Been here twice now. Pontoon boats are great, split it with 10 people and you are on;y dropping 30 a person plus gas. Gas total averages to be 30 something, but if you drive it hard some people hit 50 total. They also have a small 12 foot motor boat. Very maneuverable but likely the slowest boat you have ever seen. Once nice tough though… driving full speed ALL day long we only spent 10 bucks in gas. Staff is helpful and friendly and as quick as they can be. I suppose not being warned about the speed issues of the 12 foot boat kinda bothered me. Due note that this place is NOT climber friendly. DWS is best done from the summersville retreat

We rented a pontoon boat here in July. The boat was in great shape, clean and ran great-and fast. The only downside we didn’t know about until after we were out on the lake: If you want to anchor out– there are no anchors for the boat! This poses a problem if you don’t want to drift. We cruised back in to the marina later in the day to ask for an anchor(and a bathroom break) and we were told they don’t give them out anymore. I guess it’s because some of the areas are very shallow and the anchor can get caught-and lost. Still, it would have been nice to have one. Summersville Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes I’ve been on. The cliffs are amazing to see up close and it’s great to watch people jump from them. The lake itself is very big and it’s easy to get lost and turned around-so be prepared. I will definitely be back to Summersville Lake and the marina.

Great for people who owns boats/jet skis, etc. They also have a rental area for those of you who do not own. I realy like the view and place is clean.
