Riverside Ford Sumner

It started out as a bike ride Saturday afternoon and my wife and I ended up parking our 2 Harley’s at Riverside Ford while Kevan C. showed us a 2014 F-​150, which we took out for a very informative test ride. We needed to take our bikes back home and get them into the garage before the rains came, we did just that and came back to see Kevan and get some more info on the truck. We really weren’t in the market for a new truck/​car as we have a couple. But we quickly considered downsizing and getting the new rig. Kevan was absolutely delightful to work with, it was rather quick and painless. There was an issue we need to get with the service department and Kevan made sure he made note of it so I’m not worried at all about it getting resolved. Both my wife and I were very impressed with Kevan’s knowledge and treatment of us. Drove on a Sunday (2÷14÷16) to Riverside Ford in Summer to purchase a new vehicle. I saw an offer that seemed to good to be true and as it turns out the deal was real. I was approached by a very friendly and knowledgeable sales person by the name of Tom Tauvell who in my opinion is one of the most down to earth and amazing sales people I’ve ever met. He is a no BS type of person that gets down to business and makes sure that you completely understand what you are getting yourself into. Buying a car can be a bit daunting but his professionalism and honesty made the whole process seem easy. You sir rock! Thanks again Tom!

We drove up to Sumner from Olympia in search of a Ford Explorer. We found one we loved! Working with Jack Y. greatly exceeded our expectations. We haven’t had the best experiences with car salesmen in the past. But visiting Riverside Ford, we were pleasantly surprised! Jack was super friendly and likable. He really worked with us in purchasing our vehicle. The salesmen were not aggressive or «in your face,» which, we really appreciated. We will definitely be back in the future!

I had some warranty work done. I had to fight for it tooth and nail! But I was taken care of. Also had some oil changes done. I like how the mechanic actually came out and talk to you. Desiree is awesome! Definitely go through her to make appointments!

Watch every word. Get everything in writing. Watch very carefully when you go over financial papers. Very sadly disappointed. Pointed out where we were promised something in our negotiation, then saw we were charged for it. Then they denied it had been negotiated.

I had an awesome experience with Riverside Ford. They did everything to help us. We purchased a used 07 Ford Truck and it started having problems. My husband drove to the dealership and everyone worked to help us. They are currently repairing our truck at no extra charge. Marci was very sweet and attentive. We were there super late and they had a room where they had toys my baby could play with in the meantime. Teri, the financing guy, was wonderful as well. Neither of them were pushy, and they were willing to negotiate so that we could go home with the vehicle that night. We completed our purchase on ³⁄₂₇. I have no complaints because they are great! Now Honda next door, whole different experience. I bought a Ford there two years ago and they didn’t charge enough for the plates so we ended up owing them. Once again, Marci and Teri and the GM (forgot his name) were wonderful!

I purchased my Escape here. They always have fast and friendly service. Today, I came in for my first oil change with them and it was FREE! I also received a car wash ticket. Guess who will be coming to Riverside Ford in Sumner for her vehicle needs? This woman!!! Thank you to all the professionals here!

, a car that I was interested in buying. I filled out the «more info» and was soon contacted by Aaron Z. at Riverside Ford of Sumner. We set up an appointment time, was greeted by Aaron, the salesman, and took the car for a test drive. It fit my criteria and Aaron was great to work with. However, Jeff J., the sales manager was horrible to us. He treated us like we were idiots. I had been approved by my bank at a very low interest rate but he told me that I could only get the car at the internet price, if I financed thru Ford. I asked what Ford was charging for interest rate. He first replied with… well if you finance with Ford you’ll get the $ 500.00 reduction and then you can re-​finance thru you bank after 3 months. Again I asked what interest rate Ford charges. The second answer was «I don’t know». After requesting this information several more times so I could make an informed decision, he finally came back with 7.99%. This amount was way higher than thru my bank. We asked about reducing that percentage because we had an 810+ credit score. He responded with: 9 out of 10 people in Sumner have credit scores in the 800’s. Really? Google it… 13% of the population fit into that bracket. So they would not budge or match my bank and as a result he increased the price of the car by $ 500.00. (I see now on TV that Ford advertises 0% percent interest for 70 months on the model I purchased). I asked if they could throw in free oil changes in lieu of this increase and in return they would have my loyalty of servicing the vehicle thru Riverside. No… We went back and forth on other issues as well and got virtually no where. Jeff J reminded my of the «Old time» salesman who plays the «bad cop». In this industry today and with all the technology that people can access, there should be NO reason they need to treat future customers this way. Because of this experience, I know I will never buy another vehicle from them as long as Jeff J. works there.

This is my second ford from riverside, and it’s probably where I’ll purchase my third. These guys are great!

I did finally get help from Scarff Ford in Kent. They were more then willing to assist me with returning my lease. They also didn’t understand why Riverside Ford was hesitant at storing my vehicle for Ford as it is common practice for lease returns.

4 hours for an oil change? This is ridiculous! I arrived at 10:09AM on a Friday morning only to leave at 1:59PM from just getting an oil change! I have never been to a Ford dealer who was this slow at getting the customer their vehicle back from such a simple job that is repetitively done all day long. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

James Davee was so incredibly patient, and worked so hard to help me drive away in just the car I came in for. Everyone I met on staff was so sweet and helpful. Best experience I’ve had, buying a car, for sure!

Almost bought a car from them but we decided on a different brand in the end. The salespeople we’ve worked with there are nice and there is as low of a BS factor as you’re going to get at a car dealership.
Another cool thing is we were looking at a 4×4, so on the test drive the guy took us on a pretty cool route where we got to try it out some.
I will definately go back when I’m in the market again.

Great guys to work with!!! I ended up not buying a car from them, cause the one I wanted got sold. But I loved their service and honesty and willingness to be upfront. I bought many cars in my days, and these guys are awesome. The manager was willing to talk to me directly about my situation… everything got worked out. When you go there, look for Joey or J. J… they’re cool dudes. 2 thumbs up!
