This is a little Mexican market in Sumner, next to Aversano’s restaurant near the old QFC. I noticed a while ago that there was a little restaurant in the back of the store, and I have wanted to try it for a while. Well…I tried it tonight and needless to say, I am going to be a regular. Tacos are 1.25 each for Pollo, Asado, o Adobada. 1.79 for Lengua o tripa. I had one of each Pollo, Asado, y Adobada and I can’t figure out which one I enjoyed more. Each taco comes on two small corn tortillas with fresh cilantro and chopped onion. The kicker is the perfectly marinited meat. Sooooo delicious. I also had a side of rice and beans. The rice is heavenly. It is perfectly seasoned with what I think might be a touch of saffron, light and fluffy and not greasy at all. Although the beans were also tasty, I am in love with the rice, so I will likely just get a second portion of that my next visit. I saw that they sell tamales as well, and could not resist trying one. I got the chicken. It was not overly seasoned, but had a nice kick from peppers. I am so happy that I found this delicous restaurant. I got my food to go, but there are a number of little booths in the back, so I will probably eat in next time. They also sell aguas frescas. This mercadito is also a carneceria, panaderia, and have produce and a huge amount of spices for cheap! I believe in supporting neighborhood businesses, so I will come back often. I am just sorry it took me so long to venture in. Forget Mazatlan which is twice as much money and gross El Charro. This place is it. Friendly people, delicious food. I am sold!

The tacos were ok. I just wish the carne asada meat had more flavor. They make a fresh guacamole, which is decent.

This place is awesome! They have a variety of different meats(marinated or not). The employees are very nice, although English is a little limited but they know enough to help you out. They have a small assortment of Mexican groceries; candies, baked goods, condiments, and seasonings. There’s a small produce section enough to finish off your Mexican fixings! Great place!

You know I know«for real.» This place is for real. It is not much to look at but it serves some amazing tacos. I really like their beef tongue tacos. I know it is not for everyone but these tacos were done to perfection. The place is located in the back of the store next to the butcher shop. The store also has a bakery and fresh Mexican produce. I have not tried anything else on the menu but if they are anything like the tacos then you will be extremely satisfied. As of this writing I have had their tacos quite a few times. The price is reasonable; between $ 1.25 and $ 1.79 per tacos. Enjoy.

I stopped by this gem of a Mexican market yesterday because I’m looking for a place that sells fresh masa so I can make my own tamales. The store is very well stocked, the help is extremely friendly, and I was treated to one of their freshly made tamales so I could sample the masa. WOW!!! Absolutely delicious, with lots of rich flavors and the perfect amount of spice! I can’t wait to return and purchase all my supplies and ingredients, plus they have huge tamale pots for sale at a reasonable price. Of course I will treat myself to a tasty meal from the Taqueria while I’m there. Great discovery!!! I plan to become a regular

This place is delicious! I had the steak burrito, with sour cream added, and I loved it. The steak was diced small and cooked until it was crunchy… the flavor was awesome! The green salsa that came with was just the perfect spiciness, and the burrito was huge! Not joking, it was about 12″ long. I wasn’t even able to eat half of it, and I am capable of eating a lot :) The employees were super nice and were willing to cook a few minutes before 9pm even though they were basically closing and cleaning up for the night. What a great find!

This is a wonderful neighborhood market for Mexican groceries and fresh produce, even pinatas. It has its own sit-in or take out Taqueria that is surprisingly spacious. It’s a great place to have a quick lunch or dinner. If you sit in the parking lot you will notice traffic in and out of this family owned venue all day. They work hard to keep their customers happy. I’ve enjoy their tacos with chicken and their carne asada. They are authentic – and being from Texas, I want real local regular fare Mexican food with a great pico de gallo. I do not like Azteca or other chain Tex-Mex places. When it came time to throw a large outdoor party I decided to order all the taco makings from them as take-out catering. They couldn’t have been nicer to work with. They took my order, carefully noting some of the allergens to avoid for a certain guest of honor, and they had two types of chicken(pulled, shredded chicken and fajita chicken) and a large pan of their wonderful rice ready for me the day of the party. I also bought their pico de gallo and the tomatillo sauce. My guests loved it all. I will definitely do this again. I drive 30 minutes to get to this market when there are others closer. It’s not too far off of Hwy 410 off of Main Street in Sumner near Aversano’s. They are worth the drive and worth every penny.
