This tree service worked on a yard behind my house, which was accessible only through several other properties. To get their large machines through, they went through a vacant lot next to my house and 3 – 4 other backyards. They removed one person’s fence (and didn’t replace it), and damaged my fence and my neighbor’s fence (by driving their machines into it).
While the damage was minor, it was the lack of accepting responsibility on the part of the owner, and handling of the repairs that was awful. While the workers were friendly (the owner was not on-​site), we had to call the owner, and he was incredibly arrogant and rude about the whole situation. He refused to give me his insurance information, and his workers did not have any paperwork in the truck. They promised to come back and repair our brick and wood fence, but never showed up or returned our calls. My husband ended up fixing it himself, and working something out with the property owner.
As an added note, the property owner said that their agreement was to remove trees AND the stumps, but once started, they wanted to charge $ 600 more to grind the stumps. They left without finishing the work, but still cashed the check.
To sum it up, if you don’t want your neighbors’ properties damaged, or a difficult to deal with owner that doesn’t finish what was promised, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
