Only reason I’m giving stars is for the ice cream but service is bad. Every time I walk in here I get depressed no hellos and not very friendly it seems they really hate their job. There is no music playing to lighten up the move at least. And every single time they get my ice cream mix wrong I think because they are too busy thinking about going home.

My unborn child required ice cream this evening and thankfully this place was able to provide us with craving satisfaction. The staff was nice and packaged our waffle cups to go and blended in lots of cookies, berries etc.

I am a Cold Stone girl, but have always wanted to try Marble Slab because of the good things I have heard about it. I was very excited when I realized there was one close to my house, so I convinced my husband to give it a shot after date night. I was very disappointed. They do not have many flavor choices and the jars they store the toppings in don’t look great. I was also very irritated by the workers who were more interested in flirting with the girls visiting them. I will continue to be a Cold Stone girl!

So if you don’t want to spend too much money on Ice Cream, I’m hopeful there are other options around the area. Because this location may not be ideal for you, although I don’t find the price that unreasonable honestly. If you’ve ever experience a Cold Stone Creamery, this is almost the exact same thing aside from a few additional options here and there. But the process and concept is the same. You select your ice cream flavor(s) of choice, and then what you’d like to be mixed in with it. From traditional nuts, fruits, cookies… to not so typical(but still seen before) kit kats, candies, etc. Or you can do one of their menu options which is a set mix(like peanut butter lovers or something) and you won’t have to pick out each individual mix/topping you want. You can top it off like a Sunday or eat it straight up like that and enjoy your new combination. The ice cream is good, and the mix options are a good selection. I haven’t had the frozen yogurt yet, but they seem to have a typical selection of that as well. Which you can also add mixes too. If you’re looking for a tasty and cool treat, then I’d highly recommend this place. I love going and making new mixes! :)

The ice cream is wonderful, but for the amount of money I’m paying I will stick to buying mine from the store. Just a side note, they do offer a discount for military personnel.

Over-priced, yes, but well worth it on occasion.

The opening of this national brand ice cream chain in Sumter is cause for celebration. This plaza was recently constructed in 2005, and Marble Slab was the first to open, providing delicious, over-priced Ice Cream to all Sumterites. The Ice Cream is phenomenal, but competition is stiff! Neighboring T.C.B.Y, quickly closed, while Baskin-Robbins on Broad Street can frequently be seen exchanging gunfire with Marble Slab Employees.
