company my home warranty called out. They scheduled a 4 hour window (1pm-​5pm) to come and spray for ants… At 4:45pm I had. It heard from them or seen them… I tried calling but no answer. I had to leave to pick up my son at 5 so I couldn’t wait anymore. I called home warranty and they got ahold of someone. She told them the technician and assistant both called out. My home warranty rep asked her why she didn’t call to inform me. They said «they didn’t have time». Wow… So you make someone rearrange their schedule to sit at home for 4 hours and then don’t have the decency to at least call and reschedule! I give this company 10 thumbs down! Home warranty was also unhappy with this and reported them and will not be using them again!

I’ve called in 3 times and spoken with 3 different people. I explained I wanted my entire exterior sprayed for ants and spiders. I’ve had 3 different quotes of $ 60, $ 85, and now $ 95 when I was booking my appointment. I decided to look elsewhere as they just kept changing prices on me. I used them once before, but never again now that they are constantly fluctuating prices.

We used Macropest last summer. They first came out and removed/​replaced the wood that had been damaged by termites and dry rot. They worked very efficiently and effectively (on time, kept areas clean, cleaned up at end of the day and the replacement work was seamless). They then primed the wood when they were done. They met with us personally to review the steps for us to move out for 2 nights during the treatment. They arranged for the gas company to meet me us at home when we could return. Easy! Home was safe! Every time we called or had a question, Josephine was extremely responsive!

This company was assigned by my home warranty company to spray for spiders. Awful customer service. Was told the tech would arrive between 1 and 4. I made arrangements to ensure someone was home between those hours. at 10:30 am they called and said the tech was early and on his way. I let them know that no one would be home until 1:00, they asked if I could get someone there earlier. I said it was not possible. At 12:42 I received a voicemail stating that the tech was at my home but was leaving since no one was there. I called back at 12:43 and the dispatcher said «sorry, he’s already in another city. I asked how he got to the next city in 1 – 2 minutes and was told I could simply reschedule for another day. Unacceptable. Complained to my Home Warranty company but little more recourse than that. Poor customer service!

I was assigned to this company two times via my home warranty insurance to resolve an ant problem… Both times they didn’t show up.
This time, when I called to see where they were, Laura told me she’d check and call back. Then she called back and said that they’d sent all employees home due to the rain.
Um, we live in California, not Chicago. And it was barely drizzling for even an hour today. Also, why hadn’t anyone called to let me know?
I’m done with this company.

This company has come out twice now to treat our house for ant infestation. They were sent to us via our home warranty company. Their customer service is terrible. They are not that eager to get out and solve any important pest problems in any timely manner. The only redeeming quality was the kid who treated our house the second time. I think his name was Steve. He’s the only reason this company is getting any stars from me. He was efficient, polite, and knowledgable. Maybe they should have him run the company.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company when my home warranty insurance company placed my service claim with them. I took a day off work to wait for their technician to show up. My original appointment was from 9 AM to Noon. By 12:30, Josie from their office called to inform me that the technician was feeling under the weather and was sent home. She wanted to reschedule my appointment. I explained to her that under normal circumstances I wouldn’t mind rescheduling, however when most people called for an exterminator, they need the technician to come as soon as possible! She then rescheduled my appointment to anywhere between 4 PM and 5 PM. When I tried to reach her again around 5:30, the office had closed and no one was available to answer calls. I filed a complaint against them with my home warranty insurance company by 6:00 PM. This is NOT good business, bad work ethics on the technician’s part. I should send them a bill for my lost wages for today. Josie, I don’t appreciate being lied to and don’t appreciate having my precious time wasted. I hope you’re not just the office manager, but the owner’s wife because that’s the only way you would ever be able to keep a job. If I’ve mis-​spelled your name, I apologize.
