i took my cat Midnight to have his teeth cleaned, they did a GREAT job removed 3 teeth and the price priceless, he feels so much better, now he is more loving. THE Staff is just the BEST AAA+++ the the vets are also great AAAA++++ i will keep going there for sure!!!

I can not say enough about this place! They are great and reasonable cost. You may have to wait but it is worth it. If you do not want to wait, schedule a grooming and a ver visit same day and drop your pet off.

I would like to tell you my story my dog was over due for going to see the vet.
I looked at his paper work and he was behind in his shots.
I was looking high and low for a place that would give great service and won’t hurt my pocket so bad
I called a friend and she gave the information for this place.
What a blessing.
I was able to bring my dog in the next day
Parking was very easy
When I walked in this place I was greeted with so much kindness.
We did not have to set long before it was time to walk to the back.
This was my dog 1^st time at this place but he was so nice to everyone. If you know your pet it will let you know we have got to go. Lol
The Vet was so great with him.
After he looked over my dog paper work and giving him a full exam.
The Vet was able to tell me all the shots he needed and that he had a small ear infection.
Our Vet visit was great it has been a few days that my dog has been taking his MED’s for his ear infection and he is doing great.
Delevan is playing around the house and he has not had no change in his eating habits.
And trust me we will be going back to this place for our Vet visits
And it was so wonderful that this place did not break my pocket.

This is like doggy love heaven by doctors who REALLY care about them! Dr. Nathan is awsome! I took my poor sick frenchy who was vomitting and pooping blood due to a horrible upset stomach!;(He did an excellent job at diagnosing him, answer questions after work hours, and again when I brought him back and he gave me REALISTIC options to keep on treating him. He is great he loves animals and truly cares for them. This is place is something else. very diferent from ALL those place who say they love animals bla bla they want your money basically! … It is not like this HERE they respect the owner and care for the dog! thats why its packed here! Love it this will be my dogs new doctor!

I cannot sing the praises of Summit Animal Hospital enough. Drs Tracee and Jen have always been wonderful with my pets, most recently my cat, Buffy. Buffy had end stage renal failure, and before giving up on her, we tried many treatments to help her, and we did this without breaking the bank. They charged me less for all her treatments than a local animal hospital cost me just to walk in. When the time came for Buffy to be released from her pain, Dr Tracee assured me we were making the right decision. Three times during the process, she gave me a hug. The staff was so nice, let me have as much time as I needed, and at one point let me sit in a different little waiting area because I was crying. There is no place better than this. (Do not go on a Monday morning, however, as it is crazy busy!)

Over the last year our family has gotten to know the majority of the staff at SAH. We had an elderly dog who they helped us care for her through her last year and make it better and more comfortable. From the vets to the front desk staff everyone was compassionate and caring and went above and beyond for our family. We will continue to bring our other dog here, and any other pets as our family grows. You could not find a better and truly more caring group of people.

I drive all the way down here for them to take care of my puppy. This team truly cares about the animals that are brought in. I’ve had her ears cropped here and they turned out very nice. She’s also had all her shots here, easy in and out process. There was also a problem with her skin where she was getting allergic to the weather and they got us in with a free check up and got some medication for her.
You love your pet? So does this team.

Let me start off by saying this place is very caring and good at what they do. After adopting a pit mix rescue dog from a shelter, my new dog refused to eat and was profusely vomiting and having restroom issues. 12 hours post adoption I came here as they were listed as a vet that would give a free exam for adoption dogs. My new 3 year old pup also had a deep cough. After receiving meds and an exam my dog did not get better. Three consecutive days here going back and forth then an emergency admission. my pup was very sick dehydrating and had some viral infection. After blood tests, fecal tests, Iv’s, subcutaneous saline hydration, antiobiotics, xrays, barium test… the dog’s intestines were not moving food and were possibly blocked. Lucky me! Exploratory surgery to remove a possible blockage. OK, lets get this little girl better. The surgery was tense because her viral respiratory infection was serious and I was worried. She pulled through with no blockage but was diagnosed with an extremely irritated intestine and pancreas. Her condition was guarded. If her intestines would not start working again, she would die. Two days post surgery Doctor Tracee called me and said she was not eating on her own (the dog not the doctor). We talked for 10 mins and mid conversation the doctor exclaimed my «assistant said she is eating now».YES! 24 hours after that my dog’s progress was moving forward. Her appetite increased and her digestion returned to normal. Her infection was subsiding and she was responding to the meds. After 4 days my dog was home positively recovering and full of energy. Her appetite was ferocious. Everything was on par but we realized that in one small area near her stitches there was inflammation. The infection had settled in the tissue near her sutures. Round 2. The incision was opened and cleaned including a drain tube inserted. This required more hospitalization and mega anti biotics. The care here was very comprehensive and compassionate. My dog is now home doing really good. Her wound is healing and the follow up care at Summit is phenomenal. Dr. Tracee sincerely cared about my dog and was very considerate in pricing our care. I know from having other pets what this should have cost. Let me just say it was not even close, no way. She did me right! I had tears in my eyes. Summit Vet is people care for pups.

I love Summit Animal Hospital. After Dr. Friederich (the dad) spent many years encouraging me to neuter my Boxer, I finally did it 8 years later with Dr. Tracye. It was so successful that I just took my new puppy for the same procedure. After trying other vets closer to my home, I always return to Summit Animal Hospital. All the other vets would try to upsell there testing, products, etc. while not addressing my chief concern. I won’t go anywhere else.

How can an animal hospital get any better than this? Dr. Runke and the rest of the staff have been amazing with my puppy Truman. They truly care about his well being and it really shows. I went in recently to get Truman his yearly shots. I mentioned how I was planning on getting him neutered in another week so I was coming in for his shots first. Dr. Runke told me they could get him neutered the same day as well. I was really nervous about this because I thought it may be dangerous for a dog to get his shots and a neutering the same day. I was assured that he would be absolutely fine. Sure enough, it all went well. But what really blows me away is that the staff could tell how nervous I was about the whole procedure and Dr. Runke offered to drive Truman back to my house after his shift so that I didn’t have to wait until tomorrow to pick him up. If that isn’t amazing customer service and care, I don’t know what is. He dropped off Truman at my house later that night with the meds I was to give him for the next 10 days, and he told me to let him know if I had any concerns. I can’t be any more grateful to Dr. Runke and the rest of the staff at Summit Animal Hospital. They are amazing people. Thanks!

Took my cat here and loved the treatment she got. I also brought my dog here and was also happy with the care. The place is not beautiful, but the staff is nice. There are plenty of seats in the waiting room and the location is convenient.
I took off a star because its kind of annoying that you can’t make an appointment. But its great if you have a last minute veterinary need/​emergency, so that has its plusses and minuses.

Over the years we’ve had our pets helped by the wonderful Vets of the Summit Animal Hospital, both by Dr. Fred and his daughter Tracy.
Two weeks ago our beloved indoor/​outdoor cat Tiger (Ti Ti for short), was very badly injured by an unknown source, Right way, I called Dr. Tracy and a staff member picked her up and drove her to the animal hospital. There, Tiger had a successful operation performed by Dr. Tracy, an expert in Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Jen, another great Vet kept in touch with me regarding Tiger’s recovery.
Other staff members equally reassuring kept in touch regarding her condition and she was returned to us Friday evening after a week stay and looks beautiful, clean, healthy and back to his old self.

I took my cat to this vet for shots and an operation. The veternarian, Dr. Tracy, is very knowledgeable and gives you information about different procedures, but encourages you to do what is best for you and your pet. The quality of care for the cost they charge is excellent. I haven’t heard of a better vet in the area.

I got my Doberman’s ears cropped here. The staff was friendly and treated my dog like their own.

I love Dr. Tacey, she is a fantastic vet and cares about the animals brought in here. I take my cat and dog here. This is a family run business and everyone I have met is friendly. No need for an apt, just walk in. It can get very busy, so if you have a time limit call ahead and see how busy they are. I find the prices very affordable. The quality of care Dr Tracey gives is wonderful.
Update: They have added two more vets (Dr Jen and Dr Nathan) who are both fantastic. Also, I now bring my dogs for grooming here as well. Kathy does a great job.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place. I’ve been coming here for about 8 years… During that time, yes Dr Fred… took superior care of my male stray I had. Since then I have seen him save dogs lives, so… believe what you want, but this man (who currently doesn’t practice at this location) is no monster.
Back to business. I now see Dr Fred’s daughter, also a vet here, Dr. Tracie I believe her name is, she is wonderful! She has single handily saved my friends dog that has a liver shunt. I’m so glad I tell people to come here. It’s mainly a walk in clinic but if you call, they answer and they tell you yes, we’ll make an appt or no, just come in between this time and that and we’ll get it done.
Price wise, sometimes it’s expensive sometimes it’s really (like really) cheap, the only thing that matters is the health of my animals so… money sometimes is no object, ya dig?
I drive from waaaaay up north with my two dogs to see this vet. I doubt I’d recommend a vet this much, to be honest.

If you love your pet don’t take them here! Doctor Fredrich (if you even want to call him a doctor/​vet) is a monster and has been arrested and charged a few times on seperate occasions. From storing dead dogs in the freezer to operating on pets while smoking cigars, this guy has done it all. He also condones dog fighting and fixes them up so they can continue to fight, Don’t believe me? Look him up and please save your pet’s life by not taking him there! The place is also completley unsanitary and just disgusting!!!

Old school vet– great doctors, great prices. No frills. A little messy and crowded, but these guys are available ²⁴⁄₇ and honestly care. My boxer had advanced limes and our regular vet wanted us to wait 3 days to see them. Summit took us in immediately and got the pup cured within 2 weeks. Since then our boxer has had 2 other problems and has recovered well. Thanks guys!
