Great service and hospitality. I love their Jones soda fountain… Free refills! My husband loved his dish, the drunken noodles! I got the teriyaki udon bowl and it was good! We split the appetizer rolls… Delicious! The only thing holding it back from 5 stars is it was just an average experience, I am just not a huge fan of Asian noddles. I will probably try something a little more bland next time– just a personal preference. Maybe the Mac and cheese, or marinara. I will be back for more!

Really didn’t expect much(every time I read good reviews about new restaurants on Unilocal and tried there, I didn’t have a good experience) but actually it was great. You order at the front and they bring the food to your table. I ordered Lumpia, Ramen w/Jjambong broth + beef topping and Drunken noodle w/beef topping. Lumpia wasn’t a store bought, it did have a good bite to it. But 2 pcs for $ 2.99 is not cheap. Ramen was pretty good. You can choose flavor of broth and toppings.(extra $ 2.99) beef was very tender and flavorful. Comes with fish cake, eggs & mushrooms. But I picked Jjambong broth which is Korean style spicy broth but it was nothing like Jjambbong, it was just a soy based broth with extra pepper flakes. It was still good ramen but don’t expect to taste actual«Jjambong» in it. Drunken noodle was great. Good portion too. Same braised beef, very tender. Comes with bell pepper, onion and tomato. Mine didn’t have bean sprouts in it(it says it does on the menu), it’d taste better if it did. Overall everything seasoned great and tasted good. Small things I mentioned wasn’t a big deal since it tasted good, also a great portion and budget friendly since most of menu are under $ 10. Will be back to try Pancit and Gyoza!

The teriyaki udon with chicken was amazing, great flavor! The price was actually very good for the amount of food you get! I got a regular sized bowl and it was beyond enough, I had to get a take-out box !! Very clean and friendly environment as well!

My food was SUPER bland but my husband LOVED his. Two different dishes and two totally different taste buds. I would maybe give it another try but I felt like it was a waste of my $ 10.

3 star food and 4 star original concept. Menu has different noodle dishes from different cuisine. I had the shoyu ramen. Pork was delicous and it wasn’t too salty like some ramen. You get a full egg and seaweed strips which I really liked. Another person in our party had the drunken noodles. This was also good. A little sweet and very good with the beef. The cajun is creamy with what my boyfriend describes as a little spice(I like spicy food and didn’t think it was spicy at all but flavorful). All in all, not disappointing and pretty tasty. Not a big place but just enough room. They also serve jones sodas.

Ate there yesterday. I had the small Singapore curry noodles with chicken. I loved it and had Jones sugar free cola for the first time which I loved. The cashier was exceptional and the order came out fast. I am a big guy and could only eat half of my small order. Expand to Pensacola and I will be a loyal customer I only wish you had kimchi as a side dish on your menu. Thanks!

The atmosphere was good, we went for lunch. It was ok. I guess for lunch it was alright, but very expensive for soup and noodles.

You can make better pasta at home using the $ 1 sides at Walmart. Everything about this place is disgusting and it’s quite expensive for the size. The shrimp is disgusting texture like rubber and seemed fake!

My wife is a big fan of noodle dishes. With her I have explored many fantastic types of Phở, ramen, and various other noodly fare. We felt a place that celebrates the obsession with such cuisine would be a good place to stop in for a late lunch one day. We weren’t wrong. I got the Coconut Curry Laksa, and my wife got the Jjambbong. Both were pretty darn tasty. We got the kids mac n’ cheese for our son. It was just okay in my opinion, but it was plenty cheesy so he was happy. Mine had plenty of flavor. The broth was delicious, and there was a soft boiled egg that was prepared just right and added some nice flavor and texture. My wife’s was more on the salty side with bits of seaweed and tofu. There were also mushrooms to amp up the savory side of things. Noodle Nerd is conveniently located right next to the Azalea shopping center, so it’s a great place to carb up before or in between shopping. They have Jones cola as their fountain drink selection, so it’s a nice change from normal fountain options. There are plenty of vegetarian options, but you can add meat to pretty much any dish if you’re on the carnivorous side. By the time my wife and I were halfway through our meal we were already planning on coming back and bringing others with us!

Went there for dinner yesterday, and it was awesome. Great service, great food. The owner is very friendly to us. me and my little brother got the Tonkotsu Raman and I have to say it is very different from every other raman place I have been, The flavor is very«deep» which is how I like it. Will be back!!!

Been here a few times for lunch since they have opened, and I must say they have the best noodle in Summerville! I was greeted by the owner itself«Gamby» which made me feel very special. I got the small drunken noodle and surprisingly the portion was big for the lunch price. Everyone should definitely try them out and I’ll definitely be back for more! Thank you for making Summerville even better!

We’ve visited the Noodle Nerd twice in the last month. The first time was satisfactory– the portions were large and the food was okay. It wasn’t stellar, but it wasn’t bad either. Our second visit will also be our last visit. It took over 40 minutes for two entrees and when we did receive them they were basically inedible. The bacon mac n cheese was flavorless and the pansit was bitter. The shrimp tasted very fishy. I wanted to like this place, but it’s not worth the time or money.

Not what I expected. More like a fast food noodle joint. And you can tell by the taste. Service was good. I would give them a second chance if I was in a hurry.

We really liked our dinner, with minor reservations. They made perfect ramen for my picky 8-year-old: noodles, broth, tofu, and eggs. He was about 2 bites in and already planning the next trip. Cajun Pasta and Pancit were both very good. I didn’t get to try the gyoza but they disappeared quickly. The only thing we didn’t like was the kid’s Mac n cheese… too much liquid smoke. It wasn’t gross, but we won’t order it again. The menu is pretty diverse, and e already know what we’ll have on our next visit.

Let’s just have some common sense and not out a steaming bowl of mac and cheese, which was bland and something I could make at home, in front of 10 month old. Took way too long and had no seasoning for the drunken noodles. Very disappointing.

I have a food based instagram page @fatkid4life241(so check out my full review there later today) where I do food reviews and recipes, food news, and cooking tips. So I decided to check out Noodle Nerds first branch in Summerville, SC. I sampled the pot stickers, cajun pasta bowl, and the drunken noodles. I expecially loved the pot stickers, simply amazing. The cajun noodles though yes cajun means spicy but I found the spice slightly overwhelmingly to the dish and the drunken noodles though good had a lot of cilantro just piled on top for no reason. The only things I didn’t like is their drink selection is dismal and the sweet tea is not fresh brewed which even mcd’s can manage to do so they need to step that up.

Today was my first time at Noodle Nerd. I got the small Cajun bowl and it was delicious. My wife got the large sesame bowl and could not finish it. This is not an Asian restaurant. It has Asian dishes but it is Americanized. I have traveled the majority of Asia and none of the Asian restaurants could measure to being there. Noodle Nerd is very good. I do think the prices are little steep. 25 dollars for two dishes and they expect a tip. For that price I could go to a nicer sir down restaurant and get higher quality food. Noodle Nerd is here and when people quit trying to make it a fancy restaurant they will start enjoying their food.

Absolutely awful I got the drunken noodle wirh brisket and it was greasy and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It wasn’t spicy at all eithet. The brisket had a thick layer of fat on it and was tasteless too The other people in my part got the sesame noodle and the panic and all of our noodles tasted the same! No sauce like the menu Said. Just oil Gross

The food here is great. The price is reasonable for the food you get here. It seems like everyone who posted a review went on a bad day(keep in mind they just opened guys). I saw plenty of high chairs when i went. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes they serve. If you don’t believe me you should try them out for yourself. I highly recommend. P. s. Don’t go in assuming it is an asian restaurant because it is not, it is a pasta house with asian and american dishes.

We have been excited about this place for a few months now. Finally had time to stop in and try out the menu. It’s a fast casual place, order at the counter, they bring your food to you. You can get one of two sizes(small/large) of any noodle combo on the menu aside from the ramen. Add chicken, shrimp, pork or brisket for extra. Not much available for the kids options, buttered noodles with a protein choice and side of sauce. We decided on the gyoza appetizer,(because why not!) the Cajun noodles with shrimp, pancit with jumbo shrimp and two kids noodles with chicken and Alfredo sauce, 4 drinks and our total was over $ 40. Wow. The gyoza came first, we had smelled something burning minutes before and turns out it was a few of our gyoza. Two of the five(six?) were completely black on the bottom. These obviously aren’t handmade so I wasn’t expecting anything gourmet, flavor other than the burned ones was standard gyoza flavor. Next came the kids meals, elbow macaroni with butter, grilled chicken and a side of Alfredo sauce. All of this was flavored well. A good option for adults. About 10 minutes later both of our entrees came. The Cajun pasta was delicious, definitely seasoned right and with the sausage already in there, there really was no need to add the shrimp, although it mixed well. Large portion was more than enough, unless you have a huge appetite or want leftovers, a small would suffice almost anyone. The pancit, oh the pancit… I was so excited for this. It’s one of my favorite Filipino foods. I was disappointed. The noodles were mushy, the shrimp had no flavor and tasted fishy, the bowl itself was very bland and greasy. Not what I expected. I mixed it around, hoping it was just the top, but the whole bowl was just blah. Let me preface with this… I hate sending back food. I feel awful doing it. But after you pay over $ 40 for a fast casual meal, you kind of want something edible. They were very accommodating to my request for another dish. I ended up switching for the sesame soba noodles… that was safe right? Again, the noodles were a little overdone. The vegetables(spinach/snow peas) were fine, I could taste the sesame oil/seeds, but other than that, no flavor! I added some soyu, threw the towel in and waited on the family to finish eating. I noticed that the primary chef was training someone on the grill on the way out, I’m hoping that this snafu was only temporary. I think this place has potential to be a great noodle house, but please! Get the Asian noodle dishes perfected! I’d love to have the ramen, but knowing what authentic ramen is, I fear I’d be let down. Customer service is good. Kids at the counter could be a little more personable. Overall a good experience, just hoping the next time we go they have it together!
