Thanks for fixing my kia!!! Lol danny and friends typically do only high end imports. Still took care of me and the best part is the communication. Danny always kept me updated via text, which is awesome bc i rarely have the time to answer my phone. Dub autowerks for life, period!!!

Should of saved my money and shot the engine block with my 300 blackout. Seriously this shop sucks. And the mechanics don’t even know what engine timing is. Btw all the reviews on hereare written by employees. Pfft

if you own a german car, then you (should) know that not just anyone is qualified to provide it service. you bought a german vehicle because you enjoy the experience of driving, and if you don’t happen to also enjoy learning the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of maintaining this vehicle, then you need to find someone who does.
as an engineer who has been working on my own porsche and volkswagen vehicles for over a decade, i can tell when i meet someone who shares my passion for these vehicles. danny is not just a mechanic – he’s a genuine enthusiast. i bought an engine from him for a project and can say without reservation that every time i have interacted with danny, i have come away with a better understanding of volkswagens. whether you are trying to improve the performance of your vehicle without damaging it or just trying to keep your daily driver on the road for another 100,000 miles, this is exactly the type of mechanic that you want in your corner!

I have nothing but great things to say about Dub Autowerks. After the warranty ran out on my 2012 Volkswagen GTI I immediately started looking for a reputable independent shop. I had several less than desirable experiences from Larson’s service department in Tacoma, so I went to facebook and shot a message out in a local VW enthusiasts group and was immediately steered toward Dub’s shop in Sumner. Last summer they did a DSG transmission service for me. This is a fairly expensive service especially at the dealer, but Dub came through cheaper. Just recently I found a major coolant leak at my waterpump — Dub took care of it all and also performed an additional maintenance which I was due for. Dub Autowerks got in an out pretty quick and now my GTI runs like a top again. The whole crew at Dub is great and super pleasant to work with. After going to them for repair/​maintenance work on my GTI now twice, it’s easy to see why the community backs them so heavily.

Finding a great mechanic is like finding a good doctor, lawyer, or real estate agent. You need someone whom you can trust to do the job, care about your car as you would, and charge you a fair price.
I went to many mechanics before I was referred to dub Autowerks. I live in Seattle but I am willing to make the drive down there for something large or small because I truly feel like they have my best interest at heart and that definitely earns my loyalty as a customer.
They FREE diagnostics! FREE. Did I mention they were free. Which means they will spend time, take you car apart tell you what’s wrong with it and if you decide you don’t want to fix it; they will put it back together and send you on your way. Mind you, they still have to pay their employees hourly during shop hours on something just to diagnose the problem. Most places will charge you for the time they took to take things apart.
Their prices are fair and most of the time Come in at lower bids than what other mechanics charge.
They are honest and knowledgeable and are experts in german cars. I’ve taken my car to other mechanics that did not specialize in German cars and I had to pay someone else to fix their problem.
The reason they only have a handful of reviews is because they never ask people to review them. These guys are too busy fixing cars and being mechanics. I always have asked them to push for Unilocal reviews because people love them so much and most of their business comes from referrals. But try to argue with a mechanic that Unilocal works and it’s hard to convince them it’s time well spent.
You won’t regret bringing your car here.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience at Dub Autowerks. I am a shadetree mechanic with an old Jetta and I was getting ready to travel across the state. I didn’t want to trust my drive to chance so I decided to have the car gone over by a professional before making the trip. Their technician, Jeremi, got the joy of working on my vehicle and found several glaring issues. He took very detailed notes on all the things he found wrong and Jon sent me a quote with the proposed repairs. Despite all the issues they found being entirely my fault, both Jeremi and Jon were very respectful and got right to work when I approved the repairs. When they started working on the car they found a few other problems but corrected them since they were able to complete the proposed repairs for less than anticipated. When I got my final bill it was close to $ 200 cheaper than the original quote and they were able to do substantially more work. Also, I was on a tight timeline, I mentioned this to Jon and they did everything they could to fix the car quickly. I dropped it off on Monday and had it back Thursday, well within my timeline.
What I found most reassuring was that it seemed Jon and Jeremi took a genuine interest in getting my car completely roadworthy. I’ve been to other mechanics before where you bring the car in, they fix what you ask them to do and they boot you out the door after you pay the bill. At Dub Autowerks Jeremi took the time to explain some of the things he fixed and how he fixed them. Jon explained things that could be done down the road but didn’t try to scare me into repairing them right away or pressuring me to spend more money. I wouldn’t hesitate to take my car there again. It was money well spent and I made it across the state with absolutely no issues.
Some people have mentioned Dub Autowerks is hard to get a hold of but you have to realize that this shop operates with less overhead than most, which means lower prices to the customer. If you email them, Jon is quick to reply since he can get to you when he has the time. Its unfortunate that people take stars off of their experience when they even state that the work was done well and quickly.
To sum up my experience. Dub Autowerks is well priced, does good work, communicates well to the customer and cares about the customer. You guys really kick ass.

Danny and crew are awesome. I send as many people as I possibly can his way. Prices are more than fair, people are more than knowledgeable, and in my book that’s a win/​win. There’s a reason they’re so busy.

I have taken my audi (and all other Euro cars ive acquired) to this shop since ownership (around 3.5 years now). Danny is straightforward with what is wrong with the vehicle, what he can do to fix the problem, and how he can get the job done right for the least amount of money. I was floored when i first started coming here since the shop rate was so cheap, that that was only because Danny doesnt care about the profit he was making, he was more concerned about getting his name out there as a reputable guy who does outstanding work on VW’s and Audis. His passion for these cars really shines.
He is also a great supporter of the local Euro scene here as well. I am a fiathful Dub Autowerks customer and refer them to all of my friends.

This place was a pigstye. The owner was shouting at his help while talking to me and had hardware sticking out of his lips and nose. Not exactly what I was expecting from a former military man. I won’t go back.

I was having some regular maintenance work and problem repairs done on my car and the guys here did awesome! They didnt charge a diagnostic fee and the service was quick and honest.
Not knowing much about cars it is pretty easy to get extra work done without knowing it’s not needed which means $$$, this has happened at dealerships. Dub Autowerks always told me what repairs were needed now and repairs that would eventually need done but could wait a while. I always hated picking my car up at the dealership knowing that the bill was going to be unaffordable. I’ve never had pricing complaints or surprise charges with Dub Autowerks. When the bill comes it’s always exactly what I was expecting. I’m happy to pay knowing that quality work was done and that they always guarantee their work.

These guys did great work. They fixed what the last shop had messed up and really knew their stuff. The other review couldn’t be further from my experience. They were very prompt and responsive. I have called about a couple other things and much to my surprise, they were honest and up front. Something that was covered under a recall was brought to my attention to save me money. Then when I had a very common problem with oil pressure, they said they had fixed most of the things relating to it and just fixed it for free as most was under warranty. Best VW shop by far. Very fair prices, honest ownership and nice guys.
I would recommend anyone with a VW, Audi, BMW, Benz, etc. should look no further.

PROS: They took care of me on price for sure and didn’t try to up sale me on anything. Even though I know I need a lot more work done. Got the work done fast.
CONS: Very hard to get ahold of even during normal business hours. When they say there gonna call by a certain time they usually don’t.
And of course no extra bell and whistles. (Car Cleaning etc.)
