Springview Academy

I have 2 children that have attended Springview and I couldn’t be happier with what they have provided for my children through the years. The staff is very positive, nurturing and focused on healthy growth and development for the children. I have loved that the teachers have a curriculum that promotes learning and new fun activities daily. What appealed to me at first was that environment is very clean and organized. I was fortunate enough to go on my lunch break and feed my kids when they were infants and I can’t tell you how clean the ladies keep the place and how involved they are with the kids. Each child is given so much love and attention. Lots of hugs and laughter. There was also frequent cleaning of toys and surfaces. As a mom and a nurse, I do appreciate infection control! I always felt so welcome during the time that I went there daily at lunch.
Both of my kids started there at 2 – 3 months old and one graduated last year. Now one child is in Kindergarten and her teacher is so impressed with her wealth of knowledge, as am I. My 3y year old continues to thrive there and can’t wait to tell all about his day and what he learned about in «circle time». It is obvious that this is not just a day care, but a nurturing educational environment.
A couple other things worth mentioning: As a business, they are very organized and professional. They are excellent with communication and send out email reminders for important dates (ex. picture day or field trips). They upload pictures of your little one to a personal Snapfish album monthly. It is always fun to see what they are up to during the day when I’m at work. They also just renovated the interior and have incorporated a new healthy lunch menu option. All in all, Springview is the whole package. I can’t say enough to sing their praises! I have always felt so comfortable leaving my children in their care.

My oldest son has been a student here for about 4 months, and I cannot say enough good things about this preschool!
What’s so great about it, you may be wondering…
Constant contact with the school. I receive weekly emails from the director, updating me on lesson plans and any special events (think field trips and fundraisers). The teachers call parents monthly to address any concerns or questions we may have. Each month, photos of my child are uploaded to a private Snapfish account.
They’re cloth diaper friendly! Your child brings their own lunch each day, or you can opt to order lunch (menus and order forms are available from the school). Right now, my sons options for ordering lunch are Mac and Cheese from McAlisters Deli one on day, or Grilled Chicken from Applebee’s on another day. Refrigerators and microwaves are available in the classroom, so my son generally takes leftovers for lunch. Also, the school is completely nut free!
Okay…but what about academics? Each week has a theme. Let’s take the week they learned about dental health as an example. It included making tooth artwork, reading books about teeth, a visit from a dentist and learning the Spanish word for teeth (diente).
In the short time my son has been in attendance, he’s made so much progress. Their program truly is Kindergarten Prep. I can’t wait until my younger son begins school here in the fall.
